I think the simplest term in explaining these two libraries is that Nucleus is geared more towards general OCHESTRAL sound while Jaeger is geared towards EPIC music. I feel if you want more subtle tones then Nucleus but if you want EPIC, HARD HITTING, PUNCHY sound, then Jaeger is where your money should be. And, currently, it's only $359 versus the $599 normal sale price. Both, are absolutely worth it. My golden rule is that it never hurts to add more libraries because stacking libraries will give you more defined, rich sounds that are closer to realistic than a library by itself.
I got jaeger right when it came out a few years back, they dropped an update for it and expanded it by a pretty significant amount, re-skinned it and made it available from the library section in kontakt. I also have so many other libraries from cinesample and orchestral tools and spitfire, I don’t think I’ll buy nucleus, but their new Chorus choir library from AI looks extremely well done and worth the money
Pretty major error here... Your nucleus version is severely out of date. Nucleus has added more instruments since then such as the harp, solo bassoon, solo clarinet, some percussion and other improvements.
I really like Audio Imperia products but my only complain is the lack of portamento on strings sections, also some articulations on the woodwinds like trills etc
The sound of the choir, to me, sounded a lot like the Lord of the rings. Whereas, the vocals from Merenth sound more epic. So the takeaway I was able to discern, is that it seems like if you're planning on writing music akin to the Lord of the rings score, then Nucleus should be where you're at. If however, you're wanting to write music more in the vein of two steps from hell, then Jaeger seems like a more fitting product.
thank you, actually there is a promo going on at native insztruments. you will get nucleus, solo, klavier etc for 399. good deal and no need for jaeger afterwards imho

@@Zunfei same here 🤣, when I got the laptop I had absolutely no intention of making music so it was fine, but now I’m here.

Does anybody know if that Jaeger solo vocal is still available as a standalone?
I'm pretty sure it is. Its called Jaeger Hangar IV on their website I believe
It's not available anymore, AI had a sale for all of their Full Kontakt libraries last year since they were going out on a hiatus.
I like Nucleus. I only have Nucleus (Lite) (of these 2). 😂
Good choice :D
