    Just got my first GoPro. Do you mind sharing what settings you use?

      We use the basic GoPro settings. Standard go pro color, 5.3k 30fps, and vary between the linear and wide lens settings.

    Thanks for taking the time to share this. My wife has a Canon Rebel T7i and I’ve been debating on documenting my hunts for a while, so I ended up buying 2 GoPros and a camera arm to use the Rebel with. This will be my first year to self-film.

      I started out with the Canon T6i and used that for 4 seasons!

      @@BowOnlyOutdoors good to know. I assumed it was good enough but wasn’t sure given the varying models I’ve seen used.

    What camera would you reccomend that's not the R6 for beginners I don't feel like biting the bullet on that drive tag for a beginner

    How do you run your lav mic and external mic into the same camera? Is it an adapter with 2 female connections that go into one male connection? Are you able to separate the audio into separate channels so you can eliminate external mic noise when you want the lav mic to be more prevalent? Thanks for this detailed breakdown!

    • @BowOnlyOutdoors
      @BowOnlyOutdoors  3 месяца назад +1

      Great question! We run an adapter like you mentioned that records one mic on the left audio channel and the other mic on the right audio channel. We then mesh them together in post so the audio is evenly distributed to both the left and right channels.

      @@BowOnlyOutdoors Ok awesome. I wondered if that was possible but haven't tried it. Do you have a recommendation on the adapter by chance? Thanks for responding!

    Cool tip on how to silently operate ratchet straps. When pulling the buckle back to tighten, simultaneously hold the small clip in the center the opposite way (down). This won’t allow the teeth to bind and click over that piece of metal and will therefore be silent. Let go when you’ve pulled the buckle all the way back and the teeth will bind again. Then when you need to let the buckle forward again to tighten more, hold the two tabs that allow you to normally loosen it and let go of it just before it gets to the bottom. Hope that makes sense, If you do this it can almost be completely silent!
