    I have my sigma fl now for 7-8 month and i absolutely love it. Its Super breathable, durable and the fit is perfect. Just not for the rain. The water will go through in obe minuite. But for hiking in moderat temprezures and climbing the sigma pants are perfect. I used it a lot in the climbing gym (2x a week for 7-8 month) and there is just one little little tear in it. Super comfi to wear and worth the money 👌 thanks for the awesome video

    I have just ordered these pants for this winter coming, do you think there will be warm enough for our British winters? I love ARCTERYX gear and have bought a lot of clothing from them and never been disappointed. hope I've made the right choice!

      Hi Ellis. The Sigma AR pants would be great for all year use, just layer up underneath if it's really freezing!

    Thanks for the great review! What’s the difference between the Sigma and the Gamma lines of pants?

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  3 года назад +2

      Hi, Sigma products are focused primarily on climbing, they are minimalist and suitable for dynamic movement. Gamma products are more general in use with high weather resistance, breathability and durability. So, it's horses for courses really, Gamma for all round outdoor use and Sigma for techy climbing. Thanks for watching. Paul.

    Hello, first I must say I really like your reviews! Nice job, very well done. I also wanted to ask you what are the differences between the Gamma and the Sigma series? I'm thinking of buying the Arcteryx pants but I don't understand as I wish the differences between models: Gamma AR, Gamma LT, Sigma AR, Sigma LT... I actually might be buying one pair for winter and one for summer/spring/autum... Thx in advance :)

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  3 года назад +1

      Hi Marcin. I agree that the Arcteryx naming system can get a little confusing. Check out the official site here - arcteryx.com/us/en/help/arc-naming
      Your choice will be determined by your end use rather than by the season. You may be mountaineering in spring/summer and need a super tough pair of trousers, and you may be walking in autumn/winter and just need a lightweight comfy pair. Probably the most versatile family of products is the Gamma range. I hope this helps. Paul.

    What is the best midlayers for trail running? I have a 100miles this march. They say thw weather will go down to 40-45 Fdegrees

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  3 года назад +1

      There aren't necessarily best layers, it all depends on how warm you are, which fits you best, whether you get a drop bag, etc. This is what Hannah (our resident runner) suggests: "It's worth putting a more insulated layer in there, like an atom SL - in the night you'll be moving slower and it'll be colder. Remember to keep extremities warm - head, feet, hands - otherwise you'll still feel cold no matter what layer you have on. During the day, something breathable and moisture-wicking - I propose a very thin fleece, like the Mountain Equipment eclipse with a softshell like the Rab Borealis over the top - they pack down small if you need to take them off."

      Paul has pretty long legs and from what I remember, the Sigma Pants were only available in S,M,L,XL, etc. No long leg.
