Aalya Ashraf I wear an old Fedora I bought at a junk store all the time in the fall/winter.It's my work hat. When I feel like it I can choose between a 6inch brim cowboy hat a black flat crown Stetson or a brown derby! Not to mention a couple dozen different seed company gimme ball caps!Friggin love hats! Oh yeah am making a molded leather Viking Helmut complete with buffalo !horns
If you ever read this, you can wear those hats today! There's a ton of like-minded men and women that love old fashioned or vintage wear like myself and wear it all the time in efforts to "bring it back". But even if you don't have that goal, just thrift a coat and attire that was used in those times and get your hat! Just make sure your attire matches your desired era so you don't look like you're wearing a costume. Nobody can tell you how to dress, if you're not hurting yourself or anyone else wear what you want to wear.
Greetings to all, and thank you for the responses, First off, both of Moraea's (the female model, pronounced Mo-Ray-Ah) eyebrows were done each time eras were changed, so the lighting must have affected one brow visually to look like it wasn't filled in; trust me it was! I brought many hats for Jake Miller (male model) to wear but we settled on hats that coordinated well with each other so the two looked like a couple. We had multiple looks for each era and went with some things you might not have seen before. I agree with the suggestion of the bucket hat, Von Dutch, but we ultimately had to chose only one. With the 1980's look men didn't wear a lot of hats then, so we played with Jake's hair with visions of Billy Idol, A Flock of Seagulls, and eventually threw in the "Boy" hat, which was sort of Culture Club, Wham, and A Frankie Goes to Hollywood homage all in one. I'm happy to answer any questions people have? Cheers, Jeffrey Jenkins
Why does everyone get the 1900s and 1910s mixed up? It's both Edwardian but 1910s are more lax and basically a transition to the 1920s. So the Gibson Girl look as well as Art Nouveau belongs to the 1900s only. Basically the 1910s is 1900s' ugly sister, or that awkward growing out phase when you get a haircut (1900s) but then it grows out amazing (1920s).
I agree with you. It's also a huge pet peeve of mine. The 1900's and 1910's had very different fashions and different parts of those decades had different styles as well. The early 1910's had hobble skirts and peg top dresses. The late 1910's had the war crinoline. I personally really like 1910's fashion.
mastersnet18 Right?! And I hate how everyone credits Chanel and the 1920s for the hemline's rise above the ankles and the freedom from the corset when Paul Poiret made that happen in the 1910s. Poor 1910s, always overshadowed.
+Marvin Lee yea poor 1910's lol. Even in books about the 20th century the first two decades are often lumped together or the 1900's will be talked about and the 1910's skipped altogether as if nothing important happened. And if I see someone put the Gibson girl for the 1910's one more time I will scream.
Ok at least SHOW the hats still for more than 1 second lol -.- Either the models are moving or it just flashed by so quickly. There was more time showing them prepare to put on the hat than actually wearing it.
I like 1910 and 1940 it was so classic and elegant at the same time ... I wish I was in this beautiful and elegant time 😥 ... love it so much 😍🔥
those old 1910s,20s hats..love those..wish we could wear them today

@@TheLegend-gj6bw amen to that
I absolutely adore the 1920s women's hat! :D
WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER EYEBROWS?
+Hadar Pohl i think they forgot to fill in the right one.
+Hadar Pohl to me, it looks like it's the lighting. When she moves her head around, the eyebrows look the same.
I think it's the light, cuz when she moved her head the eyebrow looked better.
***** OMG I can't believe you replied!! ILY!!
+Mode makes sense
1910-1950 all looks great, but that hat from 1940 +-+
agreed!
Nailed it with the 90s hat for the girl. I had a hat like that with a single big blossom on the front.
i love the fact that after every makeover they look at each other aww
Jesus Christ they're so good looking.
I'm a potato. I'm an actual potato. Chop me up and fry me, I'm such a potato.

Ok at least SHOW the hats still for more than 1 second lol -.- Either the models are moving or it just flashed by so quickly. There was more time showing them prepare to put on the hat than actually wearing it.
Also, who did the music for the 60s and 80s? Please let me know!
1960s girl 😍 the hair is gorgeous! I'm making my hair look like that this weekend 💁🏼
You guys are an amazing team! Thank you for the videos :)
I think the 60's fashion is the best!
For 2010s only one of the girl's eyebrows was drawn in
For more than one style afterwards. Look closely.
it was like that for the whole video
I know I saw that to
it's the lighting take a look at 1:47 you'll know
more like all of them.
the earlier times were more lady like.. I like the 1910 the most
I love how accurate this video is
Yes. Unlike Allure's "100 years" videos, which are completely inaccurate.
they both are such gorgeous people
OHMYGOSH that little heart at the end!!
You guys were so spot on in this video! Well done
1980! I love this video, thanks!
I LOVE hats in 1910 and 1920❤️
Great video. My favourite is the 10' for women and 40' for men. Romantic - and charming.
omg the nostalgia of the blossom and straw cowboy hats
Baseball cap with embroidered icon should be included haha
Their called SnapBacks
+TBBT Lover snapbacks aren't specific enough hahah their bill is flat and crown is so much taller than the one I'm talking about.
Oh I remember what is called. It's dad hat
Kar Yen What they call a "trucker "hat, which is actually just a summer mesh hat, should have been the hat for the 70's/80s!
1910's and 1940's hats were good af tbh, get me those
I like how they look at each other
10's, 20's, 30's, 40's ...I absolutely love theese clothes
You should do 100 years of prom dresses and cheerleader outfits! :)
Whats up with her eyebrows lol
uneven lighting made her eyebrows weird
+Eri De Gago Dude that's not lighting. that makeup artist only touched one eyebrow lol
+ImADeceptiKhan no at 1:47 you can see that is just the lighting
I noticed that, too. Looked a little off. Pretty girl, though.
love the lip color of 1930s look !!!
1910, 1930, 1940, 1950 in love!
Those vintage hats look so pretty and elegant then these modern hats I love those. Wish I was born in that era
1970,2000 and 2010 is my favorite hat style :D

30s and 40s were my faves of the women's and mens
60s & 70s are my favorites
LOVE THE 1920S !!
1910😍 so pretty!
For the girl, 1910, 1940 and 1950 are amazing!
The 1980's hat is almost like my hat, but I wear a 2000's hat, even though I born in the Late 1990's and Early 2000's in November 27th, 1999! :D
1970s, 2000s and 2010s r my favourite 😊
Favourites*
Loved the 30's and 40's
The girl is so pretty

ɴᴏ ᴏɴᴇ ɴᴏᴡ ᴄᴀʀᴇs ᴏɴ ᴛʜɪs ᴇʀᴀ ᴇᴠᴇɴ ɪᴠᴇ ʙᴇᴇɴ ʙᴏʀɴᴇᴅ ᴏɴ ᴛʜɪs ᴇʀᴀ 😕😕😕
cute video! I loved the 20s and 30s
My God..what a beautiful and charming couple! They reminds me the late couple Layne Stanley and Demri Parrott, from Alice in Chains.
I like the 1900-1950 very much♡
love the 40s hats
1920's are my favourite because of my love for the matelot or boater
the 1910s look so beautiful
the female model looked so beautiful in every hat like what teach me your ways
Her skin must hurt so much after putting makeup and taking it off so many times.
It can be a bit painful, but she is young and young skin is elastic.
+Emma Im young too and I've done it that's why I'm saying it.
and also on her hair
you sound like an old granny
+Hans Zandt why?
OMG I owned that black velvet hat with the pink flower from the 90's
2000 ❤
She is so beautiful
all of the are awesome ... i want them
digging the 60s and 70s
1910-1920 is my favourite
The male model is gorgeous!
They make up a such cute couple
I love beanies (and those Fedora type hats other girls wear (including me)), so I would say now.
2000s should have had Von Dutch trucker hats
THEY ACTUALLY GOT THE VICTORY ROLLS RIGHT FOR ONCE!!!
my fav is 1920's!
Mode should do 100 years of shoes!!!
my opinion. ... I LOVE HAT'S!
Do a 100 years of kid(13)
Today on: the girl looks stunning in every year but the man looks either ridiculous or the same for 40 years
He's hot as hell tho
Homme 1920 j'aime trop 😂😍❤️
The 1980s was such a creative abd energetic era...
20s hats for the win.
That is one beautiful man. Sheesh.
