Sorry I have to move on can't stand watching firefighters fumbling around for 3 minutes trying to get SCBA/masked up and never ever do a quick interior search to see if anyone is laying inside the front door. Come on guys get water on the fire and quit standing around!
That was a bit too long to don the gear. Especially a working incident. My department we were ready the moment we stepped off the engine if we saw a header or got confirmation of a working fire prior to arrival
Why first do engine did not lay out ? Second, why is the engineer running hose to the front door? You should be establishing water supply ? Florida only run three firefighters on an engine. Welcome to Florida.
Your first question, that is just the procedures that the department does, first due locates a hydrant and starts attack while 2nd due grabs the hydrant and lays in. Captain and nozzle had to finish bunking out so the engineer took it among herself to lay out lines so it wasn’t an extra step for them. The reason we run 3 is cause there is no reason for 4, Captain assumes irons while FF is nozzle and engineer is on the pump . . . We also have a truck company and 2 extra engines that are enroute on top of a working fire response.
@@HCemergencybuff I understand that every department is different. But when I was a volunteer firefighter for Prince Georges County, we never pass up a hydrant. You always lay out and have second pick it up. And if it was an alleyway, second do engine would go through the alley.
@@smiley1914 I'm not sure about your departments stats but at this time we had around 25 or so stations with plenty of recourses near by. The second due engine is a minute behind the first due, there is no need for the first due to waste time grabbing a hydrant when there is a working fire and the next due engine is less then a minute away and can easily pick up the hydrant saving precious time for fire attack.
Legend has it that stuck horn is still blaring 11 years later.
Amazing video! You have a new subscriber
Hopefully they have done a few SCBA drills since 2013
Unreal ! Nothing against the person videoing the fire...great job videoing just hate yall had to see this sub-level of firefighting!

Never heard a horn stuck like that 😮
WHATS THIS BUTTON DO ? OH DAMN ! NOT THAT BUTTON ! "UGG" ! GREAT SAFE JOB ON THE VIDEO ! I AM IN ! 🇺🇲
Damn, never heard evac tones go on that long! Also, that was quite a storm! Did a lightning strike cause the fire?
They attempted the 3 honks but the horn pedal got stuck, that's why it was so long 😂
And yes lightning did cause the fire

What's the deal with the extremely long evacuation tones, was the horn supposed to be that long? I hope no one got hurt,
Horn pedal got stuck when they were trying to do the evac tones.

Wow fumbling with gear at the door they're afraid

A million dollar piece of equipment, and a stuck horn ruins it all 😄
To me that is a faulty air horn switch
