Based on reports, I read that was an extreme fire to manage with wind and other variables to work around. Loss of equipment and damaged trucks is bad, but everyone stayed safe for another day. Good work by all the companies that responded.
As someone who is a firefighter in SW PA. there are using that pond or Creek as water supply thus why there so far away from the fire it happens a lot in rural communities where there is no fire hydrants and tanker operations have not started yet or are not practical
@@christianesh5177 well I imagine he didn’t get a seal at all, and it dosent matter. That man with this beard would cost any real dep tens of thousands of dollars in fines if he got cought anywhere on that fire ground with a pack on
@@christianesh5177 then none of you are real FFs. I don’t care bout you vollys that see 1 fire a year. It’s a quick google search. You are not allowed to have a beard being a certified FF.

What was the cause of the fire, what started it?
This is an outstanding video and photos 👍🏻👍🏻. The size of the fire was terrifying. Excellent work to all participants!
It’s been a while, glad to see some content!

If anyone has any questions as to why they parked so far away and did things the way they did. Just read the description....
Salve from Pernambuco Brazil
Was this the fire in the Buck i heard about
Yes it was
Did you get promoted and changed cam position or just changed cam position?
Where the fire hydrant at in this situation.
Also... odd water supply laying...
Engine 502 probably stopped way down the road to set up a draft site. In which case it was the best they could do at the time.
whoa FUCKING huge smoke cloud
I aint no firefighters so correct me if I am wrong but why did they put the fire truck half a mile from the fire?
Your question was answered 5 seconds into the video

Why did the truck have to park so far away that you had to add hose on to the pre connect?

Bringing hand lines to that inferno is like bringing a BB gun to a gunfight.
Parking an engine a block way...clueless.
you do realize the draft line is way shorter than a hose right?
Drafting and relay pumping
They’re a relay pumper from the drafting site. Guessing you don’t know much about drafting.
It also called power lines that were compromised to where they couldn’t bring the trucks closer so

Were they spraying the lime green Engine Tanker down do to heat or did it just look like it on video?
Looks like they were hitting towards the passenger side due to heat from the fire
