Sovereigns are assessed for value by size alone. Like coins of the ancient world. I love shield sovs too.
Not sure about the colour, looks more copper than gold.
yeah that how its suppose to look cause alloyed with copper 10%

The old sovs had silver mixed in with copper and we're more yellow

@@AY-vi2ld I believe most of the Australian soveriegn where alloyed with silver and have a more brilliant appearance, in part due to the fact that it was probably not worth the effort to take the silver out of the gold. Not sure how they work with taxes tho.

Imagine putting your hard earned dough forward to what you thought was a beautiful "gold" coin......only to get red gold. This happened to me some time ago, I returned it.

Sovereigns are still beautiful. I like looking at them mixed with 9999 gold coins and it creates a great color.

Yes I hate the rose gold colour as well. Its the only thing that stopped me from getting this coin.
@@CR-ng5cl Get a sovereign and if you hate it, I'll be surprised. The timelessness of the coin is great. It's still .2354 ounces of gold.
