How long did it take to find a buyer for this master piece
This is beautiful. Is the price quoted in Ausd or USD? Even in USD it seems like a steal. Does the Perth Mint do anything similar with kookaburras? That’s the coin I have fallen in love with.
The price quoted in the video is in AUD, but past year versions of these I think you'd struggle to find for that price now! Sadly not on the kookaburra front, they do a 2oz kookaburra with their proof coins, and a small 1/10th in their bullion coins, but no 1kg kookaburra! Would be a stunning addition.

It's now worth more in gold weight than the lucky buyer paid for it. Sure it's someone's pride and joy (or just one of a jumble of super exclusive collector coins they own and have put away in storage, more likely at that price point). Anyway, Matt was right, it was a bargain.
