Really sucks that you are having to deal with motor issues. Bright side is you can fix it when you want to versus a catastrophic failure that comes out of the blue. Keep us posted on what the issue is.

Ported oil pump, oil psi was never a problem.

This sucks sorry to hear check for any bent pushrods check pushrods for proper length I had too long ones in mine and it sounded like a loud ass sewing machine the heads I got were milled once I had the right length pushrods it did quite down some but the LS valve train is known to make some noise
As for your lifters you probably have worn-out lifter trays. Have the heads pulled check the trays for to much play lifters should fit tight only move up and down no side to side or twist at all check lifters and camshaft for damage sounds like alot but hopefully you won't have to rebuild the motor just new lifters, trays maybe camshaft if you got some time I sent you a vid about the worn lifters and trays. ruclips.net/video/cIq2xxu79NA/видео.html

Thanks for the advice! I saw that video... too bad it was after I did the heads and lifters. Pushrods should be good they're hardened.. but I'll still have them checked.
