This is definitely a bit of a sad one for me. This past years H2O was the final year I will be attending. The event as a whole has become a complete sh*tshow. OCPD has completely gone over the top to shut basically everything down, after all these years they finally figured it out. The burnouts and strip shenanigans' were 99% stopped. It isn't even fun to drive up and down the strip anymore because you sit in gridlock traffic for hours, and OCPD re-routes you outside of the strip, miles out, to just have you turn back around to come back into the strip, to just sit in more traffic. On the opposite end of the coin though, most people I see there now aren't even car enthusiasts. They are just there to simply wreak havoc, instigate, and essentially ruin the fun of H2O. Between all of that, and this being the 6th year in a row shooting a video for this event, it's time to move on. I seriously can't thank all of you enough who have supported myself and these videos throughout the years. THANKYOU

I’m right there with u bro. We’re not going any longer either. It used to be the ultimate car show (mainly VW’s and Audi’s years ago) and now it’s filled with people who aren’t even car enthusiasts and are there just to trash this beautiful city. We hope to find another event that will take its place and be a bit like h2oi was like a decade ago.

i remember h20i 2010, 2011, 2012, when it wasn't all 'stance' and silliness, when people brought real builds and kept it civil. This video further validates that those times are over and the h20i i remember, is very far gone.
Damn yeah man ... my first event was h20i 2008 it was so damn worth it to come it was weekend in the life of car heads man cools volkswagens and other machines but things have turned . I live here and been targeted just because of the car. Like damn man I can tell y’all it’s the locals especially the ones with pull here .. and the cops .. when they have there good ol boy American muscle care shit not saying that muscle cars are junk not at all but when they do have the event them cats are free to do whatever. Mostly American flag waving old ass bob barker sneaker wearing type dudes

Great video man! I havent been to H20i in like 2 years. Last time i was there, i was cruising around and i got 5 tickets w/ an impound. My most expensive weekend to this day (excessive camber, unsafe suspension, modified exhaust, stretched tires and obstruction of view (sticker on the front windshield)) over $500 w/ impound fees. The cop literally had a guage to measure the height, tint profile and camber on my car SMH! Thank God i have a good traffic lawyer!! I even had to sue the tow company for damaging my wheel; i was mad tight!!
So sad OC decided to lash out at us, we're a huge part of that city's revenue (gas, food, hotels and BEEEERRRR). I BET they will miss us when the event is officially moved. I will never return there.

I don't understand why H2o keeps having these events in Ocean City. It obvious the city doesn't want our revenues. Orlando, H2o needs to happen in the O town. Orlando has a SICK JDM scene. Clubs by the hundreds, venues that promote the lifestyle and welcome the culture. Law enforcement that is culture friendly and actually come to meets and show off their own muscle patrol cars. Pop up meets everywhere and every weekend. Orlando H2o, the new place for all that is JDM.

I have heard so many stories about OCPD issuing tickets for any imaginable 'equipment violation' at this event every year. People say they are trying to get it banned or cancelled there.

Although I have zero interest in attending h2o (just.... Too much. Too much youthful bro energy lol) it's pretty shortsighted of OCPD to be handing out tickets and impounding for such miniscule details, which I'm sure they'll realize when h2o moves to another city and OC suddenly no longer has MASSIVE yearly influx of cash. As a city, they'd be far better giving tickets to people who are actually speeding/racing/etc and letting those who have come to have a good time and spend money on food and hotels continue to do so. Really bad logic.
"Really bad logic"... you clearly aren't a local. Ocean City, MD is LOSING revenue because of H2O. Citizens who live in the area have been begging for something to be done about it because it is driving the reliable customers out of the city. Businesses are moving North to Rehoboth and Bethany. You wouldn't understand how violent it truly is, especially because as you said "you have zero interest in attending". In fact, you actually hint it is too violent. I've seen stabbings, fist fights, arrests, explosions, crime scenes, robberies, fatal accidents, and bullet holes. The tickets and impounding are calculated.

I'm so glad I knew h2o during the mid 2000's when it was legit. Car show at the horse track, strip cruising without fear of the cops. Those were the real h2o days.
