The tip about the clothes you wear at the gym is SPOT ON. I don't know why more people aren't talking about it. It's a ritual, you get into it, you feel good in your new leggings and your new crop top so you are ready to be a badass and get that workout done. Whenever I get new gym clothes, I cannot wait to get to the gym and work out
I just went back to the gym for the first time in about 6 weeks. I think I was burnout and I had to stop and figure a new way to do things in every aspect of my life. I feel sooooo much better and, dare I say, motivated now. It's a marathon, not a sprint. This is for lifelong health. Good luck my girls ❤
Timestamps for those who care for them aha (: 1:31 1) Have a program. It’s important if you want to see results. Krissy explains what a good program consists of. 5:25 2) Do it for yourself. Motivation alone is not enough - what is your reason? Krissy gives some harsh love here but gives us a realistic explanation. 7:44 3) Start tracking your weights. You need to push yourself and don’t get comfortable. Progressive overload is key but don’t compromise your form. 9:32 4) Look good = feel good. Life is about joy, enjoy going to the gym. Create a gym ritual. Wear what you want to wear. This is one of the reasons she’s created Oner Active 😊 celebrate your body and its ability to move! 11:34 5) REST! You will not lose progress by resting. Rest when you are sick, burnt out, really unmotivated etc. the Evolve app provides a week of rest to reset. Krissy explains the benefits of this. ✨
THIS. THIS. THIS. THIS is the reason why I follow you and trust you so much. There is so much rubbish out there promoting quick results and it only makes us feel terrible when we follow it fully and don't see it! I love you big sis!
After 6 years of this journey, sometimes fitness can feel like a chore. This video is super helpful to remind me of the foundations and those mental health tips are awesome! Thanks Love!
#4 is so true! When I first started working out 10 years ago, my first gym session was wearing some old clothes I don't care about to the gym and I wasn't that motivated....and then I started looking for active wear instead of wearing old tees. Wearing a cute workout outfit everyday makes me excited for my gym sessions. Oner is now one of fave active brands! Your stuff is so cute!
I agree with the looking good in the gym. I went out and bought all these gym clothes aimed for women and one day I saw a woman wearing a sports bra and jogging bottoms and realised I hadn't even really thought about what I wanted to wear, I just bought what was marketed for me. I'm still down for my tight clothes but i think I'll treat them more like going out active wear. In the gym I want to focus on what I'm doing but squatting in tight clothes made me feel like my crack was always on show so I'd squat with my back facing the wall. 😅 It's crazy how we just do things without thinking about how we truly feel about them. So totally revamping my gym clothes! 🎉
I always look forward to your uploads. Your advice is by far the most realistic, and it has helped me gain confidence in the gym, but most importantly fix my form!
All you have said is so true, do everything for yourself , happiness is important , wear what you feel comfortable n confident in gym, anything you do must not be a chore . Thank you Kristy ❤
9:30 backed by science! I only recently started going to the gym but I've done team sports my whole life and I remember this one coach I had who was always telling us about a study that found athletes who felt they were looking good during their sports performance also demonstrably performed better.
Krissy, this is one of my favourite videos you’ve ever uploaded. It felt so genuine and I couldn’t agree more with everything you said. I’m getting back into training after a YEAR of inconsistency (very much involuntary) and I really learnt what it feels like to miss the gym. Lots of love to you x
Krissy, I really appreciated everything you have said in this vid! Especially how transparent and honest you are about your growth which frees up others like myself to simply enjoy the process ❤ and I totally agree about those “rituals” as they’ve helped me stay consistent in my working out. Lastly, the OnerActive wear has truly helped me feel confident and powerful in the gym! 💕
Thank you Krissy!! You have always been an inspiration to me. Years ago I came across your videos and still follow you till this day. Bless you for everything you do to help us stay healthy and be our best. Love ya!
The oneractive wear is an excellent wear for gym, it’s like gym comfort first and style on top. I have searched for this for the longest time and now it’s finally here, thank you Krissy!!! ❤
Tip #4 is legit though! I thrive at the gym when i put on my cute little gym clothes and even the other day i was feeling pretty meh so i did my nails and did a fake tan lol and just simply felt amazing!! I definitely want to love myself as I am...and I do! But after a couple of mini glow ups i prance around feeling amazing >

I’ve been thinking of starting a program and going to the gym soon. So glad I found your channel around this time. This is a perfect video for me! Thank you 🤍
I love how honest you are about growth & recognizing it in yourself , your mindset , etc. I feel like not many people talk about this or are comfortable admitting their mindset has shifted & they're evolving . These tips are essential !! Approaching week 3 of the Redefined program & BABE this is a banger 🧡🔥 Love you always xx
Krissy I love your 5 tips! It's so true, I think when we are truly enjoying something either going to gym or work it's easier to make a routine out of it. There are days when motivation hits rock bottom but like you said its time to rest, let your body heal and get energy for new challenges. I love your videos. Huge greetings from Netherlands ❤🥰 thank you for sharing your tips & knowledge
I almost didn’t click on this video because I gave up the gym and workout from home now… I’m so happy I saw this!!! Thank you for making this video. I am determined to age strong and make sure my daughter follows my footsteps 😩🙌
Krissy, I just love you! Thank you so much for your content. I feel like I found a gym sis back in 2021 and it’s beautiful to see you growing and evolving and sharing your experience with your loving audience! Sending you love from Ukraine
Speaking as someone who also has a chronic illness, I fully understand the rest part ❤ Theres an expression a doctor said me which is resting is not lazy; its medicine. Love this video xx
I have been following you for 3 years now, and it’s lovely to see how much you have grown and has helped me also with the same. Thank you for these videos!
Thank you Krissy. I would really love to see content regarding how to prevent injury. I think a great tip and time to rest is also when you feel you might be getting close to injury. I think this is an important aspect I rarely notice influencers speak about. Would love to hear it from you. 😊
After Ramadan and Eid i was prepping a quick routine for going back to the gym tomorrow morning before work to save on time, but half way through this video and the segment about the program, and after following you for quite some time, i had to join evolve you (which I didn’t know was so affordable??wow) then came back to continue the vid 😂😂 i just trust you insanely and the way you deliver info is amazing thank you!
Krissy! I’m on the evolve you app and I love it. One suggestion I think would be really nice to have is being able to trigger a deload week when we desire to! I appreciate you programming them, but I think it would be better if we could plug them in where we need them in our lives. Thanks for everything - btw this video was 🔥
You always know what to say Krissy! Just finished Maddys mad program !! Loved it And so ready to try your new program I love the community you’ve created 💖
Thank you Krissy for being there in my fitness journey! You’ve helped me a lot reassessing my goals and remembering that I’m doing well even though life has been hitting lately! Don’t understand why you experience such hate these times when you’re just truly trying to find happiness! We’ll always have your back ❤️ Ps : my goal is now to wear an oneractive singlet on my first national competition of Olympic Weightlifting! I’m manifesting 🙏🏾🙏🏾
I love this. It aligns so perfectly with what I’ve learned to tell myself about going to the gym! It really is a lifestyle change. It’s easier said than done, but it’s possible. These tips are what have kept me going for about two years now and I don’t plan on stopping. 👏🏼
Just hired a personal trainer for the first time in my life! She's going to make a program specifically for my goals. I am sooooo excited! Starting this Thursday! ❤
Krissy is always the best! Yes that last tip is so helpful. I just took 4 months off from the gym because it felt like chore and I dreaded going. I just played around with yoga, Pilates, spin, F45. And now I miss the gym and started with Danyele’s power strength this week! So excited ❤🎉
Deload is a god send! 🙌🏻 especially that time of the month, that week when you just feel soooo down & feeling bad because you haven’t been to the gym. Absolutely amazing 😊
This was really good to hear from someone else, I say it all the time but we definitely need big sis reminding us ;). And thank you for your vulnerable moments, I just started watching your videos and that is a huge part of why I like you, you give us all of you so thank u Krissy!
Getting serious now about going to the gym and I've started watching your videos! You're so helpful and informative! Thank you so much! Can't wait to see my progress ❤😊😊
Krissy you are my role model! From the gym to lifestyle to business I admire you! I’m only 16 starting my fitness journey, but i love your videos because you preach sustainability! Your videos are helping the fitness community become a more welcoming and uplifting space! 🤍💪
TBH Tip #4 is something that I totally neglect EVEN THOUGH looking back, I always am in a better mood when I like what I'm wearing.. I like the idea of putting more effort into getting ready for the gym. I usually just rock up to the gym in work clothes, throw whatever clothes I hastily grabbed that morning and get straight to it.... and it feels like the BIGGEST chore. 2024, I'm going to be more intentional with my gym outfits lol.
When Krissy confirms she's your big sis 😭💙 thank you Krissy I am excited to change things up this year in the gym! Thank you so much for all the knowledge that you share and the encouragement 🔥 Much love from AZ
Do not underestimate the tip about looking good at the gym! I've been picking up a few new pieces and it gets me so excited to go work out and wear them. Sounds like such a simple thing but it changes your entire mindset!
As someone who reintroduced weight training into my life after 20yrs of relatively a sedentary lifestyle, I have stuck with 2x/week with my trainer since 2021. My progress has been slow but steady and I do take breaks without feeling guilty. I’m 65 and was a “skinny fat” person who has gone from 19% body fat to 7% over that time. I have upped my protein intake from approximately 40gms daily to 100-125gms daily. I am working on increasing that to 150gms but it’s been a process. My biggest accomplishment is going from carrying 8.6lbs of fat on my trunk to 0.2lbs of fat in my trunk! I love how my body has changed and how it now feels! I’m in better condition now than when I was seriously training in my 20s! A lot has to do with better food choices, too!
When this said tips for gym girls, i thought it was gonna be tips about hair was routines. These tips are soo so important for EVERYONE, men and women!
Omg I’m glad I watched this video. I’m currently on a deload week. 😩 I’ve been pretty consistent for almost 2 years. But currently going through it mentally. So I decided to just take time off. I’ve downloaded your app and I’m going to be joining when I’m ready to get back into working out.
I got sick so couldn't go to the gym for over a week. I finally went today and yes I was excited to get back. I'm starting week 7 in the Strong program. So far I am loving it and I am feeling strong. I was worried I lost my momentum but I learned to reframe my thinking. This video was so helpful for me. Thank you for reminding us that it's okay to take a break!💪💕
Deload weeks are sooo important! I'm still learning the balance of working and resting (this is tougher in my case). Krissy by the way I NEED to tell you that I love your Projcet Abs Challenge. Now I'm doing it for the third time and each time it feels a bit different but always worth the effort!
i’m ngl i used to be SOOO into the gym and then after COVID i fell off so now im finally trying to go back and keep it into my routine but i get so anxious about if im doing the workout correctly and how i look and idk why because i feel like i knew all the knowledge before
Thank U so much for this video. I'm even shy to say that but I had a break from the gym for half a year because of some situations which demotivated me to continue. Today, I decided to work out a bit at home and I realized it's making me feel better mentally and also physically... no matter the conditions I should keep goin and ur video helped me to understand my passion - thank U ❤️😙
I absolutely adore you, Krissy! I recently discovered you last year and your videos have helped me want to get back into the gym and work on my health and fitness for myself. 💗 You are so genuine and I appreciate every video, tip, advice and update you give us! 💗 Im going strong at 3 months at the gym now 💪 Is your app available in the US?
❤ actually i'm with doing everything for myself not to show others how do i look, and that i'm strong and gorgeous by wearing a cute outfit or my favorites gym clothes . I do workout to see myself stonger and stronger over the time and to feel confident on myself , protect myself without anyone's help, that's my thoughts as a Muslim girl who is wearing hijab and covering my body, if we Wear tight clothes in the gym to make others look at you to feel good that's not good, our bodies aren't supposed to be judged by someone, all girls and women are attractive the they are . We should remember that people see us the we see ourselves and the way we treat our bodies. Finally i wanna say thank you so much for your efforts and for making us know new things and learn from your experience ❤❤❤❤. Love you from Morocco ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Excellent advice for not just girls in the gym but those girls that might eventually become trainers themselves! I’m hoping Krissy will consider creating a trainers support community that can use her app to help others that need a more personal approach…❤❤❤ love the hard work and pure thought she’s put into her training philosophy. We need more of this! 👏 👏 👏
I was a heavy trainer from 14-18. Until I got diagnosed with SVT. I’ve not gone back for 3 years , I thought I’d know what I was doing when I got back to the gym, but I have no idea what I’m doing.
This comes at a perfect time, i've started to read your book again as a kind of reset for the new year, so these tips are fantastic too! I also just had covid and have been out for 2 weeks, and going back into it slowly, as I'm getting fatigued quite easily, it can be frustrating but I'm learning to listen to my body. Thanks sis 😘
How do you continue to make progress during your menstrual cycle? Because I notice on the couple weeks leading up to my period that I don’t have as much energy and therefore the weight i’m able to lift is less and my body isn’t wanting me to push hard.
The tip about the clothes you wear at the gym is SPOT ON. I don't know why more people aren't talking about it. I had my first run in weeks, lost my baby 20 year old cat ❤....gonna turn to fitness and get me back. 💪🤜🏃♀️

TBH Tip #4 is something that I totally neglect EVEN THOUGH looking back, I always am in a better mood when I like what I'm wearing.. Thank U so much for this video. I'm even shy to say that but I had a break from the gym for half a year because of some situations which demotivated me to continue. Today, I decided to work out a bit at home and I realized it's making me feel better mentally and also physically... no matter the conditions I should keep goin and ur video helped me to understand my passion - thank U ❤️😙
absolutely adore your vulnerability 🤍
Tank you girl. You are a great person.keep up the good gym workout.go gym and girl.❤ ❤❤❤
I needed this pep talk babe. Thank you.
I absolutely adore you, Krissy! I recently discovered you last year and your videos have helped me want to get back into the gym and work on my health and fitness for myself. 💗 You are so genuine and I appreciate every video, tip, advice and update you give us! 💗
Im going strong at 3 months at the gym now 💪
Is your app available in the US?
Love you from Morocco ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
you're truly the best out there!

the quality of your content is so top tier at the moment krissy!! i LOVE❤
Loved this upload, its so realistic and down to earth. Thanks for this❤
Thank you so much for sharing these guidelines! Love how holistic you’re approaching the gym. Big fan of what you share with the world!
I was a heavy trainer from 14-18. Until I got diagnosed with SVT. I’ve not gone back for 3 years , I thought I’d know what I was doing when I got back to the gym, but I have no idea what I’m doing.
luv your transparency and like always keeping it real 💪💪💪
sure I will but sound like a scammer lol
sorry comment not to the real Krissy just the scammer lol
Love and really appreciate this. Currently on a new journey and really needed to hear this.
So genunie and well-said. Appreciate that you make this video!
Listen to your body, you'll get there ❤
How do you continue to make progress during your menstrual cycle? Because I notice on the couple weeks leading up to my period that I don’t have as much energy and therefore the weight i’m able to lift is less and my body isn’t wanting me to push hard.
Lipstick and lipliner are a must in the gym! Some people dont like it but it makes me feel great!😊
I am SOOOO glad i found your youtube!!
Best 15 minutes on the internet ❤
I am so happy be part of this community❤
I didn't take resting seriously and got burnt out. I went from having one rest day a week to 2 and sometimes 3. It helps tremendously
I LOVED THIS!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
