- Welcome back to my first video of 2024! Today I’m covering 5 tips every gym girls needs to know, weather you’re a beginner, if you’ve been going to the gym for a while, or just need a knowledge refresh, I hope this video can be helpful in some way 🤍

The tip about the clothes you wear at the gym is SPOT ON. I don't know why more people aren't talking about it. It's a ritual, you get into it, you feel good in your new leggings and your new crop top so you are ready to be a badass and get that workout done. Whenever I get new gym clothes, I cannot wait to get to the gym and work out

1:31 1) Have a program. It’s important if you want to see results. Krissy explains what a good program consists of.
5:25 2) Do it for yourself. Motivation alone is not enough - what is your reason? Krissy gives some harsh love here but gives us a realistic explanation.
7:44 3) Start tracking your weights. You need to push yourself and don’t get comfortable. Progressive overload is key but don’t compromise your form.
9:32 4) Look good = feel good. Life is about joy, enjoy going to the gym. Create a gym ritual. Wear what you want to wear. This is one of the reasons she’s created Oner Active 😊 celebrate your body and its ability to move!

I just went back to the gym for the first time in about 6 weeks. I think I was burnout and I had to stop and figure a new way to do things in every aspect of my life. I feel sooooo much better and, dare I say, motivated now. It's a marathon, not a sprint. This is for lifelong health. Good luck my girls ❤

I agree with the looking good in the gym. I went out and bought all these gym clothes aimed for women and one day I saw a woman wearing a sports bra and jogging bottoms and realised I hadn't even really thought about what I wanted to wear, I just bought what was marketed for me.
I'm still down for my tight clothes but i think I'll treat them more like going out active wear. In the gym I want to focus on what I'm doing but squatting in tight clothes made me feel like my crack was always on show so I'd squat with my back facing the wall. 😅
It's crazy how we just do things without thinking about how we truly feel about them. So totally revamping my gym clothes! 🎉
After 6 years of this journey, sometimes fitness can feel like a chore. This video is super helpful to remind me of the foundations and those mental health tips are awesome! Thanks Love!

#4 is so true! When I first started working out 10 years ago, my first gym session was wearing some old clothes I don't care about to the gym and I wasn't that motivated....and then I started looking for active wear instead of wearing old tees. Wearing a cute workout outfit everyday makes me excited for my gym sessions. Oner is now one of fave active brands! Your stuff is so cute!

Krissy I love your 5 tips! It's so true, I think when we are truly enjoying something either going to gym or work it's easier to make a routine out of it. There are days when motivation hits rock bottom but like you said its time to rest, let your body heal and get energy for new challenges. I love your videos. Krissy is always the best! Yes that last tip is so helpful. I just took 4 months off from the gym because it felt like chore and I dreaded going. I just played around with yoga, Pilates, spin, F45. And now I miss the gym and started with Danyele’s power strength this week! So excited ❤🎉

After Ramadan and Eid i was prepping a quick routine for going back to the gym tomorrow morning before work to save on time, but half way through this video and the segment about the program, and after following you for quite some time, i had to join evolve you (which I didn’t know was so affordable??wow) then came back to continue the vid 😂😂 i just trust you insanely and the way you deliver info is amazing thank you!

Thank you Krissy. I would really love to see content regarding how to prevent injury. I think a great tip and time to rest is also when you feel you might be getting close to injury. I think this is an important aspect I rarely notice influencers speak about.

Tip #4 is legit though! I thrive at the gym when i put on my cute little gym clothes and even the other day i was feeling pretty meh so i did my nails and did a fake tan lol and just simply felt amazing!! I definitely want to love myself as I am...and I do! But after a couple of mini glow ups i prance around feeling amazing >

Deload weeks are sooo important! I'm still learning the balance of working and resting (this is tougher in my case). Krissy by the way I NEED to tell you that I love your Projcet Abs Challenge. Now I'm doing it for the third time and each time it feels a bit different but always worth the effort!

I also just had covid and have been out for 2 weeks, and going back into it slowly, as I'm getting fatigued quite easily, it can be frustrating but I'm learning to listen to my body.

As someone who reintroduced weight training into my life after 20yrs of relatively a sedentary lifestyle, I have stuck with 2x/week with my trainer since 2021. My progress has been slow but steady and I do take breaks without feeling guilty. I’m 65 and was a “skinny fat” person who has gone from 19% body fat to 7% over that time. I have upped my protein intake from approximately 40gms daily to 100-125gms daily. I am working on increasing that to 150gms but it’s been a process. My biggest accomplishment is going from carrying 8.6lbs of fat on my trunk to 0.2lbs of fat in my trunk! I love how my body has changed and how it now feels! I’m in better condition now than when I was seriously training in my 20s! A lot has to do with better food choices, too!
I got sick so couldn't go to the gym for over a week. I finally went today and yes I was excited to get back. I'm starting week 7 in the Strong program. So far I am loving it and I am feeling strong. I was worried I lost my momentum but I learned to reframe my thinking. This video was so helpful for me. Thank you for reminding us that it's okay to take a break!💪💕

Do not underestimate the tip about looking good at the gym! I've been picking up a few new pieces and it gets me so excited to go work out and wear them. Sounds like such a simple thing but it changes your entire mindset!
