Went out book hunting with my mother yesterday as she went searching for a couple older and newer books she's been looking for. She found all of her. I located none of my list, but I did end up picking up two books at a gigantic used bookstore: a collection of HG Wells short stories and a book I picked up because it had a beautiful cover, a historical thriller called The Devil Aspect by Craig Russell. Never heard of it, but the book had blurbs from high profile authors and the first sentence announced that it took place in Autumn. Started reading it. So far, so good.
Sounds like a pretty good haul! HG Wells short collection sounds incredible! And finding a fall read with a beautiful cover sounds pretty good!

Have you read Elsewhere by Keanu Reeves and China Mieville?
"Elsewhere tells the story of an immortal, demigod-esque character, usually referred to as B, who sometimes slips into a superpowered killing rage outside of his control. On the rare occasions he “dies”, he simply comes back again, quickly reborn into his original form."
If you haven't, I think you should. Keanu Reeves has the comic he made called BRZRKR. This is the same world that the book Elsewhere is based in. I just read it a week or two ago. I REALLY ENJOYED IT.
