Things I like about the watch: 1. That color palette is beautiful. 2. Love the matte finish. 3. Doesn’t look like it’s trying to be a Rolex homage like the other Tudor GMTs. Things I don’t love: 1. A little too “military inspired” with the MN logos. Feels a bit like cosplaying/stolen valor to me. 2. Too big for my taste but I get the reason for the size. 3. Would prefer a dive time bezel with a 24 scale on the chapter ring. 4. I get the fixed lugs are the whole point of the watch but obviously really limits the versatility. Put this exact colorway in a Pelagos 39 with a dive bezel and it’s close to perfect.
Please Harrison, we need a comparison! 😅 Pelagos vs. Pelagos FXD vs. Pelagos GMT would rock. Help a fellow watch nerd to decide on a Christmas present 😊 Thank you
Picked up a AMZWATCH's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
Isn’t it slightly redundant to say it’s “both COSC and Metas certified”? Am I wrong in thinking that Metas is more stringent in every way, so being cosc certified adds nothing; ie, doesn’t every Metas certified watch already meet all the demands of being cosc certified?
You are 100% correct. Omega has continued to obtain COSC certification as an additional mark of Swiss chronometer quality. It may serve more as a legacy or marketing choice, reinforcing that the watch meets and surpasses both well-known standards.
I wasn't sure about this at first and a big part of that was the overly tan/cream-coloured bezel numerals, dial plots and hands (not a fan of Tudors over-use of gilt accents either). But having seen your images I agree that the tan is actually ''whiter' and goes well with the orange text and GMT hand. Love the strap colour, buckle and keeper too. I love the black FXD and was seriously considering getting one, but now? A trip to a Tudor AD is in order!
My first impression of the watch is that “I’m tired of another Fauxtina watch” but after a while and give some thought of it..I think it should be seen as military khaki camouflage style color way instead…in that sense, it works perfectly 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 suddenly it moves as probably the best contender for a tool-ish casual beater-style watch in my radar right now
No! No more white dials lol. All jokes aside,I really respect that you know what you like and pursue what you love regardless of the optics. Keep up the great content! I will still love your content even if you end up with the white dial equivalent of a watch collection with 12 black dial dive watches.
I love everything about this... except the fixed lugs. Give this a very nice Ti bracelet w/ macro-adj clasp and I'm in!! Make it w/a matt blue dial and even better!!
Are the hands as close to the crystal as on the standard FXD? I picked up the MN in '23 and finally realized I'm not a Nato guy especially when the blue Pelagos OG has such a fantastic bracelet, which I now own. If this dial bezel combo were on the Pelagos bracelet case I might find room for the black GMT and OG blue in my collection.
People will indeed get the 2024 version as I saw two in town yesterday in the shop windows along with the black and red chrono FXD. Times are changing??
To make it perfect for me, the dual would be dark green. I think that would stand out and be very unique in the Tudor lineup & For Pelagos. I like it but don’t need another black dial Pelagos.
I love the look of the watch just went to town today to try it on its a stunning watch perfect size for me but it’s really let down with the quality of the strap it’s a 10 quid strap on a very expensive watch in fairness the jeweller offered me another strap but I liked the look and colour of the strap but it is paper thin !
It just seems like it should’ve been 1mm smaller. Plus the lug height seem unnecessarily long as it’s pretty much the same as the BB Bronze at 52mm but is 1mm smaller in case size. Which essentially means you should have at least a 6.75-7in wrist for it to look decent. Lastly the watch is super busy. Not sure how I feel yet.
IDK I never can get down with a nato strap. They look good in pics/videos, but whenever I wear one I think it looks weird. Great review of a great watch. "as always" :)
I hit that subscribe button for you brother. as far as the watch goes, I think the 39 would have been a lot better as a gmt option than a FXD but I understand they did it for military and not so much an enjoyable consumer watch. I definitely don't like the strap, Bracelet or at least rubber for me and that's what always kept me anyway from a FXD and why I have the regular Pelagos and BB58, I'm not in military and don't need to pretend I am.
It's a military themed watch. The Tan isn'y to artificially age the watch. The Tan fits better with the earthy colorway and military green camo style. White would create too much of a contrast.
It is a keeper, so the strap end will be sticking out if it’s not there at all. Will have to see it in real life and hope it doesn’t have a massive stitch/seam once flipped over.
@@ChisholmHunterOfficial I love it being a aviation enthusiast and watch collector is a was no brainer the strap is great and comfy. One thing to note the strap will he a hybrid as I feel it's more for wearing on outside of the flight suits than under it but overall my second favourite release that goes to my FOIS
I love it … it’s the perfect GMT if you really used it to travel. I will definitely get it over any other GMT in today’s market (even over the Rolex GMT or explorer ii) I love the fully Lume bezel … finally it’s useful in low light conditions. Think about these night in your hotel room and can’t sleep cause of jet lag and want to know the time where you beloved ones are. Perfect GMT… I will definitely try to get a black rubber strap (like the Blue Marine FXD) and it will be perfect … or … even more, find a titanium bracelet with the interchangeable links 😂😊
Really like it buuttt....Its alot of money for a Tudor on a NATO strap. I often find a big part of a watches appeal for ME is a beautifully engineered bracelet. I dont mind it on a nato by any means just feel the price should reflect thst a little. Just saying. 👍🏼
I mean compared to the BB58 GMT, it’s basically the same price but with the Pelagos you give up the bracelet for the ceramic bezel and with the BB58 you give up the ceramic bezel for the bracelet. I’d be interested to see what price point Tudor would come in at for a 12.8mm thick GMT with a ceramic bezel and a bracelet. I’m guessing it would be something like $5,200
I’ve got a black one sat in the Argyll Arcade (collecting December) and was worried that this might be one I want more. But I don’t. The vintage tan vibe put me off I’m afraid…..
In 2025, we can expect Tudor to launch the Ultimate Crowd Pleaser Pelagos : 39 mm FXD case, full titanium, GMT, fauxtina all around, aluminum bezel insert, METAS certification, the whole shebang. Every possible niche in the $4000 dive watch will have be catered for.
The "logo" - Roundel of the French Fleet Air Arm, the aviation arm of the French Navy, makes you feel like you are in the ARMY? Really??!!🤣 haha good video though
I’m not a massive nato strap person. The strap under the watch irritates me. I would prefer a rubber strap. I’d also love to see a 39mm version. It does look great otherwise.
Why is the Tudor fxd black dive watch case back made of steel? Grade 5 titanium would have been fantastic. And where is the Metas cert? It cost more than this watch!
“If you have it on the NATO strap” It has fixed lugs….what are the options??? Great aesthetic, but I have zero interest in NATO straps. Zero interest in nylon woven straps. I have no need for fixed lugs.
Not a big fan of snowflake hands on the BB variants but they look good on the Pelagos with the square indices. I'd be all over this if it didn't have the fixed strap bars. I need a bracelet option. Maybe we will see a GMT version of the standard Pelagos at some point in the future.
"Everyone" wants the MN24 version of this for a year maybe, then it dies down just like the previous MN. Which now you can get second hand with great discount from retail that be MN21, 22 and so on. Nobody cares and nobody will care about this piece in a year. Like EVERY Tudor release. Still a great watch. Just dont board the hypetrain. No point.
I think we all get the deep relationship to the MN but being practical hopefully the FXD can be made in a regular civilian bracelet version someday. The long fixed lugs limiting it to only NATO straps is a huge turn off for the regular market. That being said I do think the Pelagos is the ultimate modern tool watch and the only Tudor worth your money. BB is way overrated.
Things I like about the watch:
1. That color palette is beautiful.
2. Love the matte finish.

Put this exact colorway in a Pelagos 39 with a dive bezel and it’s close to perfect.
The worst part is the single color 24 hr bezel. At-a-glance day night indication provided by a two tone bezel is an essential feature of a GMT watch.
That the tan is more muted in person is great.
Agreed. The orange is also more orange and less red than in the press photos. I really liked the press photos but it is even better in person.
Please Harrison, we need a comparison! 😅 Pelagos vs. Pelagos FXD vs. Pelagos GMT would rock. Help a fellow watch nerd to decide on a Christmas present 😊 Thank you
FXD is the ultimate tool watch! The GMT w/ date just makes it that much better
Absolutely 👍
Just saw this watch in the wild and had it on wrist. It is amazing and I’m going to get it when my AD makes it available.
Yes - definitely want to see the FXD comparison - Great Idea :)
My brain is going to beat me over my head until I get this watch.
An almost perfect watch, do anything go anywhere, time piece. The black dial being a military watch means less noticeable on the wrist. Love it.
On the wrist, a 84' 16800 Sub. I'm picking one up in a week. It will match my LHD very well.
Picked up a AMZWATCH's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
I think this watch is stunning 👍
Love this watch, well done Tudor! 👍
I OWN ONE.......I love the watch, the colors the size the weight perfection
Love Tudor and the fxd, a more busy bezel is growing on me
Thank you for sharing this video, please share an update after 6 months, hoping to know the fitting and if the hole of Nato strap is fraying.
Do a comparison with the bb58 GMT please
An admiralty grey nato from Phoenix would go fantastic with that.
I just went to pick up my FXD cycling and saw this GMT. It is at top of my list!!! I wish I could justify to take both 😢
The Tudor Coke is metas too. Let’s hope this FXD is more readily available than the latter (somehow I doubt it will relieve the pressure on the coke).
Cokes are selling far under retail on secondary market
@@dosprompt5418really? Where? How many are even on the secondary market?
is there a way to use this or the standard Pelagos FXD with elastic nylon strap? meaning it goes around the lug and not underneath the watch..
I think it should be fine and that’s exactly what I’m trying to do
Tudor are smashing it and my bank balance 😂!
Owning a special project's Peli & Alinghi chrono, this will now be my 3rd.

I love the watch, but I would like to see them taking this into the Pelagos, with the metal strap, etc./
Will absolutely get it but will add the black rubber strap from the FXD
They should have lumed the date wheel that way you wouldn't be missing the 3 pip

Question for anyone who owns a nato Tudor strap... does it get dirty / smelly over time?
I love everything about this... except the fixed lugs. Give this a very nice Ti bracelet w/ macro-adj clasp and I'm in!! Make it w/a matt blue dial and even better!!

I hate nato straps for the same reason you gave. How would I find a non nato strap that would work with the fixed lugs?
Nick Mankey designs.
People will indeed get the 2024 version as I saw two in town yesterday in the shop windows along with the black and red chrono FXD. Times are changing??
Can you compare it to the pelagos Lhd to the gmt?
It reminds me a lot of the Bremont Super Marine GMT diver
To make it perfect for me, the dual would be dark green. I think that would stand out and be very unique in the Tudor lineup & For Pelagos. I like it but don’t need another black dial Pelagos.
I hope they make a smaller version of this watch with more strap options. 40mm maybe 😁
I dont know why but i Love it 🖤
FXD GMT vs BB GMT vs BB58 GMT comparison video please
FXD GMT
How much does it weight ?
I'm waiting for the METAS BB Pro
I love the look of the watch just went to town today to try it on its a stunning watch perfect size for me but it’s really let down with the quality of the strap it’s a 10 quid strap on a very expensive watch in fairness the jeweller offered me another strap but I liked the look and colour of the strap but it is paper thin !
Go with the black rubber FXD …its way more comfortable and look way way better
Really like this one and a fantastic value proposition
So much watch at this price point!

How do you all use the NATO to minimize thickness?
Does the “Pelagos GMT” text color match the GMT hand or is it red? Great video as always!
Thanks mate and great question, i just had another look and it definitely matches!
Thanks for the quick response. Thanks again for keeping me entertained and informed by your awesome work!
Yes it does...picked one up today.
Number 9 on my ADs waitlist 😅! Good luck, everyone! Also, I love your channel; keep up the amazing content!
Thanks mate, appreciate that. Hopefully the Tudor arrives soon!
There's one on eBay UK right now for retail price ;-)
IDK I never can get down with a nato strap. They look good in pics/videos, but whenever I wear one I think it looks weird. Great review of a great watch. "as always" :)
This isn't a nato strap.
This watch really reminds me of the Omega NTTD honestly it’s beautiful!
At half the price !
Or the Bell&Ross vintage GMT
ive got original 2 liner pelagos, and dislike most newer versions. but this is stunning!
Looks stunning..
love this and the new black bay 58gmt don't know which one to get.
This one is more unique … BB58 too similar to many GMT’s out there
That first blue FXD is still king for me. I love GMT complication, but this rendition is a dud for me. Same for the 58 GMT (dud).
It’s the watch the right handed people have wanted since the pelagos Lhd was released
Lovely looking watch, but I think I can probably scratch the same itch with a Unimatic and save myself a few quid.
What would make it perfect is if it was a P39 gmt
Love my black FXD. 21st century mil spec Sub.
Put some screw bar lugs on it and I would consider it.
That what I love about Panerai, either screw bars or quick release bars, never break easy to change straps

I’d feel weird wearing the military logo on the keeper seeing I’m not associated with it. Looks a but childish.
I expect you could flip it over
You can remove that. I do think it’s a bit cringe so I’d definitely do that but otherwise this looks great
It is a keeper, so the strap end will be sticking out if it’s not there at all. Will have to see it in real life and hope it doesn’t have a massive stitch/seam once flipped over.
Then don’t wear it.
I’ll have to see it in real life to make up my mind and there are alternatives even for this strap, but thank you for stating the obvious.
Got lucky and picked mine up yesterday

Nope nope nope.
If I may, Nationale is not pronounced "nashional" but "nassional"
Great video Harrison! Cool watch. The phrase you were looking for is "minder loop" to hold the excess strap.
GMT is great. Canvas strap makes it look like a toy watch.
Then snag a Horween NATO strap for it.
The "logo" - Roundel of the French Fleet Air Arm, the aviation arm of the French Navy, makes you feel like you are in the ARMY? Really??!!🤣 haha good video though
Give me a removable bar version and take all my money.
I told you, it was made for you
FXD GMT or Rolex Explorer 2 ( black dail orange hand)?
Very good question … Im debating the same thing… I’m kind more into the Tudor path as I love (i really love) the fully lume bezel 🎉
And I when with the Tudor Pelagos GMT… if you see it … you know how wonderful GMT its
Still trying to see one in person. My local ADs haven't had any on hand during my random visits@impexRQ
The Tudor “carrot”.
You are still Harrison! As always
Love the watch but not the logo on the strap. Just cheapens the whole look of the watch.
You can remove it
I feel like the strap is a little too gimmicky and cosplay like. It would be cool if they offered an option without the logo
Or just buy another strap lol
It is truly grim, you can just slide it off though
All the strap moaning cracks me up. FXD means you are going to have a dozen different straps in your rotation.
La montre est magnifique mais dommage qu’elle soit en 42.
En 39 j’achetais tout de suite.
I’m not a massive nato strap person. The strap under the watch irritates me. I would prefer a rubber strap. I’d also love to see a 39mm version. It does look great otherwise.
Have you considered a bund?
I really like the looks. I would however much prefer the same looks on the 39mm pelagos on a bracelet.
Shocking QC. Tudor can't make faultless watch. Guys, look at that thing just below 11 hour. Seiko quality.
What are you talking about?
Why is the Tudor fxd black dive watch case back made of steel? Grade 5 titanium would have been fantastic.

“If you have it on the NATO strap”
It has fixed lugs….what are the options???
Great aesthetic, but I have zero interest in NATO straps.
Zero interest in nylon woven straps.
I have no need for fixed lugs.
Why are so many of these watch RUclipsrs using Leica cameras as props?
They look awesome and they’re also not the camera I shoot on so I’m able to slot it in!
Not a big fan of snowflake hands on the BB variants but they look good on the Pelagos with the square indices. I'd be all over this if it didn't have the fixed strap bars. I need a bracelet option. Maybe we will see a GMT version of the standard Pelagos at some point in the future.
I'm still holding out for a Pelagos FXD in 39 or 40 mm. My wrists are 16 cm and the watch already looks massive on your 16,5 cm wrist. XD
The name is Shtrap. Jamesh Shtrap.
I'm waiting for a GMT opaline dial with a jubilee bracelet. Probably that is not going to happen but...

I love to review shoes after walking for 4 minutes in them.
I like white too, but no, not white! It would be a totally different watch. This is a military watch and should stay that way.
This is a great watch. But I’m waiting for them to bring the GMT to the 39 or Monocrome the BB 58 GMT. I think this shows it’s all coming. 😁😁😁
