I really love these vids that are straight-up honest with no BS. Just a guy happy with what he got, and proud to share it with us. Great vid, and thank you!!
I just ordered a 72 top n bottom. Also i got the locker and side box. Delivery to store end of april. Took advantage of 400.00 off . Also boughtvthe 30 inch roller cart.
Very good review. I like the measurements of width, length, but mostly height depth. I needed that to determine socket organizers and wrench placement.
It's funny you say you got the 42" since you're a diyer. I can rebuild an engine with all of the tools in my 44" box (series 2). I work as a medium duty diesel mechanic. Really loving the new series 3 though.
Hello Sir: I am debating whether to by a US General tool box or save for a used Snap-On tool box. While the US General tool boxes are a good value for the Home Garage. there is one aspect that does concern me somewhat. I pretty much have the same type and quantity of tools as you in your US General 42" tool box. When you open and close drawers, does the whole tool box "Wobble"? Or it the tool box pretty solid in that respect?
I just got a 56” US General Series 3 for my home garage in the grey and it’s very stable no rocking out of mine I did the top chest for mine it offers tons of storage and options. Absolutely love mine. The cabinet feels very heavy duty and well built. The casters rolled very well once I had the box fully loaded. Empty my 56” is 631 lbs. loaded up I bet it weighed over a 1000 lbs and still feels very stable. Unbelievable value for the money in my opinion. I got mine purchased just before Christmas at 20% off all in with tax I got both pieces for just under $1,300.
They are build very well. I currently have a snap on krl 55” and I’m on the fence on selling and buy to us general setups one for work and home. The snap on depth is the real winner but very expensive for tool storage. Snap on 10k but 29” deep us general $599 but depth is only 22”
I ordered the 22" end locker. The first one arrived busted (after waiting almost 4 weeks), so still waiting on the replacement one (now has been another 4 weeks). I plan to do an update video of my setup then.
Curious if you would speculate whether or not you could bolt 2 42" boxes together. I have thoughts of doing 2 42' instead of a 72"....... actually cheaper, and theoretically more storage space.
42 inch box would give you 16700cu ft of space 56 inch box gives you 23500 cu ft at $300 more 72 inch gives 29700 I believe at 1k more my suggestion would be if you don’t want the 72 get the 42 inch box a 42 inch top chest and a side box would only set you back about 1300 cheaper than the 72 and your sitting at about 35400 cu fr of tool space while only taking up the space of a 56
I like the new series 3 boxes. You ought to consider getting the top chest to that plus a bottom 27 inch. You can bolt the 27 inch bottom chest to the 42 bottom. You cant do that with the series 2. Check out my vid on my toolbox tour of my 42 and 26 inch bottom and top chest series 2. Like and comment. Have a good day sir.

Tell us you got money, without telling us you got money lol
@@cawbplays well actually I do.
Love the red with black trim. Looks sharp. Hard to decide on which color to get, most of them look pretty good.

Who cares I have more tools and boxes at my home garage than I do at work
Nice box man! I just picked up the 56 top and bottom in red to move from a smaller setup I had (We are in Wolfpack country too!)
Good video review! I like the color. I want to like the green but it looks faded. The blue and the red are great colors.
I own the 5 drawer green cart but have too many tools. May need an upgrade soon. Great review. Nice setup.
That's really helpful! Thanks man!

Looks Good
Very nice !
Looks like you need another box for now, 'maybe' a little bit bigger. 😉

Did harbor freight put in the the trailer for you with their fork lift
yes with the pallet.
is it 42" wide, without the handle?
