Final Fantasy X - Farming Sinspawn for Early S-levels and AP. FFX OP Guide Part 3!

- Hello all, and welcome to part 3 of my Final Fantasy X Overpowered guide!
**THIS WALKTHROUGH CONTAINS SPOILERS THROUGHOUT**
I've recently seen a lot of people playing the Final Fantasy X Remastered release on Xbox One, and there are many people who play it without knowing the best techniques for efficiently grinding the end-game and getting the Dark Aeons and Penance.
Not only that, but it's a very fun game to be overpowered in, which is something I love doing in games.
In this episode we get TONS of early AP and S-levels by grinding Sinspawns, and the best part that is if done correctly they never even get a turn. I'd strongly recommend doing this until Kimahri and Wakka get the Slayer Overdrive mode, which helps a lot later on for getting MP Stroll armours from Quactuars. I did this for 1 hour 10 minutes in the video,and by the end I had obtained the Slayer Overdrive modes, Energy Rain for Tidus and 8-11 S-levels per character. It's a massive return for such a relatively short period of grinding, as really sets you up for the rest of the game.
I have started a playthrough and will be doing some videos of things to watch out for along the way. This focuses on 3 early-game grinds to get way ahead on some skills and have a blast wrecking everything in your path! It also involves a fair bit of Blitzball in Luca, but that bit is sort of optional. This playthrough will be a Standard Grid playthrough because it lets you use Break HP Limit more effectively if that's the route you choose to go down. The Expert Grid has its own advantages, but isn't good for BHPL enthusiasts.
The key points for me are:
Get Haste before leaving Besaid
Grind Sinspawns on the S.S.Liki
Win the Luca Blitzball game to get a Strength sphere
Win a Blitzball League and tournament for a Teleport Sphere and Return Spheres.
Teach Yuna the -ara spells
Get Kimahri Holy by Macalania
Get MP Stroll armours for certain characters.

I am such a crazy grinder, the last time I did that Sinspawn fight everyone ended up with 24-28 levels. That was because I used Remote Play with my phone and iPad to keep doing the Sinspawn for ages, even tapping X on the controller with my big toe while reading something else.

I didnt have haste, but I did use cheer 5 times and it goes well
Ah I'm doing it now without haste and i don't think it's actually required just use cheer 5 times.. it still one shots

After a 15 year "retirement" from gaming, I started playing FF-X again for just a nostalgia hit. I created a specific file for this series of videos and trying to follow it as close as possible. The question I had that really wasn't answered up to this point, though, is how soon after doing this specific grind should one use the S.Lev's obtained? As in should one use them as soon as they get to Kilika Port or save them for later? In case you're wondering about my results... Went into this farm grind two uses away from obtaining "Energy Rain". Got E.R. and Blitz Ace as Overdrives for Tidus, also got the modes Comrade and Ally for Tidus, having already obtained Warrior and Slayer. For Wakka, got the modes of Warrior, Slayer, Comrade and Ally. For Lulu, got the same four for her as I got for Wakka. For Yuna, same as Wakka and Lulu. For Khimari, same four as the previous three. Got 30 S.Levs on average for each and 45,000 Gil by the end of the grind. Grind took 8 hours to complete and it should be of note that I was on my PS2 for this. Suffice to say, thumb was numb.
The worst part about it is sitting through all the cut scenes when you've already seen them hundreds of times
True, true. I really feel like they could've added a skip option or a 10x speed option like the PC port.
I mean, it's a £45 remake of a 20 year old game...get your act together, Square Enix!
@@DPhoenix237 yeah lol. Dont get me wrong I've been playing this game since I was like 6 and it's my favorite game ever and it probably always will be, but especially now I'm trying to platinum it on the ps4 I just want to continue and not watch a 10 minute un skippable cutscene.
I feel your pain, just bought it on switch and played it so many times I just find it a grind with the all the cut scenes, definitely needed a speed option or skip cutscenes
Thats why i always start on a safe past the luca tournament. Yeah its not the real beginning but come on, mihen is the first part in the game where the real fighting begins.
@@Stevemastersreason yeah that is true, i feel like after the tournament is when the game really begins. and plus you wont have to play the tournament which I always dread when starting a new game. But the only downside is that you skip the part you meet Yuna for the first time.
I did this method for 1.5 hours. Got just over 2000 ap. khimari went up 15 s Levels. Also got 99 power speheres, 9 mana spheres, 4 ability spheres, ice brand, and liquid steel.
Khimari and waaka both got slayer and warrior. Tidus learned energy rain. Wake and Tidus also learned Ally
That's some good prizes
Ive been following this guide as close to the letter as possible with my own couple of changes and my own feels to it and so far its been an amazing game. In my honest opinion if your going to take anything away from this fight, make sure you take Tidus energy rain from it. Tidus pretty much one shots his special enemy catagory through out each area (the light fast enemeis) so youll be able to drop energy rain a ridiculs amount of times during casual battles from this point on, getting ER so freaking early is more of a game changer then the early sphere levels if you ask me!.
I farmed energy rain from the piranhas early on when rikku takes you into the ocean. You can also farm 99 grenades and 99 potions there so its a good early exploit
I am like 5 hours in a gameplay and I got ER just before boarding the ship, I grinded grenades and potions before to sell to get enough money for O'aka, and it was fairly easy, also talked to everyone on beach both on arrival and when leaving and got at least 1k Gil from them plus chests. My aim is to get overdrive modes for Kimahri and Wakka. However I cheated a bit by using 4x speed on some fights, or frequent encounters 🫣 Overkilling Klikk was pretty annoying :D However, there was no trouble spending ability spheres, as I somehow managed to get like 30 of them! However I think 20 minutes now on 4x should be enough to get levels more levels than necessary

Yeah it's fun. I only ever do it for an hour or two max, though.
I set this up last night (w/ turbo controller) with wakka, tidus, and furry dude. Just got home and cycled furry dude out for yuna. Getting blitz ace and warrior for yuna, then switching back for a full 24 hours of grinding this.
Rikku gonna be SO underpowered when she finally joins group.
Just because some people asked left this running on switch a while to make a overpowered save for future use, didnt have a crash, 36 hrs running 40k+ ap , 49 slvls on every one but tidus, and the next sphere level was around 2650 to get

Well, it'd get you a ton of levels for sure. I know that back in the day people used to leave the PS2 on with a turbo pad and stuff like that.
I think as long as you get the extra S-levels to be able to get a bit ahead it's enough for me. Personal preference I guess. Some people have grinded in Besaid until Yuna has Holy...but isn't that just a waste if life? To each their own.
Had this game when it first came out, just got it again and following your guide, great stuff thanks for doing it, this weekend is gunna be a long grind haha
safest part in my life have grinding for like 3 days and nights and my ps4 did't turn on from rest mode the next morning so need to start over

I did two hours here. Unlocked Blitz Ace, recieved 20,000Gil and levels went up 12 to 15 levels.
Yikes, that's a lot. The S levels really drops off though, because of the higher AP requirements per level.
@@DPhoenix237 yes that's what I was thinking so stopped when I did. Logged more hours on this game when it came out than any game before or since. Was overpowered for story bosses but slaughtered by dark aeons. Starting again now and I love your videos. Real helpful attention to detail. Thanks man!

I was on vacation for 2 weeks and did this and let me be the first to tell you…just do a bit of grinding here. No need to try and hit 24-48hrs. Another RUclipsr said you need to do 45-48hrs for max levels. Besides the don tonberry trick there is a way to get way more right before your fight with Yunalesca. The abandoned zanarkand dome. Before you do the cloister trial stay close to your save sphere and do random fiend encounters. By this point you should be able to solo everyone by summoning Bahamut and using “impulse”. Have Tidus use hastega and let every body have a turn just using guard. Then bring out your summon it should one shot everyone except that huge robot stone fiend. I kicked back and did up to 36 level ups for my characters then I got curious and did a couple more hours and casually hit 99 level ups for each character with a TON of Gil. You don’t need to suffer through this sin grind. I attempted it and hit 48 hours and the game froze. I was outraged. Started over and only did like 3-4 hours and started with a decent leg up . But do that zanarkand dome grind don’t stress yourself with this. Unless you really want to be OP before meeting Sheeva. Just my opinion. Lmao by the way after this grind Yunalesca was CRUSHED 😂😂
I just started this game and I'm already looking for videos like this, is this the earliest you can start to farm exp?
Yeah, it's not really necessary after this if you know what you're doing. It's not a very grind-heavy game until the endgame, especially if you follow my walkthrough.
Just like he said the hardest bosses are more in the end game
If it’s ur first time I’d rather play it through and figure it on your own it can be frustrating but I get the full experience
I heard you say a few times throughout the series, not to raise Yuna's stats very high before Anima, but how do I do that? Do I only teach her magic and ignore all the stats?
Nah, you don't have to go so extreme with it...I find it very useful to have her as a second Black Mage who is even faster and more powerful than Lulu throughout the regular story section of the game.
However, by the time you get the Airship and are almost done with the main story (ready to do capturing and that sort of endgame stuff) you'll probably find that like me your other characters are extremely string and you don't really need Yuna for capturing, so then I'll start saving her S-levels instead of levelling her up further, thus keeping Anima's stats relatively low whilst doing capturing.

So lulu and yuna only need 1 turn each and be switched out and they will also get all the ap?
Yes, but they must take an action (eg. Defend 1 turn).
you can use a outdo fire controller or macro on PC Amazon sells a 3rd party controller with outdo fire for PS4 and can be used on this game on PS5 hold it down or rubber band it and go off all day al long as u want to get 99 for the grid
Does anyone know if overkilling gives more EXP per kill here? I can't remember if that was the case throughout the game or not, google says it sometimes does. I was maybe going to level Tidus and Wakka up a bit beforehand to ensure it.
sorry I'm a little confused. Why did you use spiral cut on the final enemy instead of energy rain? don't you want to work towards unlocking blitz ace?
All of the Overdrives count towards earning the next Overdrive for Tidus; it doesn't matter which one you use. It's just 10 uses for S&D, 30 uses for Energy Rain and 80 for Blitz Ace 👍

I'm on ps5 I remember doing it on ps2 on 2 hours and I get 99 ap I hope the ffx remastered for ps4 don't have this patched
I usually only do this when using the expert sphere grid, the extra levels I get help when I want to back track or have the others take a different route.
I usually like grinding in Kilika and Mi’ihen highroad
Yeah, I've heard people say that too. I'll have to do a direct comparison one day, but this method has the advantage of not having to pay attention to things like switching characters in every fight, and also quickly gets Wakka and Kimahri the Slayer Overdrive mode.
Phoenix237 I had seen another video where Kimahri dips into lulu’s sphere grid for the “‘ga” spells and flare in malcalania. Do you think you could do a comparison of that vs dipping into Yuna’s for holy?
@@krgood9008 That sounds interesting actually. I've just done a rough going and it'd be about the same number of S-levels. You'd be lacking a second character with Steal and Use though, which would be a shame.
Phoenix237 I suppose a way around it could be getting Yuna there somehow or getting a skill sphere. Yuna has a high agility, but the ease of Kimahri going through could be one of the pros for the holy route.
Im playing FF10 on PC, I can use speed up x4, but it seems like I cant use auto-battle (auto battle makes all chars Attack physicly all enemies). Any idea why? Was this intentional by developers?
I have absolutely no idea....never playes the PC version. If I had tob guess, it would be because all of them except Wakka are unable to attack Sin, who is the actual enemy.

Could I also get Slayer for Yuna with her aeons? Goes yuna's aeons count as kill? And how many does she require to get slayer? Lulu? Since I'll be grinding for hours I want them all to have that overdrive.
No, the girls don't have high enough Strenght to use physical attacks and they'd run out of MP. Yuna doesn't even get attacking spells on Standard grid yet and Valefor would get overrun eventually because she can't be hasted. Her kills don't even count for Yuna's Slayer anyway IIRC.

Were you using x4 speed? I'm trying to calculate the amount of time for 50 sphere levels on x4.
No, this was on Xbox One so no speed available, unfortunately.
I have no idea how long it'd take for 50 levels. A long, long time.
@@DPhoenix237 thanks mate. That means 5 hours on x4 speed should get me about 30-40 levels (factoring the incremental exp requirement per additional level). I suppose that would be enough to take me to the next grinding spot, the high bridge.
Currently using Hori Splitpad pros turbo function on my Nintendo Switch OLED to grind this for at least 4 more hours. It’s been 2.

How many hours does this take without any speed boost cheats, just haste? I got a timer going on my phone set for 3 hours, I'm just tapping X and whenever I'm done tapping X, I pause the timer and then start it again at the same time I start tapping X

'A full day's worth'. That's your problem right there; neither consoles nor PCs like being on for that length of time. There's no point in doing that, either.
The game isn't difficult and you get far more benefit from using that time to grind somewhere later if you really want to eg. Thunder Plains vs Quactuars, or Home, or the bridge before the Seymout Natus.

It appears my kimahri is glitched this play through as I’ve been at this spot for about 2 hrs and haven’t gotten slayer but I did for wakka. Then I continued on with kimahri for about an hour after I got slayer for wakka. I’ve done this precise grind many times so idk what happened this time
Never heard of that before tbf. It takes quite a few kills for him, but 2 hours sounds excessive.

I think I'm gonna grind here for like a week. I was halfway to Blitz Ace already, but sadly Tidus is the only one who's DIFFERENT Limit Break forms, not types that I've actually worked on in the game so far. First time playing FFX in well over a decade, and I'm determined to perfect it as much as it possibly CAN BE perfected.
Make sure to read the descriptions if you're following the walkthrough. Don't go anyway with Kimahri, ha.

Doing this now and once you unlock energy ray for tidus and get 3 overkills the overdrive bar is back to being halfway full again and then just kill 2 of them with slayer tudus and the Overdrive bar will be full again to do another round of enegery ray for over kills. 😀
Hey I tried this with the turbo controller Method for a day. For some reason the game freezes after this fight at the cutscene. What do you recommend for the amount of time to do this to get 99 SLv.
I really couldn't tell you I'm afraid; the most I've ever done was about 15 levels. It takes progressively higher AP to get S-levels though so it'd be a lonnnngggg time.
I'd say 45-50 hours at best to get 99 Slv

Same for me, I left it auto farming all night lol. when I woke up and killed the boss and game crashed. I got the feeling it might probally bug the game as its too early for them levels? I dont know no expert lol.
@@Hateious I believe 11-12 hours was a safe limit to grind. Tried a few times testing it on the remastered version.

Interesting. I think about 1 hour is the sweet spot for me, because you get diminishing returns. Good stuff, enjoy the rest of the playthrough!
Like, for unlocking certain things
Sitting on like 125k gil (tbh grinded out like 25k to pay oaka the 10.001 right away) Khimari went up 30 S Levels.... so yeah. Yuna just shy of Cura and got that at Killika right after. (I assumed the sinscales gave 4 when overkilled like the mobs on Besaid....sadly they only give 3 when OKd... so as soon as I read that I called it quits diminishing returns at that point, lol.) I made sure to grind out Warrior/Slayer/Ally and Daredevil with Kimahri.
That's a crazy amount of grinding.
@@DPhoenix237 I watch YT and spammed X on the battle. I was overkilling in one hit with Wakka (about 80% of the time) and Tidus via normal hits (every single time via BH), and Kimari via crits. After reading I only get 3AP for overkilling Sinscales... I decided to stop killing after the team got 7 OKs ina row. So about an hour later and 5-6 times with 6 OKs ina row I moved on, lol.
Forgetting to unlock Distill Ability with Wakka at the beginning cost me a bit, but I had already unlocked everyone's core 7/8 Overdrive modes on Besaid.... so restart wasnt worth it.

@@DPhoenix237 Mainly I was hoping to one shot OK the sin scales as best as I could. Tbh compared to a few RPGs or MMOs I've played its not too bad, a few evenings just casually spam killing mobs. Did a bit more on Kilika and got Tidus to Slowga last night, and Lulu is almost to Bio. Firega makes killing plant guys a guaranteed 40AP each so its not bad. Its the lock spheres handcuffing what I do thats going to be the problem. Tbh this would have been way better for an expert grid run due to the fact Tonberry is going to obliterate my team later on for AP tricks.
Playing the pc version of the game and unfortunately the auto battle function doesnt seem to work in this battle. Kinda sucks if im honest, i was really looking forward to auto lvl like crazy on that part xD
Ah that sucks. Doesn't it have a speedup mode, though? Wouldn't take long at all to get some good S-levels just setting up with Haste and Cheer, then putting speed-up on and mashing attack?
@@DPhoenix237 The speedup sure helps, made like 6-7 Slvls in 10 minutes or less so its a hell of a lot better than my session on ps3. Still, auto battle wouldve made this spot even more insane for early game S-lvls. By no means mendatory, but it wouldve been nice to have.
Yeah true. I was really annoyed that the speed-up isn't in the console versions. Especially for the Xbox One and PS4 versions, as they came out later....and the FFVII & FFVIII games have the speed-up features on those versions!
@@DPhoenix237 wait the ps4 version doesnt have the speed-up feature? now thats some bs, especially since the ps4 version is the second time the game has been remastered for the playstation series. now im glad i bought the steam version and not the ps4 one.

I did this for not sure how long 😂. I level up until 29. Shame that it has no times booster like in PC.

Well, after getting nearly 40 SLvls with all 4 characters in Besaid, I am going for 99 SLvls. Should take about 1 month, but I am gonna go for like 33 or 34 days, just to make sure. I am not gonna develop them right away, but gonna go for slow, lvl 3 tier elemental spells and some white magic spells. As for Kimahri, gonna go all the way, leaving him at the Rikku grid door, for the moment I get the lvl1 lock spheres. Its very extreme, and boring to wait, but hey, turbo can be your friend here. I used an elastic for the Besaid part, after Yuna got Pray ability, so it could be left fully automatic, but its very slow. Walking to walls make eccounters become "less active"

Followed this but i stayed on deck till i got blitz ace....approx 2 hours of grinding ended with 16-20 "levels"

I did it for 5hrs and only got 30 s.lvs and I was trying to get to 99. If I have to do this for like 12hrs that is gonna suck.
There's no need tbh. You'll already be well ahead at that point.
It's like 50 hours for 99.
There are more efficent places to lv up later in the game. This is just a step in a process to get khimari holy and luna the Ara black magic spells.
Man I am SO PISSED that I didn't get Wakka's Slayer type Overdrive, nor anything for Lulu. Its different for Kimarhi since this is the first time you fight with Him, but damn....WHY DIDN'T I GET WAKKA some other Overdrives so he could exercise them in this grind as well as Tidus, towards Blitz Ace... Fuuuuuuuuuck, I am sad, mad and hurt all at the same time. >_

I'm doing this right now actually... Turbo controller and a "C clamp" holding the X button down...lol
Just spent 4 hours auto attacking the sin spawn while I napped. Came back to over 40k AP or so, and 60k gil.

If there was a way to skip all the blitzball in luca i would play this game so much more, but i just can't stand BB and hate that i'm forced to play it. I'm kinda the same with FFIX and card game in treno.
I like Blitzball, although the Luca game with the unskippable custcenes and it being heavily in their favour I annoying.
Worth it for that Strength Sphere, though! 💪
Nice series but you cometely miss one point: yuna should go the tidus/auron/wakka route. Never spend a lvl with her and as soon as you can teleport her on the sphere grid you spend all lvls on one of these routes. Her bahamut will do 99k with auto hits and impulse before you even fight the 2nd seymour, which will trivialize everything until the postgame.
Since her summons attack scaling is very high since it way balanced for a yuna with a normal white mage setup ans low attack, you can imagine how this will skyrocket when she gets aurons attack early.

I didn't miss that potential Yuna path though; I knew it, I just don't like it and wouldn't recommend it myself.
Summoning aeons every battle is time consuming, and by the time you have Bahamut you can just have the Aga spells and/or Flare and Doublecast and just kill things quicker than summoning anyway.
It's a good strat to power up the Aeons, but doing things the way I do them in this guide means you can just kill things quickly without bothering summoning often at all.
Most of the Aeon's ODs scale off Magic and not strength IIRC, and so having Yuna be Black mage makes her a) better than Lulu and b) makes the Aeon's Overdrive damage high for bosses anyway.
I dunno why going the ad route with yuna slows the kill speed of your group, since it affects literally nothing that your normal party does. Black mage routes is a waste of time since it becomes useless when u reach the calm lands and before that you can use lulu for it. Whatever everybody has his personal preferences i guess.
the game is already trivial on itself so that is just for people who really need to boost their D size

It is slower to summon every battle due to the animation rather than doing quick casts with spells.
@@mr.voidroy6869 Its not when you 1 shot story bosses with summons attacks. Also you dont need to summon evrry battle since yuna just attacks, which is way faster than casting.
Every has there own way getting OP on FFX, don't they.

How much do you think 4 hours would give for xp?
I'm not sure; you get fewer levels the longer you do it because it takes more exp per level. I'd guess somewhere between 13 and 18? No idea. Try it out, I guess?

1hr without haste, generated 700-750AP. That gave everyone atleast 8 levels
99 Power, 6 Mana & 2 Ability Spheres 10k gil

I have no idea; I've only ever done it for an hour or so. I don't think it'd be good for the console to be honest, but it's up to you.

I unlocked Energy Rain during this grind & it overkilled all 3 100% of the time. Even if I missed the button.
I did this grind for 1hr40min. Went up 13 levels for everyone.
Energy Rain is hella strong this early; I love it.

I tried doing this to get 99 levels for everyone and the game would freeze immediately after the battle. I then went with a single day run and it didn’t freeze at all while I got about 30-35 levels for everyone.
I don’t know why the game would freeze when going for a couple days of grinding but be fine with a single day.
Took me about 1hr 45 to get Blitz Ace. The Slayer mode with Tidus helped. First time getting Blitz Ace this early!!
The auto battle for this has been disabled by the looks of things, so can't do it that easy. 😥😒😓
Auto-battle? This was done on console, no mods or autobattle or anything like that.

Yeah the SS Liki is super easy to grind on the PC version because you can use the x4 speed and combo that with special K for a total of 8x-16x speed. For some reason those two stack with each other and give you an insane fast forward which allows you to have a 4-8x for things like Overdrives which the 4x normally slows back down to 1x. 15-20 mins of real time you are able to get Blitz Ace.
What is special k? Is it an application?
@kiul5462 Yeah it has a lot of QoL features like party wide AP without needing to swap, English/JP VA swapping, controller icons like playstation 3, 4, Xbox 360, etc. 2, 4, and 8x speed ups that also work in cutscenes and more. You can also use it in tandem with the cutscene remover, though there are a couple bugs. Look up FFX Untitled Project X. Should be a link to a Steam guide with everything.

@@kiul5462 Ctrl-shift-H should be the default. Press start and select to open up the special K menu. There are also gamepad inputs for them I just don't remember them.

I think so, although I haven't tried it for years without it. Keep a save on Besaid just in case.

On console, I ground this for 2 days and twice now when I killed the fin and went to the cut scene, it froze... any ideas what is going on? Ps4 btw.
Do you mean 2 actual days with your console being on for over 24 hours straight? You probably overheated it.

Yeah, twice it did that. I am guessing that I let it get beyond 99 for one of the people and it didn't like that.
@@godemperorhoover2131 That's never a problem when you do it later in the game, though. Consoles aren't designed to be left on for 2 days at a time.
@@DPhoenix237 I have done exactly that multiple times on every console, going back as far as the original Nintendo. Never smoked a console once. I was one of the few people that never got a red ring of death on the 360. Funniest part about this is that after it did it the second time, I started all over again and let it run for 36 hours. This was after it ran for 48 straight. It went right on through the cut scene, no issue. Pretty sure it is not the console overheating.

I did it for an hour in this playthrough. That's good enough for about 8-10 S Levels usually.

Just to clarify , for the overdrives of Titus and Kimahri , you get all that before getting on the boat farming all the sins ? Or you get them during the fight farming them ?
I plan to go 4 hours + with this farming strategy , for Titus he eventually run out of MP casting cheers and haste after an hour , so I use my the mana potions to replenish his MP to keep it going for 3 hours more?
@@superheroprotagonist 4 hours is a long time; don't overheat your machine. It's up to you.
Tidus should have Slayer from the tips in the first episode.
Kimahri and Wakka learn Slayer during the actual Sinscale farming.
Haste and Cheer don't run out, so you only have to cast Haste once each on Tidus, Kimahri and Wakka. Use Cheer 5 times when all three are in, like in the video.

I did 2 hours + on the Sin ship and managed to get warrior and slayer for both Wakka and Kimarhi
Only managed to cast 5 times cheers and one haste on Tidus coz somehow I left with 4 MP after casting one haste(probably didn’t upgrade Tidus MP) but I did managed to wail through the sin insects without giving them a turn

It is impossible to get 9999 damage before Shiva. The best you can achieve by the Thunder Plains is the spells ending in "ra" I.e lv2. Black magic and around 1,500HP and 400 atk. The Sinspawn don't give enough AP and anyway you're restricted by level 1-4 key spheres and the amount of levelling spheres you have. You can max out after 200+ hours of gameplay and at the monter arena
No it isn't. I deal 9999 to Sherimorph in Macalania on this very playthrough. Dealt 9k to an Iron Giant with Kimahri's Holy, too.
Make sure you have enough MP to cast Haste 3 times (8mp). I didn't, so Kimahri didn't get any. So he was attacking once for every two turns Wakka & Tidus.
Can't remember if I mention this, but yes. Tidus gets an MP node before he gets Haste on both grids (I think).
@Phoenix237 Expert grid it's right next to Haste ( it's the only closest one) & for some reason, I spaced activating it.
If you talk to one of the islanders at the dock before setting sail you can receive an Ether. WIsh i knew this as I took extra time getting that extra sphere level for the Max MP +20
think ill do this with lulu magic and use ethers to get the most bad karma i can before moving on
I just did this with a turbo controller for 60 hours... and my game froze after i killed sin. fml

For anyone who tries this, it freezes even after you let the console cool down. 45 hours with a turbo controller wasted
It will freeze so you should only do this for no more than 6 or 8 hours. I read that on gamefaqs years ago

The only bad thing about this is that you gain too much ap and not enough spheres to level up speed and accuracy. So I'm stuck where I'm at until I get some more spheres.....
I remember doing this grind about 7 hours, and level about 40, i forgot how many gils i got, but that was really pain in the ass grinding manually 😂😂😂
I try not to grind too much in the early game since Rikku and Auron aren't available yet and i'd rather get to them sooner
It's worth an hour here though; an hour isn't long for the benefit it gives imho.
