Also, I know that you guys love Akane but Ranma is a martial expert who has been training since he was a little boy, he can identify other fighters' power levels very easily so that is why he was right when saying that Akane is not a match for Shampoo, Akane is strong but Shampoo is stronger.
And Ranma says " IF ONLY AKANE WAS SO STRAIGHTFOWARD WITH ME" lord.. viewers are not listening Ranma at all. He wants this kind of affection, But not from Shampoo . He does want it from Akane. He just admit it!! Why no one is listening him?
If Akane would simply listen to Ranma and express her own feelings, then this show would be over already. The complications leading to chaos is what drives this story forward and make it funny..

Akane's jealousy is much more scary when she sees Shampoo hugging Ranma in the 80's she's much more restrained she just closes the window on him but in this she rips the straw out of the training dummy and throws a desk at him.
Akane throws Shampoo's broken ball mace to separate Ranma and Shampoo. Tho ripping the sraw doll is pretty tame. Ranma is kind of a wimp so he can't reject Kodachi or Shampoo outright when they being a little agreesive.
It's the window in the manga too. This is a remake that's "supposed to stay closer to the manga", yet the original anime was a lot closer to the manga for the two chapters adapted here. The soccer ball knocking Ranma out is an anime addition, the fight between Ryoga and Ranma on the roof is new (in the original Ryoga just threw the bucket and knocked Ranma off the roof with that), the bit with Ryoga's angel and devil side is new... in comparison, the old anime stayed very close to the manga here with the sole exception of a 3 minute or so Looney Tunes-esque chase sequence where Ranma keeps changing back and forth just out of sight of Shampoo and having to deal with her different reactions to male and female Ranma.
