@@TheLocalLt at the 2018 US open he was at his PEAK & if he didn’t win that he was going to with the next ones, here he hadn’t won a major in 4 years, just had an EPIC gag at the masters. Also these days the PGA is FAR superior to either Opens & especially the US open, look at the winners of them thruout recent years
@@nathanherzka9355 this was the moment Koepka became viewed as a true superstar and force of nature. He had won in weird fashion against a fairly weak cast on a benign course the year before, and playing partner Dustin was a much bigger name at the time (Brooks was best known as his new “workout buddy”). For Brooks to not only hold off a historic round from Fleetwood, while dusting the floor with Dustin, all on one of America’s oldest and toughest courses in blazing fast conditions (and in front of the rowdy New York fans), to become the first back-to-back winner since Curtis in 1989 (with Curtis on the call no less), was the moment he basically arrived and became a full-fledged superstar (holding off a charging Tiger at the PGA a few months later only confirmed it). This was one of the most impressive performances I’ve seen in recent years. The 2023 PGA may have been more important in the arc of Koepka’s career, but in terms of the victory itself the 2018 US Open is of exceptional quality, even compared to most major victories.
His action here was really not OK, but, the statement that he's generally a cheater is pretty far-fetched. I haven't really seen him cheating on any other occasion.
I appreciate these full final rounds, thanks so much, I love the 80s and 90s too!
This is pretty clearly Brooks Koepka’s most impressive win, beat a star-studded leaderboard on one of America’s greatest and toughest courses
Nah, oak hill at the 2023 PGA championship was
@@nathanherzka9355 nah oak hill is great but it isn’t Shinnecock, and the PGA is great but it isn’t the US open

@@nathanherzka9355wym.. he won at Erin hills the year before?
Would love to get the full 3rd round posted.
The passive agressiveness between Strange and Azinger really makes this broadcast.

Damn the ny fans are annoying
In '86 Norman almost had to knock one of these tools out. Nothing like beer'd-up NY sports fans.
Phil revealed his true character again - a cheater with no respect for the game or his fellow competitors
