Patrick Reed's ballflight with his irons is unique and amazing. It is a draw, but it appears to be a quick draw to where it starts out right quickly, pulls left, then straightens out heading for home. I am fascinated by his controlled ball flight with those irons.
These are wonderful - but is there any way to NOT have the picture of the winner putting on the green jacket or celebrating on the picture to click on? Believe it or not, some of us don't remember all the winners, and it's even more fun to watch without knowing who's going to win. Thanks!
4:02:56 This is why I believe (I'm not alone, obviously) Rickie will break through and win a major at some point. He's on the 72nd hole at Augusta, needing a birdie to give himself a chance. He and the caddy talk it over, discuss what needs to be done, where to hit it...and Rickie executes it perfectly. That, and his best finishes in majors are all 2nds and 3rds.
Faldo, speaking for the brotherhood of Masters champions: “Welcome to the new age, to the new age” ... leading to, Reed is radioactive, radioactive. Well played, Sir Nicholas.
At the end of four days, Reed had outplayed the best in the world at their own game. I excelled at sports in my day, in my little pond (and it was very little, indeed). I remember our State baseball championship. We were the best that day among our peers, our school size, in our state. We circled up, jumped and yelled and just gave in to the sheer joy. Now, just imagine being the best in the world for a moment. The hours of practice, the hard work, and the sheer talent cannot be denied. Whether or not Reed is liked, the accomplishment cannot be denied. That one thing, at least, deserves respect.
Just watching speith and I'm wondering what Peter alis was watching....speith dull??? Huh what??? Had the pleasure of being a steward at Birkdale when he won.....he's great to watch, some of the shots he goes for is fantastic.
The year is 2043. Rory McIlroy at 53 years old is leading by 4 on Sunday at Agusta. Can he hold on to become the oldest golfer to both win the Masters and complete the Grand Slam. Only Charlie Woods has achieved the career Grand Slam in the last 20 years.
Would have been more dramatic if the grass in front of 13 green was shorter to penalize 2nd shots coming up just short. Patrick was fortunate his 2nd shot didn't roll back into the creek as the grass held it up.. Spieth birdied 16 right after to tie for the lead at that point.
