QUESTION: Could these be frozen in airtight container with parchment paper between either before or after cooking? I'm the only cabbage lover in my house.
I made this and it was super tasty. I had trouble with it not wanting to stick together though. I didn’t have semolina so i substituted some polenta and flour. I think my heart was too high too, because it cooked up so fast it burned a little. Still tasted good though, and i liked the crispiness. Are these with ranch dressing for dipping. Thank you for the recipe!
I haven’t made these yet, but with potato pancakes I have the same problem and have been told that you can’t touch them until they are ready to flip or they may fall apart. The browned surface is what holds them together. Thanks for asking this because I am going to make these tonight and I will know they are probably going to fall apart.
true, fry the cabbage along with the onions, garlic so you don't drain out the nutrients of the cabbage. Cool the cabbage then mix the rest of ingredients.
I would parboiled or steam them for a few minutes first (not til mushy! - rinse w/cold water, drain, cool & then grate like in recipe, this is what I do when I make hash browns at home, just don't cook potatoes til mushy! You want some texture so they don't disintegrate once cooled & grated or you end up with potato mash...). Hope that helps!
I need another egg, my patties are not staying together..... I added 2 eggs and the inside is not getting done. I'll just Pan fry the sides and bake in air fryer.

Next time try squeezing the water out of the cabbage.

Considering the egg is used as a binding agent, you could look online what can somewhat replace it.

It didn't work or me. The cakes fell apart on the frying pan. A great big mess. No taste until I added yogurt. But it's a good ideal.
