- Awoken by the sun on the teepee, we rose full of cheer!
But Norway had other ideas and after narrowly dodging a truck, we then spent the rest of the day outrunning the rain and second guessing the Beeline!!
If ever you're in this area, I warmly recommend a stop at Mo in Modalen. A fairytale town with a view worth the price of the coffee!

Stop...STOP, S T O P ! With the endless twisties, glorious climbs, sinuous descents, mirror like fjords, waterfalls, mountains and all that Norwegian ness. Where are the traffic lights, the congestion, the crowds of grumpy looking people, where are the cities, shops, multi storey car parks that we all know and love. I don't watch this channel for endless hours of gorgeous motorcycling Nirvana... oh no, hold on... that's exactly why I watch this channel... ah right, thanks Andy, good stuff mate. 👍

I know right! Sadly the name bike steadily stripped my enthusiasm away and now (through an unfortunate series of events) I’m on the second ACTUAL adventure bike!!

I had a good laugh myself ending this one! As it was last year, I'm reliving all the things that even I had forgotten even happened!
Fun fact: Modalen (Mo) is Norway's richest municipality.
You definately took the most fun route to Voss when you drove over Eksingedalen. So much fun riding those narrow roads.
I am riding from Bergen to Geilo tomorrow and will be riding many of the same roads that you did in this video. Fun watching this Norway tour. 👍

The unsung hero - Ian - such a humorous companion, enjoys his bike and riding wherever, whenever, whichever weather!! What a stalwart! and has a 360 camera on his bike too! You make a good case for why I usually check the roads I plan to ride on with street view etc. Though I understand that is not as available in Germany. Anyway, always visually amazing when you see a rain system rolling in.
Absolutely. i checked them a lot more carefully for my second visit. Although this time to make sure that they WERE gravel!!

It wouldn't be a proper AMC tour if the bike didn't end up in the verge. I'm remembering Yorkshire coming off the Scottish tour, and the weather was a touch moist on that as well.

So THIS is what prompted the adventure bike purchase lol. That momentary off road mishap and that's it, need the suspension and the knobbly tyres! 🙂(Or it might just be that you and TLR seem to find muddy trouble wherever you go together)
It was definitely a big part of it! Got tired of scratching up that poor poser bike, and got something that was meant to look shoddy!!

At least the cows and sheep move away when you get near enough... ;) I came round the corner the other day on the run up to the Tann Hill Inn, and a sheep was sat right in the middle of the road... and they refused to get up/move, I had to squeeze past with on cms to spare on either side... :( Is there an (occasional) issue with the Beeline that can't be blamed on slightly inaccurate waypoint placement? Can you have the map displayed on the phone (like a "normal" GPS) showing the route, along with the dedicated device as per usual? (that would be the best of both worlds and help alert you to any routing issues you didn't want/were not expecting...?
Chav sheep, zero fudges given! You can have the map on the phone, but the layout is a bit rubbish.

I do still use it. Although because I'm lucky enough to have several 'normal' action cameras, I tend to mostly use the X3 rather than the One RS. But if it's you're only camera, the versatility of the RS is undeniable.

We just did pay as you go. Which means some of them we paid, some of them they took a picture of our number plates and we're still waiting for the bill!

It actually wasn't as expensive as expected. The second time even less so. I think i bought maybe one coffee and took almost all of my food and booze with me! 😂

This is still the tour that started last year. The Honda is now gone. The KTM is now also gone, but that’s a story for another time!

No, i was pretty happy with where i was aiming. It was simply that the tarmac curved away at one point and the tyre slipped off the edge. I‘d already practically stopped so it was an unlucky slip! Alls well that ends well though eh!
