From this video was uploaded, I've done snowdon 3 times, peak district twice, bring them to jamaica and hiked blue mountain peak, and few local hikes in Surrey... Still can't fault the boots, they are going strong.
Got these in black for my wife. They looked so good I had to get some as well. They are waterproof. Walked in heavy rain, long wet grass, mud, ice. Feet stayed dry over 3 days. Boots are very grippy. Best I’ve had for the price. Hope they last as other people have said they fall apart after a couple of months.
I have this color along with 3 other colorways. They are very warm and as you noted comfortable. My favor pair are the Marshmallow White and Checker. Cool review! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻😎✌🏻
Online it says that the shoe is for women? I’m a man and my size is 11 so should I still get the same size or is the shoe width or length going to be different as it’s for women?
@@Jack-xm2df what website are you looking at them. If it's from the US they should say the M/W size. Should be the same on any Vans website. Most of them are on sale right now to. I know the advertising say women's but they are unisex. Just order your normal size as they are true to size. The regular MTE 1, 2, and 3's all fit the same for me. If they don't fit you can always return them. Hope that helps ✌🏻✌🏻👊🏻😎💯
Thanks for the review plus use and details. How are the shoe soles holding since? I heard the flexible part of the sole might have issues after longer use, where the foot bends.
Are day good for daily use? I walk a lot and FAST! I searched for good shoes that are wide enough for my foot, durable, good for winter and also are below 100€ I saw them and thought "damn they look nice and are probably wide 'n comfy enough for me and maybe durable af Just bought them for 128€ and now I wait for the shipping ^^ Anything I need to take care about them? And: impregnate them? When yes, with what exactly?
They are good for daily walks and quite comfortable. Bare in mind they have an insulation inside, so wouldn't be the best in summer if you walk a lot. Winter time they are perfect. I will test them in deep snow soon at Mount Snowdon in December 🤞

Gore tex is a pcb material used in rain jackets it is water proof and breathable a lot of companies like columbia and north face use it for their hiking and skiing gear
I bought a pair of those too. And also bought SK8 - MTE 2 Dachsund to compare. MTE-3 's are more for colder weathers than MTE-2 's. So, I mean your climate should better be colder if you're choosing MTE 3's over MTE-2's . I live in Hamburg Germany, and it is not a warm place. But in last 10 years, there were maybe 10 days of deadly-ish colds. But I must say it really rains a lot here, a lot. On the otherhand MTE-2's are definetely, without hesitation I can say a lot more comfortable. If you think that this MTE-3 comfortable, you'd be feeling like walking on the clouds with MTE-2. At the end of the day, I'll keep only one of them and, I couldn't decide which one. MTE-3 is too heavy and less comfortable. But would provide my a lot of advantage perhaps when I ride a bike. However, it is also not a proper shoe to ride a bike, since it's really wide, and has thick sole. On the other hand, MTE-2 is just nice, looks nices, fits and matches to other clothes better (IMO). Although all the signs are showing MTE-2, I feel like I'll regret that decision :)))
That's so true they are wider and for the colder hikes. I'm planning on using them more for the winter and hiking in the snow up north. Happy Adventures :)

They have a bit of extra space mate. I have wide feet too so it's hard for me to find the right hiking boots... These fits perfectly and also enough space for thick socks while being comfortable walking for 5 hours non stop.

You can update their use with them?
Mine fell apart after 1 month and 10 days. Disappointed! 😢
@@giulianocecatto5592still got mine, did about 9 hikes last year
“Most hiking boots, they do look shit” hahah spot on 🤣 that’s why I’ve gone for these too
Great in-depth review - and proper field-testing. Nice one!
You're welcome
Thanks 🙏
Thanks for this! Was puzzled when I saw Vans was making a hiking boot. This helped a lot.
People should take notes 📝 this is how you make a review video! 👌🏼
I really enjoyed watching this video
It was helpful and at the same time relaxing since it was recorded in nature with those relaxing natural sounda

Hello, are they comfortable for long walks
@@ivonikolov6386 I'd say yes, I wear mine all day so yes.

I heard the same. Worn the boot couple time well and still no issues yet.

Hey bro, really enjoyed your review! A little off topic but where’d you get your pants and what type are they? Lol
I got them form ebay my bro. Navy blue, cargo tapered pants.
Sully from Top Boy is reviewing hiking boots now?
@@eugenebrennan2654 😂
What are your opinions on the durability of these shoes? I’ve read that they have problems with coming apart after a few weeks!?

Have you ever tried vivobarefoots boots?
Seems like a good boot. Was skeptical at first when I heard the words "Vans boot." But these seem like a good replacement for my Columbia's.
Curious how waterproof they are? Looking at getting some to use in the snow... fishing, shoveling the driveway, etc
Quite solid until below where the laces start
Mine were water proof in the beginning now I'd say they are water resistant 2 years later
That back "lip" is for skies or snow shoes so you can clip on.
Cheers 😎
Are they true to size?
Yes
What were the low tops shoes you had on before you put on the boots? Ha. I liked those.
Funny enough these are my favs, I searched high & low and can't find them again. They are, GSTAR - ARC Trainers.

not pcb. PFAS.
The thing on the back is to clip crampons on.
Thanks, Will be using it this winter
What the heck is a crampon lol

Nice "Iking" boots
Are they true to size? I have wide feet and my left foot is 1/2 size bigger
They have a bit of extra space mate. I have wide feet too so it's hard for me to find the right hiking boots...

do you think these will keep my feet dry as a mailman? i usually combo them with rockys gortex socks
If it's in the winter they should be perfect. They have an insulated layer plus the grip on the boot is insane so should do u well.
Do they run small?
Then run accurate to me mate, I did get one size up for thicker socks.
Can you tell me are they comfortable
Very comfortable. Worn them to work recently because it was snowinng, now I don't want to stop... In my opinion quite comfy for a daily wearer.
Ikers don like to ike with eavvy boots :D
Mte 2 are better these spit at the arch in a few months.
SK8 = skate ? 😄
So much better S-K-8 LOL I love it
DO YOUR FEET GET HOT IN A HOT DAY?
Yes very hot in the summertime, so I stick to trainers then. Other than that I have no problem, I also wear thin socks so maybe that helps.
Really nice review bro check mine out I put a lot of details in it
cool
Does it get too hot in summer?
Yeah it does, it's bearable for 1 hour. I just use a comfy trainers in summertime
@@theadventurousprince thanks for the response, I was planning to get this shoe for motorcycle riding.
