One of the most underrated movies ever.
Yes , realy gem
You suck
Movie kicks ass, it's something Hollywood struggles with nowadays; an original story and concept
Well j don't really care I just loved it
Waiting for part 2
This is awesome, they used a REAL set with limited green screen and real explosions like in the good days of film.
The use real explosions on all Transformers movies too.
SchneiderMan It is not real explosions when they use gasoline to make fire. IRL explosives dont make fires in the ground of paviment, is just a flash, a thunder, smoke and a lot of dust and debris. I hate when movies explosions are clearly a lot of gasoline, or when they make everything explotes with it, like any tocuh on a car and inmediatelly it explodes and a lot of gasoline goes everywhere and you can see the paviment on fire, wtf. When they do explosions i want em to be real, just as they are IRL, not a ball of fuel on fire.
Argentvs the explosions in transformers look like fireworks
all movies use real explosions :D well maybe not in the movie like avatar because its almost fully computer :D
Argentvs But they are real. The type of explosion is not the topic.
Tom and Emily were beasts with their stunts.
oh good i was'nt sure if that was thier double stunt doin it at first
Emily looks much happier in real life than her character. 😛
0:34 Wow! I would have thought the missiles flying through the air would have been CGI. I didn't realise they were practical effects! That's amazing!
That scares me. Imagine being and actor or extra on set. How do you not get hit with one? What about ear protection? So many questions.
fyi: its missile with wire
@@2degucitas that’s probably why the movie and a big ass budget. They knew they had to get everything right so it makes sense for the budget to be massive
I would love to see Emily Blunt do more action movies.
yeah, in my pants....
YEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
@@TheMegusto the gratuitous nature of your comment is infectious, sir.
Sicario - not sure if that counts...
@@vivavaldez87 sure count
fucking tom cruise man!, love it that he's doing hi's own stuns, very good movie
While yeah, kudos to them for being able to, it also takes away many jobs from the stunt people when actors do their own stunts...
thedon008 stunt actors are useless. theyre not even real actors.
BoxxyFan If they were useless...you wouldn't see 85 % or the cool action movie scenes you see...So no, they're not useless. They're well trained athletes, dedicated to their jobs.
I love when an actor does their own stunts
thedon008 you don't need stunt actors when you have CGI now a days
So much done without CGI. Impressive.
This movie is *extremely* underrated
Tom Cruise was excellent in this (no fanboy), he definitely nailed the role.
agreed. Not a big fan of Cruise either but i have to recognise quality where i see it. Excellent work all around.
I like how her "sword" is a helicopter blade sharpen and with a added handle. :D
I love it when movies are more "real" and less CGI.
best movie i have seen in a while.
Great Movie, was completely entertained - covered about everything from action, tech, seriousness, a few funny bits sitting absolutely on the right spots. Well casted - and Tom and Emily was a great match for this imo, well played executed and a good script from the Book.
This was a FANTASTIC movie.
Nice to see it behind the scenes! Such a great movie
No wonder the movie looked so good, a lot of practical effects in it!!
Still to this day i watch this movie from time to time.
Love this. Finally behind the scenes without music or quick cuts. Fantastic.
These were such terrific stunts combined with the best writing I’ve seen in a long time.
Tom Cruise is a badass.
Emily Blunt is the hottest badass.
Yeah I agree. ●0●
For 2014 this was a pretty nice summer movie.
If I had seem this movie in 1984 I WOULD HAVE GONE INSANE.
I usually stay away from blockbusters, just watched it because a friend was watching at home and I'm glad he did it, a more than excellent movie, great plot.
This movie was so well done.
4:51
wow. this man is just a beast. i cant/wouldnt even do that LOL. mad props to him, especially all the stunts he made in his Mission impossible movies. Plus this movie is slick. total bummer. a bit late but no regrets haha wish i couldve seen it on big screen tho.
Dam they work so hard on movies everyone from the camera angles to the actors so much energy and mental power to keep going over and over and this is not even the bloopers alot of work in one movie
This was a great summer movie. The kind you used to get in the 90s. Pure escapist fun. Can't believe it didn't do as well as Transformers at the domestic box office. Oh, and Tom Cruise knows no fear. Then again he climbed the top of the tallest building on the planet.
One of the best films ever made.
most underrated movie of the year!
Easily one of the best movies from last decade.
And one of the best sci-fi action flicks overall.
I've seen it many times. And every time it feels fresh.
This looked so much fun to shoot!
How I wish I watched this on big screen. This is such a great movie. With Emily Blunt makes it worth watching as well.
Saw this in theaters and this was one of the best action films I had seen in a while
Perfect sci-fi movie, loved it.
He does many of his own stunts. That's crazy
All stunts
one of the best movies ive ever seen. Seeing this just made me want to go rewatch it. Incredible
Being an extra in this movie was probably epic.
This is an awesome film, so that's why it looked so good! Not so much CGI, felt much more real.
best movie i have seen in a while.
Surprisingly good movie. I thought it would be just some random crap like pretty much everything that gets released these days. Decent movie.
Best movie in the century. I have watched tenth time and still will watch it over and over avain.
Private cage, you are going in the wrong way. you're gonna miss your moment.
such an awesome movie, great Actors, love the way the made it look real ,could watch it over and over again just like Cage had to wake up over and over again.
2:12 "Hey Steve, I know you don't like Tom Cruise, but if you push that button too early, he's toast" "U crazy? He danced to Ludacris in that exo-suit last night, he's alright"
My GOD, so that's why it looks so realistic - so many practical effects!
Tom cruise makes hardwork look fun
Say what you will about Cruise's opinions and what not... The man goes to work when he makes movies! the stunts he does are awesome and sometimes he tells the stunt guys to throw him into the wall harder... just look at the last clip here, stunt he did could have easily broken fingers and bruised up his hips legs and arms - the dude is in his mid 50's and still kicking ass in movies.
That's some pretty epic shit!
You guys should check out the manga. I saw the movie in theaters then afterward read the manga and its pretty impressive. The ending left me baffled.
i am getting the manga, some youtube video pointed me top it
amazing stuff
I was crew on that film. Tom was an absolute ball of energy. I think I'm in frame on some of that beach set B roll. Really great film. I watch it regularly. Not many films I do that with.
A very good movie. I'm glad to know it wasn't just shot entirely indoors with green screens like a certain Hobbit trilogy.
dude your hair looks luscious as fuck
TheMegusto LOL
TheMegusto It really is lol thanks
Lolllll, I agree entirely. LOTR gave me such an appreciation for good practical effects!
I wish they'd re-release it so I can see it on the big screen and in 3D. Movies don't run long enough anymore. With the move to digital distribution, it should actually be easier, too.
It was awesome in theatres! I have no idea why it bombed because it was actually really good. A blockbuster with some brains and decent story for once. Isnt that what people have been clamoring for and why they shit all over Bay movies? (deservedly so)... Anyway, I remember going with a buddy of mine the day after it opened and there where like 4 people in the theatre. I was like "what the fuck is going on?" Im not even a Cruise fan, but he was great in this!
sergeantbigmac
"WE WANT SUBSTANCE!"
>deliver substance
"TOO BORING LMAO"
>give mindless action
"NOT DEEP ENOUGH"
Dunno, to be honest.
Agreed espacialy if the movie is good like Mission Impossible 5, Mad Max Fury Road,The Martian and possibly Star Wars The Force Awakens.
I was lucky enough to catch it on IMAX and then a couple more times on the big screen.
TOOOOOM CRUIIIIIIIIIIIIIISE
This is such great BTS! Thanks for sharing. Super cool to see how little cgi is used and how much Tom gets thrown around
3:28 - Hey that explains where the Japanese guy in the gunship at the end comes from, he's from Rita's squad. I remember seeing Masayoshi Haneda in the credits but had no idea who his character was.
David Von Internetsen watch?v=u6GHRzhE5X0 Delete scene Nº 5. Enjoy it. I was wondering the same thing.
Very unique. No CGI. Every good movie
I don't even know why I am watching this. I haven't even seen the movie but I've heard that it's good. Looks awesome from what I can see!
3:50 are we really gonna ignore the fact the emily was just levitating like it’s nothing😄
loved edge of tomorrow!
The movie was amazing, just a bit of a shame it didn't cash in more at the box office.
this is better then any trailer i saw about this movies
I watched this movie 4 times!
I watched this movie twice! Live die repeat!
They should have shown some of this action in the trailers. I had no interest in seeing this when I saw the trailers. These brief clips look awesome though and definitely make me want to see it now.
One of the most surprising and best movies of the year. Go see it.
I agree ***** this was surprisingly enjoyable escapism SciFy. I liked the insinuation at the end, that he wrested control of time from the Aliens.
Konyak0 It's adapted from a novel (I gues, I just red the manga) wich is very short but ultra intensiv. As it is paper stuff I would easily say the "That's way better". But hey, It's an adaption and that's a cool one, I shouldn't compare thos two.
I loved the movie!
I really enjoyed this movie too, it's a damn shame it didn't do better in ticket sales. I think had they chosen a better name for the movie it may have done better.
I thought the last scene was CGI, the one that Cruise rolls of a block of stone in to the ground.
Cudos for him, this was not a case of casting a famous actor for a role just because he is famous. Great movie.
GREAT MOVIE
I've watched this movie so many times
This movie is amazing and it is great to see these behind the scenes. Kudos to Tom Cruise, because he hardly use a stunt guy and Emily Blunt because she was pregnant. Those scenes were risky.
Emily blunt was not pregnant no she was only pregnant on the recordings of into the woods and the girl in the train,
That's just awesome! It's why I love film!
I always tot it's just another typical hollywood action, until i fin watching it, it's one of the most underrated film ever!
I thought the movie was thoroughly enjoyable. I'd watch it a second time but I feel like I already did.
Really want to rewatch this now...
Well, this explains why I liked this movie so much....
I really want one of those exoskeletons badly. It doesn't need to function, I just want to wear it all day every day. Walking down the grocery isle would be the best thing ever in that thing.
Tom Cruise always does his stunts now. It's part of his contract. He refuses it any other way. I admire him for it.
He is like the Jackie Chan of USA.
It's more impressive when you consider his age. He's almost 60 now.
i love the self-discipline commitment this implies
>i dont fake, i push my body to the best of its ability, i'm not roger moore
Can I get one of these suits somewhere?
Dude😂
What a gorgeous smile on Emily's face at minute 1,22 as ends the take and knows that it went well!
I have chills....
Awesome Movie Tom Cruise Kills it Again
Wow! totally thought that roll at the end was CGI. Nicely done, Tom!
Great they used practical effects for most of the suits they wore. They look great!
Now I why they're not releasing the sequel. The budget this movie needs is massive
He gets his power back at the end
3:00 could you imagine being that guy and having to do that 50 times?
Its a doll 😒
+Nathan Drake SO he said IMAGINE what it WOULD be like to do that.
Shawn Ception He said imagine BEING that guy.
Stop trying to be a smartass
Nathan Drake Tom cruise actually did that you would see if it was a doll if they did that.
Shawn Ception what?
RIP Bill Paxton. He was fantastic in this movie!
..эх..экстремально как,-все похудели наверное..И..Очень зрелищно..Молодцы!!..
Tom and Emily were perfect, yes. But Bill Paxton was also perfect in this role - glad he got this one in and he deserves a nod for it.
Mad Eye Moody though... well look man - what the hell are you doing in the muggle world???
This makes the movie even better!
It's insane to see how many people work on a film!
i love this movie, i watched it many times
Me too
Emily blunt cried a lot 💔😭, she felt back pain
It is amazing what we can do with practical effects.
This movie rocked!!
ole y ole esos especialistas de cine!
awesome movie!
This movie is lack of cgi🤣its too pure😘
OMG That last one!
Fucking impressive
Damn those suits are nice, its good to see a practical set for once in an age of CGI
i came here to see how they made the suits in CGI , but my jaw dropped that they were all built physically
Acting requires a lot of skill, looking at this I'm like "This is so silly what are you doing pretending to be some else and doing things that aren't happening" when you act now matter how silly you know it to be, you just gotta leave that train of thought at the door and go to work
Ha dayyyum.. Emily doing her own stunts..
