Always loved Oba . I wanted him to join Arsenal after his team got relegated. It just shows that managers don't know everything as he was a perfect match for the style of football Arsenal played. Quick movement ,one touch passing but lacked a player with Oba's reaction speed in and around the box to finish off attacks. He was the perfect match ,plus he added the ability to dribble at teams which made him even more valuable. I honestly believe if Arsenal would have gotten him ,they would have went on another run of titles wins.
When I first started watching mls I was a sounder’s fan because I live in Washington. I grew up watching this guy score after score and what a great and speedy player he was. I knew him from the duo of Clint Dempsey and obafemi martins and I remember in 2014 obafemi scored so many. What a great player.
Kinda sucks that you yanks only get to see players past their prime.. But its good that the level of competition out there is so poor that players like Beckham, Martins and Henry had such a massive impact for the teams they played for.
