I mean I admit other anime’s don’t give you the feeling that AOT does, but there are other anime’s that will have you hooked, and there are other anime that can convert a hater into a lover. I just don’t think any other anime can do it like AOT does it.
Ya’ll should check out solo leveling next, it’s fire and had me as hooked at AOT. That and death note.
I highly recommend getting a moderator to check the comments for spoilers because people will try to spoil you in any way possible. They might give you explicit spoilers, "hints" to lead you to answers, ask you specific questions about the anime, confirm/deny your theories or predictions, etc. These comments are completely unnecessary and are just there to try and spoil the show for you. Get all your info only from the anime, don't look for answers about the anime in the comments. If you're confused or don't really understand something, just think about it and try and make theories or predictions. Again, there will be people who try to answer your questions or confirm/deny your theories and predictions which just spoils you. It just doesn't make sense when you get answers or info from the comments instead of the anime itself. So getting a moderator that can filter out even the most subtle spoilers is very important and you won't have to worry about spoilers if the moderator is actually good. Other than spoilers in the comments, try not to search anything about the anime up because you'll get spoilers. Attack on Titan thumbnails on youtube can also contain heavy spoilers. Basically, try to stay away from anything attack on titan related other than the anime itself.

I’m telling you this anime. It’s not just an anime. Like there’s so much depth to every detail and each character. It’s much more than any shows I’ve watched or anime. If I could erase my memory to rewatch and re experience it I would. Enjoy you both are in this amazing journey.

Nice to see new people reacting to this show! You're definitely not gonna be disappointed. As others suggested, it'd be good to have some moderators so you guys won't be spoiled. People might even spoil unintentionally, it's honestly pretty easy to slip up lol... Every tiny detail matters in this show so much, it's the most masterful foreshadowing I've seen in my life so you should try to keep everything in mind! Honestly I really wish I could forget this show just so I could rewatch again and try to theorize and everything. Also, despite the huge ass titans,this is an extremely realistic show that has a ton of complex characters. I hope you guys will appreciate it because it's easy to just criticize when characters aren't perfect or do something dumb, but all the characters in this show feel very human and I think even if you don't agree with a characters way of thinking or with their actions, you can almost always at least understand why they're the way they are. That's one thing I seriously love about this show. For example Hannes running away, you can definitely criticize him for being lazy and not training and running away instead of saving Carla, but it was probably the right decision, I mean could you guys imagine him taking down that titan? At least he saved 3 of the 4 of them instead of everybody dying. Also, the titans have NEVER broken the gate like this before and these people have also never seen huge titans like the one that did it now, so I do understand why people had a sense of security and didn't feel the need to try too hard to be ready for battle. Also, that moment of Carla begging him to save the kids and leave her, but then covering her mouth as she sobs "Don't go" is also such a powerful moment and a great example of the brutal humanity of this show.
Also, just a tip - you guys seemed to have missed the mid-episode card because you were talking, so this is just a heads up that it's probably good to pay attention to it in the future because it either has useful information that can help you understand this world better, or just offers some fun facts or cool stuff about how things work here. I know they don't always translate those cards in the episode but you can find them online easily so keep that in mind, I think they're worth checking out! For example, the one you missed teaches you about the structure of the 3 walls and about the size of this whole area that humans live in.
Also, another thing: It's completely fine to pause the episode if you guys wanna discuss something! I doubt anybody will mind since we want you guys to get the full experience, and it's really easy to miss stuff if you're not paying attention since all the little things matter in this show, so feel free to just pause for a moment whenever you want, instead of accidentally talking over an important part. :)

I love how the show describes it as "humiliating" and not just dumbed down to "scary" it evokes so much emotion

It feels so nostalgic, 9 years ago, teen me was traumatized as well. Almost a decade later, I thank my younger self for watching this goat anime because it was my best decision.
I would recommend to not talk and make jokes all the time and watch every detail of the anime cause later on you will miss out on the main scenes and information given when they are revealed later as well.

Hey, since you're new to this anime, here are a few tips you could find helpful!
1. Watch as much as possible without talking. Having full blown what-if conversations are great and a big essence of the show, but please try to do that after the episode!
2. As you can probably tell, the tone of the show is very serious. It does not do silly gags, and in general relies heavily on building a bond between the characters and viewers. Treating the characters as actual humans who you empathize with is one of the key experiences of watching reactions!
3. There will be a lot of foreshadowing in this show, so taking quick notes or reading the info cards can go a long way!
4. Do not watch any previews. Watch only till the "To be continued..." shows up.

@@RaphAngy yes I recommend since you guys started pretty heavy on violence and action I recommend horror and mystery genre like paraysyte the maximum and and promise neverland these and if your up to it I recommend erased it’s really good these three anime are really good and not to slow if ur up to it I recommend it’s kinda older but you can watch in your free time but if you want to post it I recommend Guyver it’s a darker anime very unforgiving and will have you looking for more you can find the episodes on RUclips
