Im sorry how is she genius? This is a real question. Ive listened to her stuff and i cant distinguish her vocals from her music. Wat shes saying iv got no damn clue. So what genius about that?
She talks fast but its not annoying and understandable. Lots of knowledge
bro thats not becuase she is fast that because she is kinda nervous so she would do this body language and it seems like she is fast(Body langauge Expert here :) )
Speed is a helluva drug! If you do it long enough it has permanent effects.
Its because she's nervous and it sounds like she has a speech impediment too. You don't really hear it if she speaks fast. I've noticed people with speech impediments will either not talk or limit what they say or talk a lot but very fast to hide it.
She is on drugs or anxious

Great to hear Grimes acknowledging Kate Bush & Trent Reznor for their hands-on studio approach. Engineering your own tracks gives you more artistic control. But it's about more than just control per se. It's about manifesting your vision in the exact way you imagined it. You can't always do that if someone else is mixing your tracks. Unless you can afford to shell out for endless revisions... which are quite costly.

I really appreciate these older clips. She just seems so honest and naturally compelling… maybe a bit amped up but also quite grounded in the work. Some of the newer sound bites strike me as off kilter. I never know if maybe given a fuller context the more recent bits wouldn’t sound quite so in a bubble.

To the people saying she's not on drugs here... look at any other interview, and her demeanor in those interviews are calm and non-twitchy. She is 100 percent on something in this video, like, she's talking fast, rubbing herself, and in the close-ups her eyes are dilated. Which is sad, but hopefully she's laying off that stuff now.
