I read from a newspaper that Ayala Land purchased the now part of former US military base for 34K per Sqm and developed it into BGC the name given by the developer to the area. BGC now serves as CBD of Taguig City.

That is not true. Geography is defined by law, no matter what a bunch of uneducated people think or say. NCR (formerly, "Metro Manila") is based on PD 894 / 1396. "Manila" is defined by its charter, RA 409. "Manila" refers only to the capital city on the west coast of NCR. Everything beyond it (e.g. Pasay, Makati, Caloocan etc.) is NOT manila anymore. Do you live in NCR (other than in Manila)? Go to a store and buy something. And then read your receipt. Does it say "Manila" ? No? Exactly. Because you are not in Manila.
Taguig is part of Metro Manila so it is correct to say it is in Manila. It only gets wrong if it's referred to as Manila City. Like when asked from abroad what part of Ph a Filipino comes from, they say Manila, not Caloocan City.
When you go to any parts of metro manila from Mindanao and Visayas you said manila ...the comment forget it BCOZ he is not in good mood,,, metro manila called as manila in short.
