Watch this video as I’m on my Peloton trying to get on of Dopey Training in and once y’all hit mile 24 I started to choked up and teary eyed thinking about how in less than 150 days I will be attempting my first full marathon and Dopey. Great motivational video!

Wow very inspiring. I am running in the Star Wars one in April at 68 yrs young but just the 5K though. I did the 5K Disney Princess Run a week ago.
We admire young folks like yourself in these races. Hoping the storm troopers and Vader leave you alone! Congrats on the Princess 5k and good luck in April!

Not sure how I'm just finding this video. This is exactly what I needed tonight. Great editing, great music, outstanding production that really captures the spirit of the events. I'm a 4 time WDW marathoner and a 1 time Dopey finisher (2020). I ran in the last of the four races in this video. 2021 was supposed to be Dopey number 2 for me, but then, of course... covid came calling. By the end of this video I was balling my eyes out, missing marathon weekend this year, missing the crowds, the characters, the signs and the completely random strangers who appear to be genuinely, legitimately proud of you, cheering you on along the way. Thank you so much for making this. I needed a dose of this tonight.

Dear bigskybs, What am INCREDIBLE video!! You guys are AMAZING!! I ran the Dopey as well,,,I videoed it as well,,,but you captured the heart and soul of the event so perfectly!! I am simply blown away by the result!! It actually brings tears to my eyes EVERY time I watch it!!! I have run many Disney Races, but this video really brings it all home!!! congratulations guys, love your videos, really inspiring. I've started training for my Dopey challenge which I intend to do for my 50th in 2022... a way off but i can't wait :-D keep making the videos !! xx
What a great goal for your 50th! If you start training now, you'll be set for 2022 and will have a ton of fun. Your race is the victory lap, celebrating the completion of your training!

COVID Rn I’ve run 1 mile every day since May1 . I watch the dopey challenge when I run . I’m short 4 ‘9 ‘’ But I hope to do a Disney run one day 😍

@@patriciabonnervilas7278 I am running the Virtual Dopey with Team in Training I was really hoping to return to Disney World but things happen. At least the money I raised for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society will make it worth it. This was supposed to be my last Dopey but I will probably do it one more time in the future because I want to back to Disney.

Hey Big Sky Bibs!!!,,,I know you won't remember me,,,but I finally saw you guys fairly late in the Marathon this year!!!,,,at a banana stop I saw you and said hi,,,I have to say how inspirational you last year Dopey Challenge video was I told you then how emotional it was to me ,,,and you responded saying how great it was to have a man moved to tears by your AMAZING video,,,you guys are so inspirational,,,your videos are INCREDIBLE!!! Thamks for your kind comment. We remember you....right outside Blizzard Beach! Glad to hear they Inspire you....it means a lot to us that we can inspire others. We're getting close to finishing a 2020 video, but we take a lot of time to make it the best we can. 2021 is likely for us.

Wow. Absolutely fantastic video! Really captures the entire race weekend! And I am so jealous of your picture with Bowler Hat Guy! I ran the marathon as well and when I went through there it was still dark and my picture ended up blurry. You guys are really luck to be able to run Dopey with each other. Curious as to what training plan you use, though. The woman especially seems like she had a lot of energy left at the end of the race.
Thanks for the kind words! Bummer about Bowler Hat Guy...maybe next year! We use Jeff Galloway for distance recommendations. We only walk through water stops (or characters). I refer to my wife as the speed boat, and I'm the anchor. She's faster than me so usually has some extra energy at the end. Hauling around a 2 lb camera didn't slow her down as much as I thought - time for a bigger camera!
This is the second time that I watched this recap. Such an amazing video! I love the way you captured the atmoshere, with some very unique angles. (Placing the camera on the ground and film the runners, wow!) I did my first Dopey this year, and that lyrics of the last scene of Happily Ever After is just perfect. I will be back for Dopey #2 next year!

Absolutely love this video…doing my 2nd Dopey January ‘22, fingers crossed….how did you get the soundtrack music from the fireworks show? I love listening to it on my runs but have to pull up RUclips and play fireworks videos to get it.

This is awesome, thanks! I'm gong to sign up for the 2021 marathon but I was wondering, about how long are the wait times for more rare characters (like Goob)?
It's all about coral placement and keeping ahead of the pack. The good news is you have about 11 months to submit get a POT for 2021. Based on that time, you'll be placed in a coral. There are plenty of characters, and lines might vary. When we saw Goob, we were able to walk right up to him!

Historically, we've run about 1 Disney race every year, but not always Marathon Weekend. We do plan on being there in 2020 though!

Thanks for letting us know. It's a copyright issue. Money for songs we use go to the copyright holders, which means they control if our videos work or not. We have a few options and will try to get it fixed.
