Watercolor Painting in Tones like Georgia O'Keeffe-

Here's a few extra tips for when you're teaching your students to paint using tones (one color mixed with white or black). I used watercolors here but these same ideas work with any medium.
This is similar to the exercise of creating a value scale and it's one of the first things I do when I pick up any new art supply. Sometimes artists create a value scale simply by watering the color down with water or fillers (never adding white or black).
