    I love this series of tutorials inspired by famous artists. It's a great way to learn about the artists and try their painting styles.

    wow! love this one Sarah. O'Keeffe is one of my absolute favourite artists - she enjoyed the freedom of her art, something that was very scandelous in her time, in her early days. I think I will really enjoy this one! Thanks Sarah!

    FYI...something I've realized with this masters series, is it's helping me to explore painting styles in search of my own painting style.🥰

    What a fantastic lesson, Sarah ... Thank you!! Loved hearing more about Georgia O'Keefe, abstraction, letting go of viewers' impressions, color mixing, values and more. I am feeling sooooo inspired to try this during my beginner watercolor 100 day project. It is beautiful!!

    I love this philosophy as well. I am obviously new, I didn’t know about liquid watercolor.

    • @LetsMakeArt
      @LetsMakeArt  2 года назад

      Liquid watercolors are not as common as tube or pan paints, this is a no judgement zone.

    Definitely in the mood to paint something similar - it's rainy and stormy here outside today, so I feel like painting something colorful on a biiig sheet of watercolor paper. 🥰

    A suggestion for keeping your paints on the side is to use corking And make sections where the colors would be so they don’t mix then you could bring it forward and mix it in the middle of the pallet

    This was very fun. Question: how do you feel about the graphite or pencil lines showing up through the paint? I've heard different things from different people - some say no lines - some say they don't mind the lines in their work.

    • @LetsMakeArt
      @LetsMakeArt  2 года назад

      Sarah advises pressing lightly so your lines do not show through quite as much. As you said some people do not mind it but for those that do knowing the transparent nature of watercolor you can keep your lines light so they do not jump out at you, or even use watercolor pencils so they disappear.

    Very pretty but how do I know what you’re painting with? Is it liquid watercolor? Ink?

    • @jessicaneff5928
      @jessicaneff5928 2 года назад

      Sarah uses liquid paints for her tutorials. They're an in-house paint curated by LMA (Let's Make Art) under the brand "Dandelion Paint Company". You can always use whatever paints you're comfortable with, though. I use tubes and pans.
