Thank you for the advice. Agree with you. Also turn 6 I can get on accelerator earlier and let it push wide a bit off track also. I have long way to go but I enjoy every step.
yellowsparks andy if u look hard u will notice I was having issues, meth was spraying too much up top and causing a fuel cut. Had to run low boost that day. I’m guessing about 550whp

Hmm was about 1.9-2.0bar back then if I'm not wrong. So long ago! had issue with my meth injection so i was lower boost from what I remember. my new setup and turbo/enine is 2.4bar max (but yet to run such high boost lol). back then I was max 2.3bar boost on that setup.
@@robevox586 my car will get around 560whp on 2.2bar boost. 660whp 2.5bar boost. This is with water meth. But in sepang track i tried 2.0 bar boost 460whp. Are u gonna use 2.3 bar at sepang track?
@@Afnperformance what turbo are you running? What dyno was that on? As long as you run direct port methanol injection then you can run what ever boost you like! Do not run high boost on only one meth jet pre throttle. Yes I was running 2.4bar on a 8373 BW turbo at track with no issues. But if you are on stock gearbox it will grenade with anything over 460whp (on a mainline dyno)..
@@robevox586 dual nozzle aem wmi. Total 1500cc. Spray before throttle body. Yes stock manual gearbox with cusco twin clutch so far no problem at all. Turbo is custom spec similar to 6466 but it has coolant line. When are u coming to try again here?
@@Afnperformancenice! If you re do your setup I highly recommend 4 port injectors and keep one jet for ore throttle. Can push the setup and run unlimited ignition timing as it just won’t knock. I now consume about 1.5ltr a lap of meth haha that’s on a 9174 BW turbo. Aim to be back at end of year. My new problem is oil pressure getting too low - trying to avoid dry sump. Aim to be back end of year for a much faster time
No this was a cheap HKS stroke kit on stock block. Turbo was EFR 7164 I believe. Water meth injection is the best thing to do for track - direct port injection (4 jets for Evo). Research it.
Haha yes, it threw me off a lot and I believe could have been up to 1 sec :) doesn’t matter, car has completely changed now and really can’t wait to get back and enjoy.
@@b-reel I have a few cars so I don’t drive it much on the road. I drive it to the track about 90% of the time though :) Now it is much improved and even more serious track focus (sequential etc).
Aril STi - Thanks for your contribution, I would not question AIMs GPS data logging. It’s spot on.. Yes, you will notice the time starts at first corner but it also starts at 8sec which is exactly 8sec from the timing bridge... I assure you I’m not trying to cheat timing. Ohh and if it helps you sleep at night - Sepang timing equipment was also on the car and got the same time haha. Once border opens I have made so many changes I’m shooting for a much faster time next.

Does it have straight cut gears ?
No, this was a stock gearbox but I changed 5th gear to a shorter ratio cog from Shep Trans. This was a long time ago, now I’m on sequential 6 speed.

The start of your timing and the stop timing position is not the same..you start at turn one and you stop the timing at front straight 😅😅😅
