Would a 1.5 degree bevel near the tips and tails to aid in turning be ok? Assuming a 1/1 bevel first across all edges.

Yes that will allow the skis to steer and pivot very easily. You could try 0.7 on the body of the ski and 1.0 degrees on the tips/tails first. If you need more then move up. Good luck!

Generally, how long are the diamond discs expected to last?

Good question. It depends on the grit, how often you use it and if you clean it with our oil. Have a look at this video on how to clean them. ruclips.net/video/j5vT10AHqLE/видео.html You should feel it when they are not polishing anymore. Hope that helps.

You mention to scrape the wax off only after a few minutes when the wax is still warm but other materials say to leave the wax on for at least 20-30 minutes. Is there a better way with this as I did try for the first time and it is much easier to get the wax off when the ski is warm.

With Nanox wax you scrape it off when it's still slightly warm. This is a different procedure when compared to other waxes.
