What a wonderful demo. Got this module today and dove straight in. So many fun uses in your video I wouldn’t have thought of. Inverted envelope follower in the 606 is genius. If you’re in the fence about right is get it! Great module.
fantastic demo and tutorial. i came to hear the module, but soon realized i've been patching my folders in rather pedestrian way, processing oscillators and control voltage (my twf is dc coupled), that wavefolded reverb, what an amazing sound. and possibilities for animation are endless. Danny Timbre sounds great. also two inputs and blend control are quite useful.
Bloody hell. I just ordered a bunch of stuff from Thonk yesterday. Guess I'm placing another order today. Been waiting for this to be released for a few months now. Excellent demo as always, Ben!
Seems like a ton of wavefolders are directly based on the 259 (which does make sense of course.) It'd be cool to see someone do a direct sound comparison between a bunch of them
I loved gitarre though the Timbre. I was wondering If one wanted to explore ones favorite Karplus strong patch with versatile Folder like this. Nice Präsentation. Were are my Patch cables?
Nice sound. Two inputs and mix(Blend) under CV will mean a lot of range. 6hp, price is good too. Dannysound rocks, love my EN129...dunno about this module...will have to send the R*S VCM out for it and that sounds great too.
Love the sound of these DannySound, but trying to get hold of one seems difficult (in Europe at least). And, now that I see Tiptop Audio/Buchla's Model 258t is hitting the market........, there's a bit of competition. In the meanwhile, I hope they (DannySound) get themselves organised so we could - if we wished - get hold of their gear.
it's currently DIY only through Thonk. Here bit.ly/timbrethonk I'm not sure if they have planned for wider spread releases but there's good DIY builders around to take kits and build things to order.
I am in the ongoing process for planning my first Eurorack skiff around a complex oscillator. Would it be better to get something like an Instruo CSL or Mindphaser (when it comes out) or the Dannysound combo (Cali, EN129, Timbre) would be equally good or better? (I know that the latter are DIY kits but I am willing to try soldering)
Looks like it was parallel processing. If you listen carefully, the wide sound of mutable rings and reverb remains untouched, while you start hear wavefolding effect right in the middle of stereo image.

cheers for the kind word Steve, an envelope follower (and other utilities of course) are always useful. Glad you're enjoying Timbre too.
That wave folding of the reverb sounded amazing! Such a cool effect. This module got bumped to the top of my list now. Brilliant demo as always!
LOVE the tip on wavefolding reverb!

First time hearing dannysound modules. Loving the sounds coming out of a smaller hp footprint!
Oh excellent news. I love Danny's VCO's so this is great to discover! Thanks Uncle DivKid!

Bill & Ted voice "EXxxx-cell-EnnnnT !!!!"
Cool, thank you DK, I've been holding a spot for this module and now that I've heard it I'm glad I did.

That kick and hats.... just leave it there, I'm happy :)

i'm thinking, since TTA still hasn't mentioned doing a "259t" in the future,
a DS Timbre would be a perfect companion for the 258t dual osc.

Miltos Schimatariotis Danny of course
How did you get stereo on the reverb patch ? Isnt the module mono ?
Thanx for great vid as always

great vid, loving Divv o)))
sounds absolutely insanely thick. what VCA are you running this into?
DivkidVideo can you demonstrate all of your wave folding Modules in one video?
What kind of reverb did you use?
What's the reverb you're using on the drums at 15:05?
might have been the Music Thing Modular Spring v2. Whatever it was it was ducked against the kick drum to make it pump.
'Div O)))' .... HA !!!! [Every time I see 'SunnO)))', all I can think of is the Amps and Speakers!]
Need!
LOL @ "ambient drummerless doom-metal."
