Thank you for this video, you answered a lot of questions I didn’t even know I had. My hair is only 6 months post buzz cut but I’ve been noticing a lot of breakage lately. Now I’m thinking it might be the chlorine from my weekly swims, plus I live in an area with very hard water. So I’ll be investing in a chelating shampoo, hopefully that’ll help. Thanks again for your videos, your hands are truly blessed!
Another great video demo and style. Her hair is similar to mine, she has medium to low density, I have medium to high density. My hair is fine, and it appears high porosity (I know that it does not matter). The reason I mentioned this is because I have to put a conditioning cap on my head after I get out of the shower to preserve the moisture because it dries very fast. This enables me to style my hair. Also, I detangle in a similar fashion except I do not utilize tools just my fingers of which I've gotten use to.
29:14 this is true. Washngo for loose textures is a great go-to style, but for the same people twists could be damaging as they dont last long and they probably have to keep manipulating or use yels and rubber bands to keep it in place. Twist outs for them are hard to achieve unless they do it in large sections, which can be hard to so on short hair.
Meanwhile twists are best for tight textures, can easily be left in, AND converted to a twist out. Everyone's hair is different and needs different things to thrive and thats okay 🤗

Btw, would they wash the hair with the style still installed or only after they take it down.
They need to take it down and you have to rinse the conditioner out THOROUGHLY. if you notice I was rinsing for quite some time
@AfrikanHairGod yeah, I see even with shampoo it works. I prefer to unravel all my twists with shampoo, though, to make sure i really get in there and I'm so paranoid about leaving even a lick of shampoo behind. But will definitely try this with conditioner after I detangle.
