Beverly Hills has been a sundown town for a long time. If you’re not familiar with the term sundown town, it just means if you’re of a darker hue you need to leave town by sundown. An elderly black woman at my parent’s church confirmed this. She said black maids and butlers used to work in those mansions, but they were out of there by nighttime
And they say it's just the South?? Beverly Hills is just a Sundow town with a Gucci Belt..
“Next time don’t change the narrative..” WTF?! You search this man and call more cops to the scene for jaywalking...while black!! That IS the narrative!! 😡
This happen to many time I'm tired of seeing these videos it's time for change
If you detain someone without searching their body, they can present a threat to the officers by using such weapons, ( if they had it ) on their body. That is why they are searching for it on him, while they run his license. Its for safety not because of a profiling. When you detain someone, of any race, you automatically pat them down for any weapons. This is standard procedure. When you get pulled over during a traffic stop,, they ask you for license and registration.. they also ask if you have any weapons in the vehicle. Then they go back and run your license and plates. Stop trying to change the narrative when it was really about j-walking, he shouldn't even be doing that in the first place.

And who the heck ask for ID for jaywalking?
@Muslims are terrorist He wasn't asking for an ID to give him a ticket, they were asking to see if he had any warrents. They can ask you for your ID at any time but you only have to show it to them if you actually commit a crime, usually when they pull you over for speeding and need to show ID for proof of ownership and insurance. Otherwise you can chose to decline. But it doesn't mean they are going to give you a ticket; they are usually checking to see if you're not wanted for something more serious. But to ask for an ID for jaywalking. Come on now. They just wanted to check his background to see if he has a history of illegal activity or if he had a warrent simply because he "looked suspicious". I have never hear someone actually getting stop for jaywalking. Let alone being asked for ID
@Muslims are terrorist They weren't about to give him not ticket. Here in the U.S. cops ask for ID everytime they stop you for simply ooking suspicious. Even when they have nothing on you to arrest you for, they just want to see if you are up to trouble by looking at your record and seeing have a warrent for your arrest. I LITERALLY just told you that in my last comment. Here that is called "racial profiling" because there is more black people who get stopped for no reason than white people. The real reason they stopped him wasnt because he was jaywalking, they stopped him because he looked suspecious. No one really gets tickets for jaywalking here. Normally he would have got a warning and been sent on his way. But it was clear they just wanted a reason to look at his ID to see if he was a criminal. More than likely they probally received a call form local store saying he looks like he is up to no good. It is profiling.

that is a question asking if he had his identification, the fact that this guy interpreted it as wanting to see it is his own fault not the cops. I agree this whole thing seems a bit excessive without any background information such as whether they were looking for a thief in the area and all they had to go on was he’s black, that kind of thing happens a lot. But the phrasing was specifically designed to ask if he had identification on him or not. It’s not a trap to ask the guy something and he takes it the wrong way. Like I said, interact with real human beings in person and then you can pretend to be an expert as much as you want
When cops are so fearful of a random black man in a tye dye shirt and a Versace bag that they have to pat him down, tell him not to dig in his pockets, not use his phone to "call for backup," and even admit they were going to talk to him before he jaywalked... it's a sign you are too scared or suspicious to be in a police uniform.
they are scared of black people living with dignity
They gave him a perfect explanation why they stopped him and asked him multiple times if its okay for him to get patted down...i dont really see a problem here
@Robin Smedberg they didnt think that he was armed. They just made sure that he wasnt. You know, in the US, many people are armed
@@maurizioarrivabene8182 why would u get a body search for jay walking makes no sense
@@maurizioarrivabene8182 obviously they did think he might be armed because after he asked him to get his ID, he stopped him for reaching for it and then asked him if he had any weapons on him. Then after he was told there was no weapons he asked to pat him down still
Also he was nervous because the cop was clearly nervous. Won't even let the man reach into his pocket to grab an ID that you asked for....
I swear if I lived in the USA I would be a cop serial killer
The fact that the cops didn’t issue him with a ticket just goes to show that wasn’t the real reason they stopped him.
You get a ticket for jaywalking? wow

I also went to school here and know the cops here. They DO stop for jay walking, along with other stupid laws because they “need to give out tickets”. They use to target minors at the high school growing up, I don’t know if they still do. The part of this that is wrong is the fact they decided to search him which isn’t what they would do to someone else.
