If you have not tried Mighty Hoops for your embroidery machine, now is the time to check them out - they are a real lifesaver! Part 2 at the machine released tomorrow.
I love my mighty hoops. I purchased the large and small hooping stations and 3 hoops during a special Brother PAS store was having at the ISS trade show. Best purchase I made a couple of years ago! It is an investment but a worth while one!
another great thing about these hoops that a lot of people don't know.. you can buy different arms for the hoops for different multi needle machines. Because I have a 10 needle, a Melco Amaya 16 needle and a 15 needle 1501c they all use different arms.. I can buy one magna hoop and extra arms to change them out to use on my other machines.. I love how interchangeable they are.
I get hoop burn even with regular hoops.. Steam is a great remedy and what we should do when this happens no matter what hoop we use. Some people will float because they don't want hoop burns but then they are taking a chance of the embroidery turning out poorly
I am a new owner of a Brother 1055x and a 5.5 and 8 x9 mighty hoop. However when I move a design that should fit in the mighty hoop from PE Design 11 all I get is the message you mentioned about needing a larger hoop.??
Love your video's! I just started embroidery. I have a Brother PR1050x machine and purchased the mighty hoops. I was using the 8x13 mighty hoop and had verified it was the right one for the machine I have. I seemed to have difficulty with my bobbin. The machine kept stopping with the light to check upper thread and bobbin. Probably around 20 times. I would check both and all was fine. In fact I even took out the bobbin and put it back in. There was also a time when the machine sounded like there was a strain on the motor? I wondered if the magnetic component in the hoop some how effects the magnetic component of the bobbin? I did email Mighty Hoops last night and hope to hear soon what they suggest. Afterwards I used a regular Brother Hoop and stitched out the same pattern and it worked without any stop or issues without doing any maintenance or changing thread or bobbin. Just was curious what your thoughts would be?
have you tried a different type of bobbin? I don't use the magnetic bobbins, I use the cardboard ones or I wind my own with the bobbin winder accessory - I don't have any issues like this. Let me know, I am curious.
Got your message. I did try a new bobbin, also changed the type of material and it worked without any issues. Thanks for your recommendation and thank youfor your great video's!
Have you had any issues with the mighty hoops dipping when it moves horizontally during scans and then hitting the needle plate on its way back to center?
Thank you for sharing the videos. I have a question. I have a problem when I use an 8x9 mightyhoop. I use cutaway stabilizer and when I use it for the embroidery machine, the side with the stabilizer is being rubbed back and forth against the machine, which causes it to fray and almost rip. I don't have this problem when I use a 7 by 7 mightyhoop, though. Do you have any advice?
Yes it is...but the hoops are safe to use on the arms, they are far enough away from any components. Mighty hoops have been around for years without any issues.

Yes, they are certainly worth it. I have 4 of them, they are so easy to use.

ah, that is cool too! That makes the hoops even more useful! Thanks Dona!
Thanks Sue. I was wondering how these hoops work!
I got mine a week ago and I love it. It did however leave hoop burns on black t shirts. I had to spray and steam to get rid of them.

Hi Robin, i just ordered 8x13 for my 10 needle machine, is yours running ok with mighty hoops now, Elaine

no, not yet. We do use the tables for the machines to help support the mighty hoops and that helps.
Very informative. Thank you for sharing! Liked and Subscribed. 👍
Awesome, thank you!
