Hi! Due to Fabric drawing while stitching, you do have to move the 2nd section up in your your digitizing software, or just on the screen of the machine. To see how much you would need to move it up, you could digitize 2 identical horizontal basting lines (5 or 10 mm stitch length) where the 2 objects should meet...1 at the end of the first part, and 1 at the beginning of the 2nd part, Stitch the first line as your last object of the 1st design. Turn the hoop around. Then, lock the needle down, and trace the 2nd line with your FF button on your machine, Or just stitch it out since it is just a basting stitch.. And then you will see the gap. Measure it, and then move that 2nd design up that many mm, or until that 2nd line traces completely in sync with the first line. Feel free to write me anytime for any input or help. I’m working on a new video using the jumbo hop. Actually, I have Ben able to use the hoop successfully several times since the video. Keep an eye out for the latest one.☺️
You did an excellent job, you go girl ! Thank you for the video, it was very helpful. I would email embrilliance first and see what they have to say, maybe there is a step that needs to change when using different machines … then I would call Brother support to see how they can help you too, maybe your camera needs a simple adjustment, or a software update. I believe between both companies you should get an answer or at least a better understanding as to why the snowman is not being pickup. The jacket looks beautiful.
I had the same problem several times as you with the snomen. My machine did not recognize it, so after several tries, I did like you, I turned off the machine. I'm glad to see that it's not just me who has thread breakage issues with the machine. At the moment I have the Stellaire and I thought that by buying the professional PR it would happen less, but I realize that you also have problems… I find it terribly annoying for machines that cost so much and that are professional. Otherwise I didn't quite understand. For this Jumbo 14x14 hoop, you say that it must be made in 2 parts and that you must have the B arm. I have just ordered the Brother 1055X and there is no B arm provided. Should I buy it separately? For the design, you say that you separated it in the computer with your software. It means that if you don't have software, you can't embroider on this large frame, because the machine doesn't recognize it and can't make such a large pattern. Did I understand right ? Your pattern is really too beautiful. I hope you managed to hide the error because really I love your pattern. Well done ! I hope you will answer me because I go through the translator because I am French.
I am so sorry that I didn't reply to your question/comment a year ago. if you've followed me at all you know I've been off and on my channel due to moving and illness. Hopefully you have resolved your issues and have been able to use your Brother PR1055X appropriately. If not, then I'll let you know (and I have a video showing me having much more success)Yes, you must split your design using a software (I use Embrilliance Enthusiast). The jumbo 14x14 hoop must be flipped once you make it to the halfway point. And yes, I have been able to get the snowman recognized. (It still fails occasionally, but I believe that's user's error (namely me). Good luck in your endeavors. I hope you will continue to subscribe to my channel and join my live streams every Tuesday night @ 8:00pm EDT.
I do have a quick question... I noticed that your bottom ring is on top. Do the Mighty hoops allow us to use the hoop flipped over like that? Will the hoop be the same distance from the needle either way? If so, this would be a game changer for me when I quilt in the hoop. I usually only see hoops flipped like this, in the single needle machines, like the DIME magnetic hoops. But I am trying to get a magnetic hoop that is elevated and not flat, so that I can use a homemade template in the hoop for hooping more accurately...kind of like the acufil system on the Janome single needles. They have that hard template, and I thought I could maybe get one made using a 3D printer.
So I understood correctly. You can't use the Jumbo if you don't have the software to separate the drawing into 2 parts. The biggest is the 8x13 that I already have but it's too small. Something else. I purchased the complete HOOPMASTER FRAMING STATION kit. But when I look at ruclips.net/video/DEvhJ-YYgtg/видео.html the gentleman explains that you have to return the frame and the bindings when you have a PR Brother. And yet you do put the frame one way or the other in your machine. At hoopmaster they told me that the tab could touch the back of the machine if I put the frame in the wrong way. You put the tab that springs forward, right?
You have slot of patience, I don't think I want to try a split design. But everyone have different wants & needs. You showed a lot of "stick to it" patience. Nicely done. Also I've commented on other videos & it shows my husbands name, don't know how that worked but its ok. My name is Sheik King not Terry.. Looking to all your videos. Excellent job on all of them. I've learned a lot.
Thank you, I’m glad you are getting usefulness from my videos. The jacket was a birthday gift for my daughter therefore, I was determined to make it work. Plus, I do enjoy making large jacket back designs so I will keep trying until I master that skill. Stay tuned, another split design video will be coming soon. 😊

I will definitively do another one soon because I love doing jacket backs and I have a couple more I want to do. Stay tune. I hope you are planning to participate in my live stream on Tuesday, 3/14 at 8:00p EST.☺️
Very nice video and design. I am thinking if you rotated the design 90 degrees the software, then you could make the head one half and the writing in the other, and the gap inbetween is the split
Please, can you show how to stipple only on this machine within the jumbo hoop. Please can you explain how to set up the design for using the jumbo hoop. Showing what to do to create the design, which is split design.
I’m not really sure of your questions. However, I was determined to complete the project as it was for a gift, as well I wanted to complete the video. I will be doing another jumbo hoop video using the Brother PE design 11 software specifically designed for using the jumbo hoops. Hopefully, it will work without any issues. Stay tune and please subscribe. Ty ☺️
You call Mighty Hoop ( google to get the number or contact Cathy Haug on Facebook)and tell them what machine you have and they will sell you the correct bracket for your machine if you are switching from another machine to a Brother. I did it. It's simple and not very expensive.
I would like to know for this Jumbo 14x14 frame how much embroidery space is max. I am looking everywhere for the complete list of hoopmaster frames with their dimension. I already have the 7.25 and the 8x13 but I would like a bigger one. I saw that it exists in 13x16 but I don't think it can be put on the 1055X? Thank you for your reply.
The largest mighty hoop that the 1055x will take is the 8x13, unless you get the jumbo hoop 14x14. This hoop has to be rotated in order to use. It does half the design, then rotate to do the other half. Keep in mind, this very important, you must have a software that can split the desired design. Brother uses exclusively the PEDesign 10-11 to accomplish this. However, I have been successful in a less dense design using Embrillance Enthusiast.
Could you have done the design in two steps without splitting the face by rotating the complete design 180 degrees. The split would have been empty space.
Actually the face wasn’t split. It’s a half face. The software automatically split the design. The flipping process has be done exactly as I did it. The challenge I believe, is something between the software program in the machine and how it’s reading the design software from the usb. I have no control over any of that. If I knew how to digitize I might have been able to make some minor adjustments. However, there wasn’t any way of knowing it was going to be an issue until it actually got to the challenging part.
I just thought rotating the design in the software would have meant the split wouldn’t have affected the half face. It would have stitched it and then rotate the hoop to stitch the letters.
@@JANJOHNSON59 I understand your logic, However, the embroidery software did the automatic split as it is programmed to do. Also the hoop would have to turn 180 degrees as you mentioned however it won’t go on to the machine that way because of the location of the brackets. I just have to figure out going forward how to prevent it from happening. Thanks for the idea though☺️
I was told by mighty hoop that this particular jumbo hoop doesn't support this machine. . how has it been working for you? and can you give me the item/bar code number so i can possibly get one too?????
I just called Friday also and was told the same thing!! Im wanting to do a front of a sweatshirt with about a 10.5 circle design. I would love to know this also.
I wasn’t informed when I purchased this hoop that it wouldn’t work on my PR1055X. I was able to do a simple design splitting it with Embrillance Enthusiast software and it worked perfectly. I now own Brother PE Design 11 software. I will do a video using it and see if it makes a difference. I’m convinced it will. I also have a Durkee Jumbo hoop that came with the software and will try it as well.
If you are referring to the jumbo mighty hoop, my answer is YES! I love to stitch out large designs, the bigger the better and I can only do that by using the largest hoop available for my machine. The jumbo mighty hoop or the brother jumbo hoop is a necessity for me. However, it is a trial and error learning curve needed to be successful, which is basically true for all embroidery processes.
@@Sew2WeBeginEmbroidery you will just have to teach me how to split the design in Embrilliance. I’m in the process of stitching out a design on a sweatshirt that isn’t that large but too large lengthwise to stitch on my Pr1055 so I have to stitch it out on my Dream Machine.
I bought mine in Tampa, Florida 2 years ago. @ a SEW N Vac store. You will need to call them and negotiate a deal. The prices change often. I can tell you it was less than 20k, so don't let anyone try to charge you that much unless they've gone up significantly since 2021.
