Hansca I mean the recent hire is from the states and Dennis is from Taiwan if I’m remembering correctly. So it’s not friends and family that he’s hiring. The degradation in videos is pretty subjective. It’s fine if you don’t like the content that they have transitioned into making but I wouldn’t say the quality is worse. The content is just different and honestly the change is very marginal and by that I mean they are still making the old informative ones while pumping out these less time intensive videos to tide us over.

James had the weakest system based on CPU and GPU. Lloyd clearly had the fastest CPU, and that first gen i7(despite a 200 mhz base clock speed advantage) had to compete with a 6th gen i7 equipped with much better IPC and much higher turbo bins in all core load situations. As for GPU, the GTX 465 is easily beaten by the gtx 1060 or any of the AMD graphics card the imac may have been equipped with.

Linus's personal rig was actually pretty good. He was kind of lying when he said his was worse. If memory serves me right, he has a PC that was built into a server rack that had full custom loop water cooling that he had at his house that he was basically playing his games in another room via some thunderbolt and USB cables. Unless that beast got scrapped, he is probably still using it.

Adam Chen I’ve played on the same Mac in windows and Mac OS (CS:GO) and the difference was only 10 FPS on max settings so honestly there isn’t that much of a difference, the biggest issue is game compatibility.
