COHO CAUGHT WITH MY CUSTOM MADE SPINNERS | WEST VANCOUVER BC

Tried to build my own spinners for coho for the very first time, few were good and able to catch coho but many of them were not. Some of my materials got damaged… But it's good to know that some worked...

Hey Wynrick, that is an awesome catch. I am a new subscriber and enjoy your videos, and it is also my first season fishing for coho at ambleside. I was wondering if you can give me some tips on when to fish for coho there? During the morning hours, or do you focus on a low tide? Thanks and keep up the great videos

Out going tide is better ( low tide ) you can use light coloured spinners with or without hoochies, buzz bombs and Tasmanian devil also works great, and even spoons. Main line at least 20 lbs braid, and at least 12 lbs leader line. Thanks for subscribing and tight lines… Good luck.

What pound line you recommend for fishing at Ambleside?

My spinning set up is 20 lbs braid for main and 12 lbs fluorocarbon for lead. But majority of fishermen here using heavier lines for security. ( big fish ) it’s my first coho season here… tight lines
