I’m not sure that I agree with you application of the product. I am currently trying this product and I just used it on one curl. That curl did curl tighter than usual and it has lasted 4 days so far. The rest of my hair is a frizzy mess but that curl has some frizz at the roots but others wise it is still intact, nestled in it’s family and not Friday after the 1/2 in root. I think this should be given another chance and spray it section-by-section as the directions suggest. I know this is an old video but it might help someone else that is looking at the comments.
I find that my hair has to be more wet prior to putting in any product, just seems to work better for me. Towel over my hair for more than like 2 minutes is my enemy!
I just found your channel by looking for reviews on this product. I think you're fab and have gorgeous hair. I'm going to watch some of your other videos ❤
There's no food up here, that's all you care about. Best line ever. So true. Glad you reviewed this product since I am considering purchasing it and it is expensive. Thanks.
this product works good with added priducts i feel you needed to add to keep your curls i really loved the way your hair looked and your layers are beautiful
Thank you SO much for this review! I was just about to purchase this, (My hair is JUST like yours)...I agree, I’ve had the same thing happen, the curls look ok at first, but by the end of the day...idk! I usually use a curling cream...so I will watch some of your other videos!
I am glad you are honest. I do remember all of the videos saying that you must saturate the hair. I am going to try this soon. I had straight hair all my life and, it came in curly after menopause. Then it became straight again. Now, at age 69, it's very curly but frizzy. I hope it helps me. I never know how my hair will turn out when I fix it.
Oh my gosh I had to re-read that a few times, lol. You really went back and forth! In a way that's great b/c you got to experience all hair types, lol! This should help but have you tried creams? They help better for me with the frizzies and no crunch.
Why aren’t you applying it underneath and sectioning your hair like the instructions. I can’t believe how many people don’t follow the instructions. I haven’t even tried it yet. But from the videos I’ve seen you people aren’t applying it according to the directions.
Maybe if you had used the wow shampoo and conditioner fot curly hair the curls may have hold up better with whe dream coat for curls?? Tnank you for your video
Hi! Thanks so much for reviewing this! I'm the one who asked! Lol! So thankful for your honest opinion! I might still try it because I have thinner hair. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again! 😘👍🏼
There is a leave in by them so maybe that would have helped. I'm using it for the first time today. Im air drying it so its still wet. But in thinking I might need a leave in before I use it next time.
As a stylist educated in Color Wow products. The Dream Coat for curls works best when you use the Wow shampoo and conditioner followed by the coconut dream cocktail then spray the dream coat curl on in sections starting at the nape twirling your curl sections as you spray. You must be liberal with this product in each section. Hope you will try this product again .
Good morning. Don’t feel bad my teens are always calling me while filming. Yes Dominique has a great channel. It’s a spray even though it looks like a pump. Your right I would think the same thing if it dried so fast. But your right if it’s very lightweight like water then that is a good thing. I always feel that I like more of a cream base. Keep us posted. Stay fabulous and enjoy your weekend. Aloha 🌺
I have a question I watched you put this on you do know you have to coat every single strand right so you were saying you put a lot on but there's no such thing as putting too much on with this product. So you literally have to coat from the route to the ends almost like wetting your hair all over again but with the product. I mean I know this video is a little bit older but maybe you could try that again like I said it's from route to tip every single strand evenly and there's touch this as putting too much of this product on so you don't have to be afraid of that I'm just saying because I've seen a lot of people that don't put enough on say about how it throughout the day got a little bit frizzy not tan but a little bit. And lo and behold they were just kind of like spraying it here and there and THEN trying to work it through ... you must saturate and then scrunch or finger twirl and then add your heat at a high setting but low fan. and that should lock it in. I'm just giving you a suggestion because I use the product and I was a little skeptical myself. And I kind of did the same thing I put it in like I would other products but it's different. So saturating the hair holy every single strand almost to the point where it's dripping made a world of difference yes you use a lot of product but at the end of the day it lasts and you can use it as a refresher too. That you don't have to saturate your hair you would just kind of work it through in that instance focusing on the parts that you think need a little help. Just a suggestion. I'm not found anything that works quite like this on the market. My hair a lot like your, but a bit longer. Most things kind of weighs it down so for this to be able to not weigh it down and hold the curls and not have any frizz ... And I live in a very humid state. Anyway just a thought! 🤔
If you use the coconut cocktail from color wow before the dream coat it’ll be better. Or since you blow dry the original dream coat might be a better option since it is heat activated and works as a sealer for your hair
Hi 👋 I'm new here and have subscribed to your channel today! Wow your hair is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this product! I want to try it but my hair is down to my butt and very curly thick coarse & frizzy so because it's expensive I won't get many uses from it. A 200ml bottle of shampoo only gives me 3 washes my hair is that thick and very heavy when it's wet. I can't have a pony tail at the back of my head coz the weight hurts the top of my head. So when I have it up I usually do a big messy bun right on the top of my head! Lol 😆 but when I straighten my hair using amagan oil it makes my hair so soft & shiny but doesn't protect from humidity so starts to frizz up! Oh the inconvenience! 😆 anyway I really enjoyed your video and now looking forward to seeing all your others! Thank you for sharing! God bless you abundantly in all things and much love from me too! 🙏 ♥️🥰😘🤗
Hi Nikkie! Welcome and thank you so much for your sweet words! Wow your hair is really long! It must be beautiful! I get it, I go through conditioner a lot and when my hair was longer (before RUclips) same with products.
So which products work best for your hair because my hair is just like you described and I to need a product like you described in this video kinda like a "cast" for the curls
I just did this review but also did a review on the SHOOK alone over the summer. The Curl Wow Serum with the Curl Wow Shook fix and bundle (I think that's what it's called...sorry it's late lol) ruclips.net/video/J-XxDId2t5k/видео.html
When Dominique did her hair she lifted sections, sprayed and combed each second. She also dried each section from the bottom up . My hair is like yours. I’m buying the vent brush Dominique has.
Good review but I feel like everyone is thinking this is like a one and done spray. You should be stacking products especially with curls like ours. I’d use it with a good leave in and cream or mouse but idk maybe it’s just my 2cents.
I purchased 3 months for that reason because its promoted to replace the needing of creams, serums. I guess I could try the stacking or use the same brand shampoo conditioner as other mentioned. For me, I have similar hair type. Thick curls. Coarse hair. I tried the spray only as instructed. Curls looked nice but did not feel soft and eventually seaweed hair. Lol.
Well I haven't repurchased it. My daughter ended up using it up. I think if I used it first then used another product like a cream I would like it. Maybe I should try that!
My hair texture basically stinks so I pretty much wet my hair daily and for days I don't (it happens) if it isn't going up in a ponytail and the product from the day before kept my hair decent I'll use a little product and run it over the top of my hair and be done. Second day curls just don't look as good on me and to re-wet the hair with a water spray seems pointless to me, might as well wet it fully in shower. I'll use any product really.
Hi, I use the INFINITIPRO BY CONAIR amzn.to/3tdLuXv I was never really picky with my blow dryers but always get Conair, they last longer. This is a good one!
You know, I recently bought that. Someone else mentioned it and that was one of the first real products I used close to 30 years ago! I just keep forgetting to use it pre other products!
Thank you for the info. You mentioned that you are used to using a moisturizing cream which helps to keep your curls more defined. Would you mind sharing what that product is?
Hmm there are so many! Since I do reviews I go through a lot of products but I'll say, the product I posted this week was great! I took it on vacation with me. Its cream based, AG Beach bomb cream. If you want more drug store prices, Aussie Miracle curls was really good, Garnier Style Treat Butter, Marc Anthony Curl Cream With Coconut Oil and Shea Butter to name a few. If you scroll through my videos I have reviews on a lot of products!
I did. This is for curly hair, turned out great at first but my hair is thick coarse and dry so I needed something a little stronger. Still a great product.
It looked great on the beginning because it's pure SILICONE.... that's also why I frizzed in the long run. I bought this a while ago, when I didnt really read ingredients.... but when I read the ingredients I knew it would be a disaster and that I waisted my money. I'm not totally against silicones, I do the water soluble ones... but that product is almost pure silicone and not water soluble either ... I have very thick spirals, I am scared to use this... one of these days when I plan on clarifying my hair maybe I'll try it, but I'm pretty sure I will have the same result as you, but frizzier in the long run...
Yes! I was so surprised hours later! Glad I wasn't the only one! Wish I didn't spend all the money. I might have my daughter try this when she's back from school. She has wavy hair not at all coarse. I wonder how it will work on her texture.
Hi NY Curl. Thank you once again for this review. Your reviews really keep me informed. So here are my thoughts for this review: when I looked at your hair after you styled it, I felt your curls were just ok. This product didnt produce bad results. You have such beautiful curly hair. However, to be honest, Ive watched you achieve even better, longer lasting results with other products. So I was glad to see the ending part - not that I didnt want your curls to pop but just to confirm my thoughts. Curly hair is a lot of trial and error and I believe you have nailed your perfect curls with products such as Aquage, Deva Curl, Its A 10 etc. I also believe that certain textures work well with creams alone, others with gels, and others with a cocktail of products. Im no expert in the curly hair field because Ive blowdryed my hair for years. However, for the past 2 years, Ive been trying to work with my naturally wavy/curly hair. Ive used Ouidad, Shea Moisture, Kinky Curly Knot Today, Ecostyler gel, Flaxseed gel and Redken Curvaceous. I also use Its A 10 Miracle Oil plus Keratin because its so light in my hair. I love it!! Im definitely hoping to get the curly cream in the future. So far, Ouidad and Redken have helped me achieve nice curly hair Im comfortable with. You look beautiful with both shorter and longer curly hair, and the colour is gorgeous. So keep on with your reviews, please. By the way, when you were explaining how creams work in your hair, I understood you clearly. thank you. Im also curious to read what others think of your curls in this review because as I say, im no curly hair expert.
Thanks Cleopatra! Listen, I, myself, am no expert either. We figure out what works for us b/c all curls are different. I just didn't feel right posting the completed video after using it the next day and getting totally different results. It was mixed and I really was confused as to why it was so different. And thanks for understanding my curl explanation with my fingers, lol!!! Much appreciated!
You can’t use this alone, it’s a finishing spray use your curl cream and your hold product as usual then spray this in as a finishing spray before you dry, if you use it alone with your hair type not correct for you
My hair is just like yours and I always have the SAME problem! Looks great at first and then turns into seaweed😩 wonder if you added some cream after it was dry???
Haa I'm stealing that word, seaweed! That's what I look like at the end of every night, lol. Yes, I think an additional product would help make this work on our type hair even though I always use only one product at a time.
Completely agree about the product. I still use curl cream and gel. Just way less. I also need my hair to be wetter than towel dried to help the frizz.
I have curly hair and this DID NOT WORK FOR ME... or it wasn't like WOW feeling at all. Not anything different that I haven't been achieving from other products. I have long hair.. and I am 54 with a 15% starting to grey.. My hair is like Hawaiin.. frizzy.. curly.. This is not A WOW factor for me. The smell .. smells like a vasoline... petroleum smell??? IT doesn't smell that great.. like a bit of fuel.. I am not sure it's good for your health. These things get into our lymph system.
I am trying to understand your review so I can decide and know what to expect from it. I think you are misusing the word frizzy and not using the correct language to describe your hair. Frizzing is when your hair stand is affected by moisture in the air and the cuticle raise up and the strand feels rough and it starts getting straight or curling up and getting sticky to each other , my hair absorbs water and gets heavy and rough. Ugh it is awful. Do you think the product doesn’t have enough hold to keep your style? You said you hair looked great and later it started looking less curly. Your style didn’t last, because that product didn’t have any hold. You said your curls would group, so maybe your curls didn’t stay in groups, they call that Clumps 😂 the product didn’t help your curls clump. Ugh anyway. Your hair did clump and then it feel apart. I would say it had to do with HOLD I would like to know how it hold up in humidity. Did your hair frizz when you came info tact with moisture in the air. You did say the cuticle did get smooth you said you hair felt thinner, and that you compared it to keratin. So it did its job. This product is supposed to smooth your hair strand and keep water sealed out to prevent frizz. I read the bottle and it doesn’t claim to keep a style or even create a curl 😡 how dan it replace gel if it can’t hold a curl. Anyway maybe using it with additional stylers, if it seals out frizz! It claims it will Polymer #1 moisturizes, conditions and de-frizzes. Polymer #2 restores bounce and elasticity. Polymer #3 keeps curls flexible, non-brittle plus adds high gloss shine.
I dont use a towel for hair,,,I dont shampoo, I rinse my hair in cool water or warm, I sure to massage, I use conditioner, get out shower never ever use towel for my hair,,,my robe collar catches the water, than I put mouse n my wow,,,,bcuz cold when it time to leave I put my hair in a teeshirt,, put the heat on my face hair n by the time I get to work it's dru,,,,, when its completely dry I fluff it out, its gorgeous n stay put👊👊👊
I think you did NOT apply the product correctly, Dominique sectioned her hair and dried it in sections also, i suggest you try the product as Dominique did and do an update video 😉
Hi Bianca, so this is not the same product that Dominique used which was the Dream Coat Supernatural Spray. The one I used in this video is for Dream Coat for Curly hair. I did actually do another video using the product that Dominique used and blew my hair out and it worked nice. ;)
Yup, that's what I did! "Usage: After shampooing and conditioning or alternatively, wetting hair thoroughly, gently squeeze out excess moisture. Comb if desired. Spray liberally, section by section (making sure to spray underneath sections as you go !). Air dry, or blow-dry using a diffuser."

My hair is very fine and the product works great for me! I love the WOW Dream Coat!
if the hold of the product isn’t enough i’d suggest the color wow flexible hold hair spray after drying, it’s not crunchy or sticky
That's a great idea, I'll have to purchase it b/c I did like this product at first!
It has a water soluble silicon. It washes out. Thanks for video
I just found your channel by looking for reviews on this product. I think you're fab and have gorgeous hair. I'm going to watch some of your other videos ❤
OMG thanks Sarah!!
There's no food up here, that's all you care about. Best line ever. So true. Glad you reviewed this product since I am considering purchasing it and it is expensive. Thanks.
haa, yes that's all Wilma cares about! If you have food she will love you forever, lol.
this product works good with added priducts i feel you needed to add to keep your curls i really loved the way your hair looked and your layers are beautiful

Thanks! Yes, creams are best for our hair! Lately I've been loving leave-in Conditioners also!
I really appreciate your honest reviews!
Thanks!! 🙂🥰
I am glad you are honest. I do remember all of the videos saying that you must saturate the hair. I am going to try this soon. I had straight hair all my life and, it came in curly after menopause. What shampoo do you use ??? Try the whole regimen. Sometimes it takes one line to get the results you want
Maybe you should try out their shampoo and conditioner
I don't think inhave actually! Thanks for the recommendation!
I saw this on Dominique's channel too! I'm happy to hear your review, you just saved me some $$. You have the most gorgeous curly hair. 💖 Cathy
Aww thanks! I hate it at times and most of my life growing up! I'm going to try the straightening spray soon! Hopefully that will work better.
Great video. And the music is so fun an quirky. Perfect. And you’re eyes are stunning.
Aww thank you!!
Why aren’t you applying it underneath and sectioning your hair like the instructions. I can’t believe how many people don’t follow the instructions. I haven’t even tried it yet. But from the videos I’ve seen you people aren’t applying it according to the directions.
Agreed. I cannot believe that she did this video without ever reading the directions. Yikes

Could be for sure, I want to re-visit Wow products soon!
Hi! Thanks so much for reviewing this! I'm the one who asked! Lol! So thankful for your honest opinion! I might still try it because I have thinner hair. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again! 😘👍🏼
Hey! Thanks for the recommendation! This week I'm doing the other WOW product and blew my hair out! Yes, would love to know how it worked for you.
NY Curl401 Oh yea! I can't wait to see that one too! I like to straighten my hair, when I have extra time! 😏
Let me add that I use it as I mentioned and it’s a must have for my 2B s!
That's probably why my daughter liked it better (and used it up on me, lol). Her hair is more wavy and softer.
There is a leave in by them so maybe that would have helped. I'm using it for the first time today. Im air drying it so its still wet. But in thinking I might need a leave in before I use it next time.
I think you might be right, or at least something else to give it a better hold throughout the day. It WAS a great product but my hair is stubborn!
@@DebNYCurl you have beautiful hair!

Well that sucks! My first reaction was her hair looks fantastic and than you show the after . Thanks for sharing your opinion!

Oh no...I need this too now. 😆 please kiss your curly hairded doggo for his Auntie Jessie! You are fabulous as always, sister! Xo
Aww thanks! Funny I gave her a bath yesterday and her curls really do pop, lol!
I thought I read you’re supposed to use a hair dryer and dry it with tension not loose like
Hi - I could be wrong but you might be thinking of this Wow product where you blow your hair straight? ruclips.net/video/YmGogirqEqA/видео.html
NY Curl401 yes. Oops. Damn my bad. Lol. Sorry
what you thought looked bad is hair i would love to have;)
Aw you're sweet. Isn't it funny, we all want what we don't have! I want straighter hair! lol
If you use the coconut cocktail from color wow before the dream coat it’ll be better. Or since you blow dry the original dream coat might be a better option since it is heat activated and works as a sealer for your hair
Good idea I might have to repurchase though.
Thank you, don't thank I try it. I tried the wow blow out and it seemed to dry my hair out.
Why did you twist your hair if it’s naturally curly?
Techniques like that help style the natural curl. You can get different looks depending on twist, shake and rake, twirl etc.
thank you!
Show us how you dry your hair please !!!
Hi, do you mean curly? I show it in most videos but I do have a video coming soon on my daily routine so stay tuned! :)

I use this spray with herbal essence curl mousse. I love the results

I’m what order?
they say it works best with heat, the product is activated with heat
Hi Estela, I think that is the other WOW product which I did a video on, to straighten the hair. This one is for curls. The other product worked well!
Estela Lordiluv yes! It even says on the back that it’s activated with heat

Try Redkin one united 23.

So now I am confused, you didn’t even read the directions before trying this?
I did. This is for curly hair, turned out great at first but my hair is thick coarse and dry so I needed something a little stronger. Still a great product.

Yes! I was so surprised hours later! Glad I wasn't the only one! Wish I didn't spend all the money. I might have my daughter try this when she's back from school. She has wavy hair not at all coarse. I wonder how it will work on her texture.
Why is it bad? My hair salon uses this for straightening
I just checked the ingredients and it doesn't actually have silicons, it just "Co polymers"
It has one silicone which is actually a water soluble one
It only features one water soluble silicone!
Your dog is adorable!!
Aww thanks!!
Good information! Thank you!
That’s what I was going to say. She said spray
Anyone used it with 3c type hair? X
You can’t use this alone, it’s a finishing spray use your curl cream and your hold product as usual then spray this in as a finishing spray before you dry, if you use it alone with your hair type not correct for you
Hmm thanks!
I also need my hair to be wetter than towel dried to help the frizz.
dominique last name is pronounced Saxes
Thanks!! I'm not good with pronouncing names!
How often do you wash your hair?
I condition daily but use shampoo maybe once every couple of weeks. Unless there is a product in my hair that feels like it's not coming out.
I hate that stuff so much it smells like chemicals and did nothing for my hair ughh 😖
What is your favorite curl product?
Hi, I would say the one I use when I can't have bad hair is Mixed Chicks Leave-in Conditioner.
Your hair was much too dry when you apply the product your hair should have been WET
I would say it had to do with HOLD
I would like to know how it hold up in humidity.
It claims it will
Polymer #1 moisturizes, conditions and de-frizzes.
Polymer #2 restores bounce and elasticity.
Polymer #3 keeps curls flexible, non-brittle plus adds high gloss shine.
I'm obsessed with wow
I was thinking of trying this again. My daughter used it up so I'd have to repurchase it.
Sounds like a great routine!
@@rottweilerrivera4787 What mousse do you use
Super annoying talking on the phone and then other random annoying talking so I just had to keep fast forwarding
no worries! 😁
Why the music ?
I think you did NOT apply the product correctly, Dominique sectioned her hair and dried it in sections also, i suggest you try the product as Dominique did and do an update video 😉
Hi Bianca, so this is not the same product that Dominique used which was the Dream Coat Supernatural Spray. The one I used in this video is for Dream Coat for Curly hair. I did actually do another video using the product that Dominique used and blew my hair out and it worked nice. ;)
Diffuse you hair
Pronounce her last name, socks-uh.
Ohhh I'm so way off, thanks!!!
@@DebNYCurl Unless her surname is Swabian German, where the digraph "ch" may be pronounced "sh" instead of the usual High German velar "kh."
Oh I remember her mentioning she was German!
Read the directions before you use it.
Are you on pills or did you drink alcohol?!
haa!
Was wondering the same thing. So slow and drawn out.
