The fist bump seems like a test. Maybe it has to do with someone pairing similar poses. It would be interesting having paired poses that create unique victories. I would love if they did like a secret handshake with another player if someone used a certain pose combination. That's what I can only guess from the unused data.

It's possible they still plan to use those, the devs are still updating them to emotes that aren't even released yet (like the splat 1/2 victory animations, that only exist trough those fist bump animations but are easily recognizable) and they even gave a fist bump to brand new victory animations ("Emote_BigJump00_EdWait_FistBump_R (or L)" which is a peace sign emote). The most popular theory was that it was for tricolore turf wars, while winning as attackers but they alaso have fist bump for the victory animation when the other attacker team win (and for x100). It doesn't seem to be a timing test either since they're naming them thoroughly and for each side of the player character, which wouldn't be necessary for that. I have no idea what it cold be used for personally, but they're great oversight to see what the future hold for victory animations lmao
