That’s actually not accurate - the woman would be writhing all over the place in real life, and it’s not even possible with a hacksaw, so kinda lame kill really.
Very impressive, this movie only had a budget of 35k and was direct to dvd movie , the 2nd was almost entirely crowd funded with 250k and showed in theaters all over the world and had a box office of 15M which is a huge success especially for a splatter movie and now the 3rd had a budget of 2M and is supposed to be the best from what I've heard so far . I'm just happy that an indie horror movie is getting such success and after the 2nd movie Art became a modern horror icon. Also the actor's name is David Howard Thornton
32:00 I'm only writing this so one tiny section of my brain will stop screaming like a toddler: The Protagonist of a story is ALWAYS the main/focal character; whoever the story is about; even if that person is a killer, villain, or general bad person. The Antagonist is the character(s) that opposes the protagonist's goal, even if they are blatantly in the right. Movies can make it iffy on who is who, since these roles can flip and change when analyzing a single scene or section. Tara definitely appears to be the protagonist for most of the first half, but the reason she dies at all is because the story was never really about her.
technically Art is the protagonist of this first movie. i’d say he officially shifts to the antagonist in the second film when we get Lauren LaVera into the franchise as the protagonist
@@sanzoftatooine I’ll have to look for it. They told us at the con it takes 30 minutes for him to get it off and even then he was still a little dark around the eyes
This is as shaken as I've ever seen roxy during any reaction she's been a part of, and I have to say, that I find it amusing and entertaining as hell. 🤣
Personally cant do these films, but im watching everyone reviewing and reacting to them. Thankfully the worst parts are edited heavily lol, good luck guys if you go for 2 and 3
Here some fun facts from Art the clown: the first appearance of Art the clown was in 2008 or I think 2006 as Damien Leone said in the interview, second fact there's a short film that Damien made it was, The 9th Circle that's when Art first appearance, and then after this movie "TERRIFIER" there's another movie named "All Hallows Eve" I recommend you to watch it, that's all and I hope you guys watch Terrifier 2 next and then Terrifier 3.
YOU GUYS!! I AM SO EXCITED AND HAPPY FOR YALL TO FINALLY WATCH THIS 😱😱😱😱 TERRIFIER 2 IS MUCH GORIER AND MORE GRAPHIC 😆 most people LITERALLY puked and/or passed out. I heard it gets worse for the third film 👀🔥🙌🏼 I’ve been obsessed with Art the Clown since 2018 and the character hasn’t disappointed me at all!! He’s hilarious and I’m a big fan of the franchise 😎🙌🏼 I’m so excited for you guys to watch Part 2! I love part 2 much more, personally 👀😌
About the rating- it was not R, it was unrated and released direct to video in 2016! Terrifier 2 is also unrated but made its way to the theaters and 3 is also unrated. One of the only movie series to actually achieve being put in nationwide theater chains without a rating.
I never thought you’d guys would watch this 😂😂😂 me and my wife love this saga. I believe Art the Clown was originated in the Halloween movies. There’s like 2 of them.
All Hallows Eve it was called. He's only in the first film since the director went on to do Terrifier instead and it's an anthology film with Art connecting the different stories. Art actually originated in two short films the director did before that but both of them were included in All Hallows Eve. It was a different actor playing him though, he was a friend of the directors so he only did it as a favour and never wanted to keep playing him.
One of the best modern horror franchises right here. The second one is amazing! It has one of the most brutal kills ever and it’s awesome! Can’t wait for the third.
i literally just asked myself this morning if and when you guys would do this movie. i’m very very glad Greg and Roxy decided to do this one… i can’t imagine how Tara would handle this series…
The moment this notification popped up I just laughed bc I knew this reaction would be hilarious 😂 I just saw this movie last week and I still get chills from the gore and that usually doesn’t bother me in films
There was TECHNICALLY a movie before this called All Hallows’ Eve. It’s a movie about a babysitter who watches a VHS tape that involves Art The Clown. It’s pretty good and I love it despite people calling it alright 👀🔥🙌🏼
FUCK YEAH GUYS!!!!! After this franchise, I really think the team would have a blast watching all of the VHS films. Ao glad yall ended up reacting to this. I heard you were going to, but I wasn’t sure if it were just false hopes/rumors. NICE
To answer your question: No, Terrifier was NOT at Halloween Horror Nights this year. Which is a FUCKING CRIME!!! We have been BEGGING John Murdy to put this at Horror Nights for the past 2 years but it never has been. What's more, Damien Leone was asked at a panel this year if he would like to see Terrifier featured at HHN. And he said absolutely, he would love it. But for some reason, it still hasn't. As far as Roxy thinking she walked through it at HHN this year: You're probably thinking about Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which is the only gory house this year at HHN.
32:25 I didn’t mind this one too much-it was a little heavy on the gore for gore’s sake but still bearable. The sequel, though? Wow. It took me three attempts to get through it. The first time, I hit *that* scene and had to turn it off. The second time, I reached *that other* scene and thought maybe I’d finally found my limit-something I didn’t think I had, except for real-life gore. After finishing it, I consider it the goriest movie I’ve ever seen.
Terrifier was $100,000 budget Terrifier 2 was $250,000 budget made over $15 million worldwide which resulted Terrifier 3 to be 2 million budget which helped it expand more and get a full makeup effects team. I could go on for at least 2 hours of facts lol
I actually went to a con in OKC 2 months ago and met him in person and got my pic with him in full costume. He definitely keeps the character going in costume it's amazing lol.
Damien Leone has put his everything into these films , and they’re just so much fun. The 1st one is clearly on a lower budget but it gives a gritty feeling that just works , 2 & 3 are just on another level with the practical effects and the over the top gore and it’s fucking great
Just for reference. There’s an anthology movie called “All Hallows’ Eve” where there’s a short film with Art. It’s unclear exactly what he his. However it’s clear, some sort of demonic entity.
I don't know about anyone else but being stabbed in the ankle wouldn't make it easy to deliver a beat down to someone which is why she wasnt jumping forward to clobber him more before getting shot. She was lucky to be running around like she was.
I just found out about terrified about a week ago. Watched #1 and #2. I’ve fallen in love with this series. You can tell that #2 had a way bigger budget. There’s an actual storyline too. Gruesome and awesome. Can’t wait to see #3 Also, to me he’s more of a mime than clown
1st one is a classic, 2nd one sets the bar higher and in a way is better than the original, and from what people are saying, 3 is the best out of the entire franchise, it’s like final destination, you watch for the kills not necessarily the plot line, the 2nd sets up more of a plot. I hope yall watch the second one, your reactions to this will be DOUBLED for terrifier 2
I think my takeaway from Terrifier 1 & 2 is that practical effects look sufficiently unreal that I find them vaguely amusing - even when the acts they're depicting are (obviously) horrible. Compared with something like Evil Dead Rise (practical, enhanced with CG, sometimes fully CG) which is genuinely horrifying. Just like I was never, ever scared or horrified by The Thing because it was sooo ridiculous, with the stomach teeth and green goo and all that nonsense. My ticket is booked for T3 on Friday, front row.

But it is a far better movie overall.
No😂😂.
Sure😂
When I got the notification about this one I just went "Oh no......" 😅
It's so hard to watch and also it's hard to look away at the same time all why asking WTF !?!?! Art is truly terrifying.

Roxy looking so stressed and asking Greg why he did this LMAOOO

NO 😭😭😭
Totally. I think you will enjoy it more... I know we will 😇

Fun fact: Art’s super power is he can keep his victims alive as long as he wants too even when they should be dead. You’ll see this in the sequel
Surprised you guys were able to get this one up without blurring out 90% of the film 😂
