As people have said for one you are removing because it's not functioning any longer , just cut off the wiring . And then use whatever socket , wrench , etc you want .
I can't believe how easy they are to get to. That's great, I think I'm just going to change them to know they are new lol alot of automakers use denso as oem.
If you look up Air/Fuel Sensor or O2 sensor online at most parts store, you will get the Denso 234-9005 for upstream sensor. However, my very good mechanic said I needed the Denso 234-9004 sensor. Go to an auto part store and have them run the VIN. Some CR-V 's use the 9004 sensor. The sensor was 199.00 at O'Reily's. When I told him I found it cheaper on another site, he matched the price for $156.00. I paid my Mechanic $50.00 to put it on. Which is what it would have cost to tow it in once I would have screwed this up.
04 Honda CR-V My engine light went on. Code said Replace O2 sensor. Got a good Sensor. Replaced it. Engine light still on!!! Got to get tags! Won't pass smog!
Hi: my car oxygen sensor replaced, do the smoke inspection. now no fault code, does the car have to run for 200 mi before going to the smoke inspection?
That is the downstream sensor (sometimes called "sensor 2"). While the upstream (#1) sensor continuously corrects the mixture, the downstream sensor looks for fluctuations in the O2 level - produced by the switching action of the upstream sensor as it adjusts the mixture - in the output of the catalytic converter. If the converter is working correctly the fluctuations will be small, otherwise the output of the converter has something like the fluctuations of the input. Be aware that many mechanics consider P0420 (bank 1) or P0421 (bank 2) to be positive evidence of a bad converter on that bank, it can also be cause by an exhaust/air leak between the sensor under the hood and the catalytic converter. It is all too common to replace a converter, only to find the new one seems to last just a few months, because the "new" has worn off and the leak is worse.
Good Jod bro I got Honda crv 2000 ex 5 speed I got the code today P0171 don't know can't be i check the house nothing likings buy 2 sensor last time for the my other Honda crv 1999 5 speed to put new motor say bay bay 😂 you thing can put it to see code go away buy from auto1 parts send me 2 for half price don't know 2 the saing sensor or it are different thank can let me know ok be safe
Good job! Glad to know a few of you young whipper snappers are staying sharp and taking care of businesses👍
Thank you! Very clear and easy to follow along
Super easy to follow

Thanks I did subscribe... We need more people being straightforward and not trying to make money... Thanks...

True enough. Yeah all depends on the car

Good work brooo
hi great vid im jw how you know whether to replace the upstream or downstream o2 sensor?
The code reader will tell you which one it is.

20 miles is good enough
if anyone knows, what's the name of the wire thing (identical to the oxygen sensor) connected to the middle of the catalytic converter?

I think thats Air/fuel sensor and lower one is the oxygen sensor it’s confusing
I believe that after reaching catalitic convertor .there is no point in measuring o2 level
