    Done a ton of research myself, and most say that if you have the proper amount of (large) space, not a ton of electrical interference, and a fully-flat surface all the way from monitor to screen, Mevo+ is the absolute answer. Plus you’re all good for lefties and righties- something very challenging with the GC3. Give it a go- will be a pretty big upgrade from the old Skytrack. And if you want to upgrade down the line you can likely resell the Mevo+ for not too big of a hit. Great vid, thanks!

    I upgraded to Skytrak+. I just couldn’t see spending more money. Don’t have the depth for Mevo+ plus some interference I would be afraid of in garage anyway. Got it on sale for $2400. Couldn’t be happier. I use hand improvement mostly and the software is great and improving. Course Play will give any sim play I want. I see Skytrak investing in their environment. Very happy with my decision. Better units out there I know but this is a great value. If I were ever to upgrade I would look at an o reheard if prices come down. QED was one I was looking at.

    Last I went through the process of assessing my options and weighing up pros and cons. I ended up with the Mevo+ with pro package and face impact. It is at a great price point for the comprehensive set of data that you get and there is no ongoing subscription fee. The fact that left and right-hand can play without moving the unit and not having to put dots on the club were also big factors. I don't regret my decision at all. The only downside I see is shot chipping and putting but this doesn't worry me as I use the simulator more for practice than playing rounds of golf and when I do play a round on the bundled e6 courses I use auto-putt. If you do go down the Mevo+ route I strongly advise that you buy some RCT balls, much better than putting a metal dot on the ball. You don't have to line the ball up every time and you don't wear out one spot on the back of the ball.

    GC3 or Mevo + id say Mevo+ has everything you want and is a lot cheaper. Only real downside is ease of set up and possibly using out on the course. Mevo seems to do everything for reasonable value.

    I narrowed it down to the mevo+ and the Protee. Read the reviews and watched the videos. I noticed both weren't quite as acute as the GCQuad. So either way, unless you are buying a Quad, it won't be the most accurate. I just ordered the ProteeVX. It's ceiling mounted for lefties, and with updates, it will get better. And from what I've seen, it's pretty accurate compared to other monitors. I think you can't go wrong with all the club and ball data.That is my 2 cents anyway. Good luck, my friend. Both are good midrange monitors.👍

For driver, its basically a guess (backspin is accurate with RCT ball). Outdoors Mevo Plus is superb

    Best value is definitely the Mevo Plus Limited - hands down. I’ve seen chipping issues on other channels, but from a value perspective - it has a ton of data and no subscription costs. That’s mainly the win there. It’s built to improve your golf game. I have the Skytrak+ and I like it. I’ve banked on the fact that Golftec will put a ton of money into it since they use this device solely in their sessions now. Since their golf instruction is “data-based” I see them making massive improvements to maintain credibility in that area. As you know, the Skytrak+ has a pretty decent connector to GSPro. Very stable. But again, from a value perspective you can’t beat the Mevo Plus Limited with its datapoints and portability.

    MITCH - LOOK AT THE EYE MINI AGAIN & THE VIEW SOFTWARE
    you get all that data, all the accuracy & the monitor with the best putting sim experience on the market today, along with high-speed, slow motion video of your impact on every shot (including putting). The integration with GSPro is spot on and connectivity is rock solid. You can take it to the range with an iPad and still have all the data. On top of all that you can expand it with a balance pad and multiple synchronized swing cameras.
    I just have this sinking feeling after watching your videos for so long that the putting is going to be such a letdown if you go with the MLE. Putting is half of all the strokes in the game and if you can’t work on putting with your launch monitor then you can only work on half your game. You also can’t out grow the Eye Mini. I own one and love it! The MLE is a great launch monitor but the Eye Mini is the one you should get for your use case

    I'm considering the same ones. I am leaning towards the bushnell launch pro or protee. In the bushnell reviews folks say just spray fast drying foot powder on the face when you want to practice / know your club impact location and that actually makes sense although i like that the protee does it for you all the time without having to do extra things.

    I'm in exactly the same boat - have had my Skytrak for 5yrs and have been deliberating on a replacement for the exact same reasons (club path / face impact). As things stand I think the ProTee is the way to go. However I'm going to wait until sometime next year before pulling the trigger. That will mean the ProTee will have been around for well over a year so hopefully plenty of feedback / bugs ironed out etc - will be monitoring the discord chats etc. And who knows, by then we might find another Vendor adds this info to an existing platform, or something else turns up at the next Golf show. I think you can possibly get caught up chasing the next big thing with this - you already know you will become a better player with practice, regardless of whether your sim has club path/face impact etc.

    Think the Mevo+ is definitely the best value LM on the market as long as you have the space for it to work properly. I had similar criteria to you with wanting to see the face impact. Unfortunately, I'm only going to have about 4.5 metres to my screen so wasn't enough to get accurate data from it.
    Because of my space limit, I've just taken the plunge on the Eye Mini. Seems like the spin issues that it had after launch have been resolved and it's now super accurate. Although it doesn't have face impact per se, you can get get a pretty good idea of it from the swing camera. Originally thought about the GC3 but the Eye Mini seems to do everything that the GC3 does but with the ability to look at impact on the camera and for a couple of grand less it ended up being a no brainer for me.

      I thoroughly regret buying a FlightScope Mevo+. It's incredibly poorly designed. You have to buy an after-market charger for it to consistently keep charging while using it. The indicator lights are more or less meaningless and bleed into one another, so you can't tell what is lit. It's reliably a PITA to connect as it is Wi-Fi ONLY. And it does not read putts at all ... EVER. All this, despite following Sim build & FS instructions as well as user suggestions to the letter. It is a unreliable time-sink and a persnickety waste of money. I'll take a Uneekor Eye Mini Lite or Trugolf's Launchbox, thanks. My Mevo+ will be given away to a friend. Good riddance.

    Mevo+ for one reason...NO SUBSCRIPTION. Unbelievably accurate and all inclusive. As long as you have the room before and after the ball, I think it is a no brainer. Maybe doesn't look as premium but it is all under the hood.

    I really want to get the mevo+ but my garage floor elevation changes 1inch from the mevo to screen. I’m afraid of bad readings because of that. My mevo would be 1inch lower at the bottom of my garage. U think this would affect readings ?

    • @hcpgolf
      @hcpgolf  4 месяца назад

      Yes this could potentially affect the accuracy of the data. You can buy stands that raise and level the Mevo+ I believe so this could be a workaround 👍🏼

    As a Bushnell Launch Pro owner, I'm shocked at how much your impact location is factoring into your decision. It seems to me that accuracy should be the most important thing, and that impact location itself contributes inaccuracies in lower end launch monitors. Accurate ball/club data should be most important so you know and get the right feedback for when you hit the center or not, for improvement and playing. You can always get external cameras if you want impact location.

    • @hcpgolf
      @hcpgolf  4 месяца назад +1

      This is what I’m really toying with. Face angle & impact location are desirable but at the end of the day do I want that over accuracy - and I know if I go GC3 I’ll be getting the accuracy.

    • @sellnbrew1
      @sellnbrew1 4 месяца назад +2

      I think the thing about impact location is that if you have a chronic location problem, it is pretty easy to figure out where your misfits are with a can of stray foot powder. In addition, I can feel at impact whether I’ve hit on the toe or the heel or low or high. I see it as a nice to know, but I don’t really find it that useful on a shot by shot basis.

      The Uneekor won’t. I also went down that route of thought but according to Uneekor the units are area locked. I also asked about the balance mat and cameras. Uneekor said they would work in Eu if purchased from USA but for any warranty claims they would need to be sent back to country of purchase so that scuppered that idea to 😢
