Improve your triceps gains on the Overhead Extension!
First, stop keeping your hands together and widen your grip. So that the triceps can get trained with more range of motion.
Secondly, experiment with Katana Triceps Extension using 2 separate cables. This exercise aligns the resistance better with your triceps muscle fibers and each arm gets trained individually.
But the cable section is not empty 😭
That can be a challenge in some gyms
If you're not big enough to mog them yet, focus on chest and shoulders for intimidation factor

Bro, I'm a girl. At first, it was really fun as a beginner because the trainer would help me get my turns by asking others to let me finish or alternate. Plus, there were fewer people. But now, with summer vacation, the gym is full of college and school students. The trainer doesn’t pay much attention to me anymore since I’m not new. The cable machine is always crowded, and I never get a chance to do my triceps workout because of them.
Widening your elbows will target different part of the tris. Just like keeping them close. Both are affective and one is inferior to the other.

Yeah nope.. swaying them to the sides just gives the long head less of a stretch, dis doode just ego-lifting
So are u saying that holding your arms wide or close both are correct but they target different muscle groups? Like how? Don't they both target the long head?
I'm asking this because i'm confused, i see some people recommending to hold your arms wide while the others suggest that it should be close
@@aydingharehbaghian7923 keeping them close is better for more long head and medial isolation but is more difficult. Similar to bicep curls, you can just curl them up or curl up with supination. Both with hit your biceps but one will emphasize other recruitment. Neither are superior to the other.
@@aydingharehbaghian7923they do, don’t stress about it too much. Just don’t completely flare them out to the sides at 90 degress and you‘re fine
Tip: use a Vbar or EZ bar attachment so you can load it better while still getting the same stretch

I just do this one. On a arm only day now. My push chest days. I finish with a lighter pull-down. Set only with cables.

When I do this exercise I always get shoulder pain for some reason. I’m just wondering if this is a common thing or not? Also, is there a more better exercise to train the long head than doing this exercise?
You probably have weak rotator cuffs
Try doing a rotator cuff warmup before chest/tricep day, with elastic bands. Look it up on youtube
@@kakashihat2985 don't do them this way. Do push downs. Then do overhead at lighter weight with elbows NOT flared like he tells you on the video and with your elbows not in front of your ear either.
This guy is giving advice that yields little gain other than injury.

Same here some says widen your hand and some say closer but i get good pump if i widen and in close I don’t feel my tricep
Muscle on my upper shoulder blade is activating too much while doing this exercise with dumbbells. What can I do to concentrate more on tricep itself?
Ez bar or straight bar attachments are better than rope

Any reason why these type of tricep workours hurt my elbow alot? If i go light weight i dont feel pain but i also dont feel any muscle work. Miderate/ beavy weight gives me so much elbow pain

I make the mistake of bringing the rope forward instead of upward thats why the exercise feels so awkward , but going to try without the rope so maybe i get accustomed to it!!
