    I am actually surprised there are not more videos on parking and using a car for your Disney vacation. This actually helps you know whether it’s worth bringing your car, renting a car or booking a Disney resort hotel where you won’t need a car. Why don’t Disney RUclipsrs cover this?!!!

    This was an outstanding and comprehensive guide. Also shoutout for knowing how to operate a turn signal, it’s a forgotten art

    Thanks for the video. We're going to WDW for the second time next year and want to rent a car to get to the parks as early as possible. I've also heard that a cast member can determine where you parked based on the time you arrived.

    • @TheParkhop
      @TheParkhop  5 лет назад +1

      Absolutely true. If you do lose your car, they can quickly determine which lot you are likely in, based on arrival time. That would have been a good point to include in the video!

    I thought the parking garages at Disney Springs charged now? Maybe I misunderstood. Great vid, very helpful.

    • @TheParkhop
      @TheParkhop  5 лет назад +2

      Nope, Disney Springs garages and surface lots are free. With all the money they poured into building them, I feared they might charge, but they don't.

    Great video! I loved it so much, it really helped me a lot. I just have one question: how does parking work when going to a golf course? Not spending any days on a Disney World hotel, nor theme parks, nor water parks, etc. I'm looking specfically about just booking a tee time, driving there and playing some golf. So, how does parking work?

  • @ricsccr
    @ricsccr 4 года назад +2

    It says parking is $25/day at theme parks. Does this mean if you have park hopper and leave magic kingdom to go to animal kingdom, you don't have to pay for parking again? We will be travelling with small kids as well. What if we leave the park for nap time and come back in the evening? Do we have to pay for parking again?

    • @TheParkhop
      @TheParkhop  4 года назад +2

      Good questions! If you pay a theme park parking fee and go to a different park on the same day (or leave and come back), you don't need to pay an additional parking fee.

    If you park at a theme park before you check in to your resort hotel on your first day at Disney World are you charged the theme park parking fee?

    • @TheParkhop
      @TheParkhop  4 года назад +2

      If you haven't checked in yet, you will have to pay the fee. The solution is to either go to your hotel first and check in, as early as 7a.m. (even if your room isn't ready yet), or just check in using the My Disney Experience app. Doing either will set your magic bands to show you as a resort guest, and theme park parking will be complementary.

    Great video, thanks for the vital info. Exactly what I needed.
    A question though: can you park at Disney Springs then just travel to the parks from there if you account for time? I'm looking to make savings wherever possible. Is this even practical?

    • @TheParkhop
      @TheParkhop  4 года назад +2

      Unfortunately, no. There are no buses from Disney Springs to the parks.

    • @Creatively_Clueless
      @Creatively_Clueless 4 года назад

      @@TheParkhop oh ok thanks for that. I guess the only way would be to take the bus to a resort then travel from the resort in the monorail or bus etc .......... that makes travel time stupidly long! I think I'll have to bite the bullet and pay.

    If you have a annual pass and are staying at a resort hotel, do still have to pay resort parking?

    • @TheParkhop
      @TheParkhop  4 года назад

      Unfortunately, you will still have to pay the parking fee for your individual resort. The only exception to the parking fee is Fort Wilderness Campground.

    Just planning our first trip. I'm not familiar with buses and such, but if we park for free at Disney Springs or the water parks, can we take a bus or something over to the theme parks? I've heard that the buses can take a while and wasn't sure if 1) it would even work and 2) it's worth it.

    • @TheParkhop
      @TheParkhop  4 года назад

      There are no buses from Disney Springs directly to the parks, so that plan wouldn't pan out for you, unfortunately.

  • @wish2hate

    hey jacob, there's something I don't understand. If resort parking can be free then wouldn't you want to park there and take the transportation to disneyland? (assuming you do not have annual pass).

    • @loganbrooks7800
      @loganbrooks7800 3 года назад

      This is a completely uneducated guess but I assume they only let you board Disney transport from a resort only if you're staying in that resort. Otherwise, everyone would be taking that opportunity to park free, haha.
