I still go back and watch your videos. I love your straightforward style and no-nonsense approach. I wish you kept posting videos and did updates for 2023-24. Your most recent is from 2 years ago. Doing videos for Universal would be awesome, too!
Its sad that GreenPoint hotel now has a $20 resort fee and breakfast is not included - it's an extra $12. Rosen Inn LBV is still my go-to; still has free parking, no resort fee and rooms around 80 bucks a night.
Best speaking voice (natural with a lively intonation) of any Disney vlogger. He also seemed smarter than other hosts so I liked & subscribed. I do suggest ditching the grey t-shirt.
I know this is about Disney hotels, but if you are going in September then look at Universals endless summer resort. You can find it for 88 dollars per night. Even if you’re not going to universal that’s still an amazing price
Great video! I frequent Orlando and I’ve only heard of one of the hotels you mentioned. Can you do your top five Universal Orlando area hotels? Please and thank you!
Thanks, Clarissa. I will keep that in mind. I will say that, in my experience, the best inexpensive hotel around Universal is "Rosen Inn Nearest To Universal." That's actually what it's called. It's located at 6327 International Drive. I've stayed there for about $40, and it's smaller but similar to the Rosen hotels in this video.
I'm interested in free shuttles. Do they leave the hotels to be at the parks at opening times? And do they leave the parks at closing times or sooner? Only Clarion Inn has free shuttles?
I haven't stayed at any of these but I've stayed at Magic Moment. It was a little strange (fake ivy on the walls) but it was a good trip. Not super expensive, either.
Good video! We're looking to do a weekend in August to celebrate first wedding anniversary. So this helps us for looking for a cheaper option. Most of the Rosens have a similar level of standards I notice. None of them win awards on style - Our first orlando visit was at what is now Rosen Inn International and it's still almost the same as it was in 1998. Is pretty close to the parks and right next to the "Largest Entertainment McDonalds" which is a weird franchise that sells fresh cooked pizzas and pasta too.
Hey love you videos Keep making videos like this great info I have a question for you if you can pick 1 hotels you put on a video which would be the absolute number one that you will stay in with a family of 4 this is my 1st time going to Florida please let me know
Hey, sorry for the delay on my answer! The one I typically choose is the Monte Carlo if the price is low. Otherwise I stay at the Clarion Inn LBV (now called the Rosen Inn LBV).
That comment about the Clarion Inn being like the Rosen Inn but closer is funny since they recently changed the name to Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista. Perhaps you have the gift of prophecy.
Leaving aside the cheaper hotels, I think that the Orlando Hilton off I-Drive is the nicest hotel in the area. It's better than the Rosens, the Hyatt Regency, etc.
@@melissapeters7441 That's a great place. If anyone asks me the nicest hotel in the area, I usually tell them the new J.W. Marriott at Bonnet Creek. Try that one sometime!
$11 for a good breakfast for all, I'll take it, they're losing money if more than two people. Resort fees are out of control at some places with no breakfast. Thx

Is there a 2021 version of this video yet?? :-)

Thank you so much for this. Would love to see an updated version - post Covid.
This guy is really smooth and I found it helpful. I had the Clarion in mind from years ago when I did my own research 🧐
Thank you Jacob. I love your vlogs
It would be good to see your numbers 6 through 10 as well. I appreciate the effort in locating this type of savings.
Just looking for Feb 2023 and the green point hotel is 146 a night. I wish I had of seen these videos years ago
Thanks for sharing your indepth perspective on these cheap hotels near WDW...
So thoroughly researched! Amazing!
Thank you very much!

Very informative comparative analysis.
Could you do a review of the “new” Red Lion Hotel Lake Buena Vista South?
Will see what I can do!
You are awesome 😎👏🏻 Thank you!!!

Yes, Rosen Inn closest to Universal.

I think the Palazzo was the Golden Triangle. Stayed there in the late 1980s.
I like the Rosen hotels, this one does have a very good breakfast for the price 👍👍
Awesome video, VERY helpful, if you've stayed at Destiny Palms maingate west please let me know ur thoughts about it, luv love ur videos!!
Haven't stayed there, but will look into it!
I haven't stayed at any of these but I've stayed at Magic Moment. It was a little strange (fake ivy on the walls) but it was a good trip. Not super expensive, either.
How about the hotel called "Comfort Suites Maingate East"? Is that any good?
Glad to see the Palazzo have a microwave. It wasn't listed on Expedia.
For me, it's been hard to beat Disney's value resorts on property, but maybe we'll have to consider these off-property sites as my family is growing.
There's definitely some advantages to staying at the Value Resorts. Sometimes, though, even they get to be $250/night. Nice to have options.
Fab video, very informative. Thank you 😊
Thanks, Richard! Glad to know it was useful for you.

Glad to know it helps! Yeah, Rosens seem to be pretty similar whichever one you visit

Is there still no resort fee for #3? Thanks x
I would suggest the point resort! Cheap, awesome (really awesome) service, free shuttles 5 min from Universal resorts and rooms are HUGE!
Hello Renato, do you mean the Greenpoint hotel? Are the shuttles limited? Do they leave when the parks close or sooner?
Great video! Very informative
Excellent video! 👏👏👏👏
Thanks, Denisse!
Main gate in Kissimmee at irlo bronson hwy is the worst - left in the middle of the night
Is the Rosen the old Grovsner hotel right at the beginning of the park?
I’m your 62nd subscriber !
I'm glad to have you! We just started a couple of months ago, but there will be new content each week.
Monte Carlo must be owner operated, due to detail. In respect to attention to detail, I will try it.
That comment about the Clarion Inn being like the Rosen Inn but closer is funny since they recently changed the name to Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista. Perhaps you have the gift of prophecy.
Which one do you recommend for a family of 4 visiting for the first time Disney and Florida
I'm doing an updated version of this video for 2022, but probably the Clarion Inn LBV, which is now called the Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista.
Leaving aside the cheaper hotels, I think that the Orlando Hilton off I-Drive is the nicest hotel in the area. It's better than the Rosens, the Hyatt Regency, etc.

Thank you for this video! Do you mind if I link this to a video I did about Disney hotel option? I think my viewers would really appreciate it!
Sure, feel free!
Watching this fall 2020. Could you update with pandemic procedures?
I need your mug! Where did you get it. :)
Made it, might sell them later on once the channel grows a bit. :)
shoptheparkhop.com
Also is the mug a reference to the Rope drop podcast?
Nope, just a little set decoration I made, might offer it for sale down the road.

No more perks staying at Disney Hotels. Bus transportation is not so dependable. No more Extra hours! No Disney Express. No more discounts. And so on.
Have you ever stayed at Laquinta???
Which one in particular?
I was so excited about your praise of Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista, but it appears to be permanently closed. Boo hoo.
It's not closed, it got renamed to Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista :)
I think you get money from greenpoint hotel!!i it is one of the worse hotel I ever see in my life!!
Have you been since the remodel? I had a great stay there. I can assure you I got nothing from any of these hotels.
