Many people, aka Summining salt
we're finally almost there lol. then we can let it die
4:53.96 IT HAPPENED HE DID IT HOURS AGO!!!!!🖤
I always think it’s over but then some new god comes around. This time for sure though
I can't handle watching that guy play on a damn keyboard, the ergonomics are so wrong.
It's time to toss out framerules, and just time a run based on how fast the player completes each level (throw out the fireworks delay, too). I'm sure I'm not the first to think of it, but no one ever mentions it, so it must be a radical idea, I guess. If it's a new category type, call it "actual time" vs the current "realtime" categories.
It apparently exists but nobody wants to run it because it turns the speedrun into (quoting another reply) "fast accel: the game"
@@want-diversecontent3887maybe practicing fast accel that way could help nifski get the perfect 8-4
@@want-diversecontent3887 Okay, but isn't that what speedrunning is, ultimately?
@@Mark_LaCroix it is, except for the fact that it's a romhack and not the original game. No real point in grinding something that is extremely unfun and not even official
@@WolfAeterni You're telling me there's no way to time out each level separately without a rom hack? Nonsense.
Like, what's the residence here? The alternative is struggling to tackle one final framerule and then calling it quits on this game.
All of speedrunning is built on some degree of fantasy and imagination anyway, with arbitrary rules and "official" exceptions to those rules. I'd think there'd be more openness, excitement even, to literally anything that might keep it alive or shake it up.
I said it 3 years ago, I'm still gonna say it now: This category will be perfected within the 2020s.
But this time I have a bold new claim: We will also see a sub 18:45 RTA warpless run happen in the 2020s.
sub 18:50 mayybe
Nice video bro
