Hello, is there a way to conect my canon EOS 7D into a black magic Atem Mini? it shows a blackscreen, I supose is because is not a clean HDMI output from my camara, does this software u show can help me with this issue?
You need to work out your problem with the Atem. ML won’t help but does provide clean HDMI.
I have a 7d and it works with the ATEM Mini! Trouble shoot your cable and make sure your ATEM is set up correctly. It also used the auto focus. Good luck to you!

Do you press record in camera or on your external recorder?
Press Record in your external software as you are taking in a clean feed from the Canon.
Turn off Auto Focus and on your lens the same. Focus tracking is unlikely to work, depending upon Camera model, with ML's clean HDMI output settings.
Thankssss
Thank you my 600D HDMI is clean but the shutter close after 30sec.
That might be down to your HDMI cable or USB connection. Check the USB bus on your computer to see if the camera is seen. Also make sure your camera is fully powered.
And just after I left this comment I got it to work. Thank you so much it works 100%
Hi, i have 600d as well and i will give this a try. Is the hdmi output full hd? i guess in this camera is lower resolution, but just asking. thanks
@@pepepemariano it depends on the connected software features. It may up sample the signal to HD 1920x1080 by interpolation.
what is intended here for "clean" ? without any black border?
Clean means no dialogue boxes. You can remove the black borders within Magic Lantern.
@@philbinks oh ok so it's a nice solucion.. btw i found a different solution within a stream software that allows you to "digitally" zoom the camera outout and remove the borders.
@@philbinks how can i remove black edges on magic lantern? Thank's

On the 6D the hdmi is only 720. Does ML actually output 1080 hdmi during live view or is it a zoomed version of the 720?
Many people get the Full HD (upsampled) resolution when connecting through software based broadcast software e.g. Ecamm Live. The natural video resolution for the 6D is 1728x1080px
@@philbinks so using that in a multi-cam setup with the Atem mini, it will look different than the other 1080 cameras?
Try it to see if it suits your needs.
@@HelpfulPhil Is this me or magic lantern page is not working :( , does anyone have files for 6dMark II and can upload it to wetransfer or something
@@marcinsamotyja there is no ML support for the 6D Mkll. Looking into why the site is not working right now.
Is it possible to get full screen out without the black bars?

@@HelpfulPhil thank you so much! Any way to get rid of the side bars also?
@@RacelifeCo Did you ever figure this out?
@@m1yth455 unfortunately no
Hey Phil do you maybe know how to get rid of the live view timeout while using the camera with hdmi cabel as a webcam?
how to turn the autofocus off?
On the lens
@@HelpfulPhil sorry i mean the when its on :D like the focusbox. is it possible to turn it of cant use it as webcam with autofocus
@@PlayMrGerman most of these cameras are not able to have Autofocus swith HDMI output.
I use the 5dMarkiii with it, but it is not really clear hdmi out. It still shows the record button, and also is a bit squished, despite choosing 16:9 t/b of course
etc.
any ideas? :)
I don't know why it shows a Record button ??..you could try a different Aspect ratio e.g. 16:9 bottom, under, but I don't think it will make a difference.
Tried all of it. Doesn't change. Also tried with clearing the overlays with ML, that worked, but it is still squashed. Mhhh
@@0oTHEJACKo0 what happens if you choose 3x2 ratio ? does that allow you to 'enlarge/crop' in your receiving app.
@@HelpfulPhil same unfortunately.
@@0oTHEJACKo0 What HDMI capture card are you using...also 5Dlll is supported by Canon webcam Utility via USB
Will this work on a rebel 5
T6
T5 yes. T6 no.
@@HelpfulPhil ok thank you do any canons offer clean hdmi from factory? Or do you k ownof any dslr that do?
14bit raw possible?
not when you're recording HDMI out. Check the ML site for in camera recording options.
Sad, no 6D Mark II
no need as most ML features are built in by Canon for that model.
@@philbinks There is no Clean HDMI on it
@@atticusnari try www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/self-help-center/eos-webcam-utility/
doesn't work on 600d/T3i. This is not a clean hdmi out. Its simply hiding the overlays.nothing more.
the resolution is still the same as the Display. And i have a black frame on every side. For streaming its useless
You might have the settings incorrectly set ? look at Display > Advanced Settings > Screen Layout.
@@HelpfulPhil I changed that. But the t3i doesn't fill the screen.
Hi program all good, but on my Canon 50D is still any help?
Canon 50D is listed on the supported cameras list in the description
