I want this so bad this one or the baby lock but I love the built in walking foot I’m new at sewing I really want to make blankets and quilts I’m going to practice for now on my pfaff passport
Wow! What a magnificent Pfaff!! I’ve had a Pfaff 2124 for 15 years. Time to upgrade. The features I really love on this new machine are the higher space from the needle plate to the machine top for more visibility. I love that the bobbin is visible and loads from the top. The larger throat will make it easier to machine quilt. I love the USB connection - and have a question. I am a Mac/Apple user. Can I upload to a thumb drive and use it with this machine? Great features. Definitely my dream machine. Am searching for the best price. Thank you for your wonderful video!!
thank you so much for video,.. If I lived there I would purchase from you,, but I am in Az in Mesa... it is a great machine and I am happy to say that I an getting one, very blessed!!
I wish they could have an option to have your own tablet or if you could remove the tablet so if any problems with vibrate that can hurt the computer that’s the only thing I worry about
I viewed this machine in a dealership showroom but I did not like the plastic cover over the bobbin and unfortunately the plastic cover is over the bobbin on the throat plate with the exception of Pfaff Select 4.2, which I purchased. It is a front bobbin load, which I love. The Select is not in the same catagory as the Icon but I love the front bobbin load much better and there isn't a plastic bobbin window cover. I have a Bernina B580 with embroidery and this machine is nice. Once again, the Bernina is a front bobbin load machine.
@@sheilawoofter5009 At one point in time, a metal cover was available on sewing machine with top loading bobbins. Now, remove the durable metal cover and replace with a less durable plastic cover.
One thing not told about auto needle threader, it won't work for some needles. I'm not talking about narrow eyed needles. Not knowing this I broke my threader.
I was looking through the manual that I had printed off and there is not a glossary or a page where there are terminology that can explain things do you know if there is a manual out there with the glossary so you can look up stuff? Also is there a Technics book for the icon I did not see one
Where did you find a manual to print. I went to pfaff.com and couldn’t find one. We need a how to book in plan English . It would be nice to see a picture of the icons on the screen with what they do so you wouldn’t get the picture completely out of order or shape while touching everything to see what it does.
Here is a link to the Creative Icon page on Pfaff.com: www.pfaff.com/en-US/Machines/creative-icon. Scroll to the bottom where they have a pdf of the User Manual that you can download or print. There are also some resources that you might find helpful.
TY for the video. One thing I learned that may be a deal breaker for me is that the bobbin size is larger. Does this mean all my prewound bobbins (don't judge lol) can no longer be used?
Yes, the good news is, our bobbins hold 30% more thread. The bad news is also the good news: It's a different bobbin. I have a drawer full of type "L" pre-wounds at home, but I wasn't going to let it stop me. I got one. There are just too many features to let that stop me.
Thanks for getting back to me. My problem is I have MS. The Auto threader is a BIG BIG plus. Manipulating to wind bobbins is not. Tomorrow I get to audition the ICON. Will see how it goes. Thanks again. It IS a lovely machine.
Pfaff Icon tutorial is very boring. Why don't you show it sewing, quilting and embroidery? The drill was a silly example to compare to a sewing machine.
I’m hoping for Xmas this year I know I’m like 8 months away but I really would love this
Awesome video !!!!!! Great demo

PFAFF is the symbol of the best embroidery and swing machine technology.
I like very much since my youngerhood.
Thanks PFAFF.

How is a plastic bobbin cover a problem? I have a front-loading bobbin. Never had a top loader.

@@cherylcentenioblessedvirgi3241 Thank you! My current machine has metal, too. I see the issue. Thanks for responding.

Haw many price of this machine
Do you have a video explaining how to do freemotion quilting (cross hatch) in hoop?
We do not, but I'll add it to our list!
I have a Creative Sensation. I find that it is quite loud when I sew or embroider. Is the Icon quieter than the Sensation?
It is quieter.
Gracias
