And let us not forget how crazily he recovered from having a heart procedure done, got up within days and started dancing in his rehearsals for an upcoming tour. You can't hold this man down. Well done, Marc, and well deserved, Mick!!!! A forever icon if ever there was one!
Thank you for making a video about this great singer! He is truly amazing, not only because of hitting high and low notes, but also because of his magnificent charisma which is clearly seen in the recordings and at shows. Just listening to Miss You, Laugh I nearly Died, Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo or Dance is enough to fall in love. In my opinion, the way he horses around in his songs, enjoying himself, is just great. And, of course, vocal power is what lets him do it so smoothly.
I remember the first time I ever heard Mick's voice on "Angie", first time I've ever heard a Stone's song and I was completely mezmerized. Since then I cant help but to love Mick and all his work 😅
Thanks for this video. Mick is an underrated vocalist like you said. Apart from his superb use of his voice, he sings with a lot of rithm. On the other hand, he is one of the best frontman in rock history an and incredible song lyric writer.
Mick Jagger is in the top echelon of rock vocalists. He's not soaring and flashy like Plant or Mercury, but his bluesy tonal shadings are perfect for the Stones brand of rock and roll and a blueprint for that style of rock in general. I've always been a fan, but I really gained more respect for him when "Gimmie Shelter" came out on Rock Band and turned out to be one of the hardest vocals to match. A lot of subtlety to it that you don't necessarily notice until you try to imitate it.
Best frontman in the history of rock. And I’m puzzled by “underrated”. As early as (or as late as?) 1972 Rolling Stone magazine’s editor Jann Wenner called Mick and Keith “far and away the best in their respective fields”.
He's on my top three, with Bon Scott and Steve Tyler. From the first album to now ,his voice is so expressive. This man is a rich man,but he still sings on a street level.Like Tyler.Sometimes,I don't like when he overexaggerates. But he's such a great talent I often liked his lyrics
He's a great performer! along side with James Brown, Michael jackson. Singing, dancing, entertaining while he's on stage its not easy at all! Try it....
i always called his voice the "jagger growl" it is a unique voice, my favorite vocals are from 1962-1981- his voice has definitely changed now that he is pushing 80
@@nexusi6867 "iconic voice" doesn't mean "superb voice". Anyway, '95/'97 liam gallagher needs no presentations. Oh and he has Hashimoto's thyroiditis, so sorry. He hasn't a superb voice, we're agree. I didn't even say it.

This video clarifies that Jagger isn't an elite singer. That last falsetto is decent. But its a scream. I can wake up from a nightmare and hit those notes lol He can't sing high. Thats a fact. Nothing wrong with it, he has done extremely well with what he has. So fair play.
I'd say Mick is more of a Frontman than a singer and he fronts the Stones very well. Just wouldn't be the Stones without Mick's singing and prancing around on stage. I like his singing with the Stones backing him but as a solo artist, he's nothing great like Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant, Steve Perry, etc.
The next time someone tells me that Jagger can't sing, I'm going to ask them to try to sing "Angie" or "Rocks Off". Then I'll kick them in the balls for extra falsetto so they'll have no excuses.
Surely the greatest front man in rock ever ?? .... who else comes anywhere near ?? Perhaps robert plant and Roger Daltry are in a similar league but well behind jagger.... where are the new guys??? Makes me kinda sad 😑

His scream in 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' from The Rock & Roll Circus is one of my favorite
